  1. Things have been quiet for a while now. The city is safe, and though your previous adventure in taking down Martha's fater has come to a close, you're still somewhat troubled. There's a few things that way heavy on your mind, such as Jane. The girl still hasn't returned home. It's been at least a week now, and none of you have been able to get in contact with her. Her parents are a wreck right now as well, at least they were when they came to ask you if you had seen her at all. It hurt having to lie to them.
  2.
  3. You make a long jump to another building, surveying your surroundings, and all in all things seem to be going quite well. The streets are safe, the people are happy, and there's no real crimes going on. Just like it has been for the past few days. Thanks to this, your friends have all decided to go about their usual lives for now. Saya had been shirking school work along with the newspaper club, while Sadie had decided to buckle down with her police work.
  4.
  5. As for Sanja and Helena, they didn't have to worry about work too much really, thanks to being under Sally. The girl genius had pretty much been allowing them to simplyp relax at home after what all went down (though Helena still would go into work anyway). And Tim had been working on keeping 'Hazel' under control. The girl was not happy with him leaving for school for half of the day.
  6.
  7. Still, despite all that things are relatively calm for now. The only alarming thing to you, is what Hazel said 'Something' is coming. You have no idea what it is, but you're hoping that it was just Hazel being weird.
  8.
  9. You are Red Meteor and you're hoping that nothing goes wrong today.
  10.
  11. >Continue patrolling
  12. >Check up on one of your team(Who)
  13. >Return to normal, wander the town a bit
  14. >Other/Write-in
  15.
  16. >Continue patrolling
  17.
  18. Well, nothing to be gained from worrying about things. You continue your patrol, going from roof to roof and seeing the people below. Some take notice of you and wave, though many are too preoccupied with their own business to notice you. It's another hour of patrolling before you decide that nothing is going on today, and perhaps it would be better to return home.
  19.
  20. BANG
  21.
  22. As if on cue, a resounding bang is heard, and just as quickly, you see smoke and fire rising up from just a few blocks down.
  23.
  24. "And just as I was about to head home..." You mutter to yourself. You send a message out to the others, telling them to get downtown quickly and help with protecting the people. With any luck, this is just an accident of some sort and it'll be an easy clean up.
  25.
  26. Of course, once you get there you realize that you're completely and utterly wrong as a...man...monster...thing is standing amidst all the flames as bystanders flee for their life. The person is unflinching to the chaos around him and with a wave of one of his arms he causes more explosions wrecking the streets around him. You don't waste any time and land in front of him.
  27.
  28. The being looks at you as if sizing you up. "Move aside welp, the reckoning of my master has come."
  29.
  30. "Sorry, I don't really like listening to someone who decides to watonly destroy parts of the city."
  31.
  32. "Hmmm, a fool then. Come and die if you wish."
  33.
  34. >Attack him(1d100+15)
  35. >Who are you?
  36. >Why are you doing this?
  37. >Who do you work for?
  38. >Other/Write-in
  39.
  40. >Attack him(91)
  41.
  42. You ignore his chidings, but begin to move up to him brandishing your saber. The monster for his part brings the arm holding his sword up and brings it down on where he thought you'd be. However, you stop a second early, his slash missing entirely. You think you see him look surprised for a moment before you bring your saber to his side slashing at him with great force.
  43.
  44. Flames jut out of the saber, sending him flying back from you and tumbling a bit. But even so, he gets up and brushes the damage off. Not looking too much worse for wear.
  45.
  46. "Hm, it seems I underestimated you. You have some fight in you after all."
  47.
  48. "I try. Now get out of here."
  49.
  50. "Fool. I am an inquisitor of Lioxal to run from one such as you would be nothing more than an affront to my master. Still...for one of your caliber to be here is interesting to say the least. I will leave you something to test your mettle against while I focus on my important matters."
  51.
  52. Before you can stop him, the being snaps his finger and a swirling black portal opens up before him. As he walks through, a terrifying looking dragon walks out.
  53.
  54. "Okay...was not expecting that." You mutter as the creature roars and looks a you, clearly with the intent to inflict harm on you.
  55.
  56. You're really wishing that today had just been another quiet day
  57.
  58. >Attack(1d100+15)
  59. >Retreat for now
  60. >Other/Write-in
  61.
  62.
  63. Nothing you can really do but take this thing down. It breathes fire on you, which...is a stupid move on its part because fire is your thing. You easily move through the flames and bring your saber into its side. A roar escapes the monster's body as it swipes at you, sending you flying back, but you can tell it's still reeling from the pain.
  64.
  65. Seeing you stagger a bit, the dragon begins moving towards you, ready to attack. Unfortunately, you're still a bit dazed and it manages to grip you between its jagged teeth, attempting to crush you with them. Thankfully, you can hold it off though for now you're in one hell of a bad position.
  66.
  67. "Hey Guys...how long until you arrive? Sort of being eaten alive here!" you grunt out into your HUD
  68.
  69. "O-on my way. Just give me a few minutes! Saya exclaims
  70.
  71. "Sanja and I are closing in as well!" Helena said with urgency in her voice
  72.
  73. "I'm stuck. I have to help the civilians escape." Sadie grunted "It's crazy out here!"
  74.
  75. Well, 3 out of 4 isn't bad right?
  76.
  77. >Roll to break free (1d100+10)
  78.
  79. >60
  80.
  81. You attempt to break free, but the monster has you decidely pinned down. It's taking all you can to just to keep it from swallowing you. You reach for your saber and managed to stab it hard enough in its upper mouth. It's enough to make the monster ease up a bit, but not enough to have it let you go entirely.
  82.
  83. "H-how long now?!" You call out
  84.
  85. "Just a little bit longer!" you hear the other 3 say in unision
  86.
  87. The monster continues trying to crush you to bits some more, some sparks fly from out of your suit, and to make matters worse, you can feel some cracks in your helmet as well. You think all hope is lost until you're sent flying out of the creature's mouth, thanks to a large rock smacking it
  88.
  89. You fall to the ground, getting to your feet shortly afterwards.
  90.
  91. "Sorry, I'm late." Saya states landing next to you "Now mind explaining to me why there's a dragon the size of skyscraper in the middle of town?"
  92.
  93. "Well it started with this crazy skeleton man and-
  94.
  95. "Ugh, nevermind. Explain later." Saya groans "The others should be here soon enough."
  96.
  97. >Roll 2d100+15
  98.
  99. >(74,113)
  100. The two of you deftly dodge the monster's next attack, Saya conjuring up another spire made of stone to throw at the thing. To add insult to injury, you set it on fire, hoping to deal some sort of extra damage.
  101.
  102. The spire sticks firmly in the beast, burning it from the inside and making it roar and howl in pain. It thrashes around wrecking a few buildings as it tries in vain to remove it with its mouth. Unforunately for it and luckily for you, Helena and Sanja choose the perfect time to show up Helena leaps up and stabs the thing in jaw, while Sanja hits the spire driving it further into the dragon's body.
  103.
  104. The two land next to you, sizing up the thing as it thrashes around.
  105.
  106. "So why is there a dragon in town?" Helena asked almost as if she were blaming you
  107.
  108. "You make it sound like it's my fault." you reply deadpan
  109.
  110. "Well you just so happen to be around when things like this happen."
  111.
  112. "Now isn't the time." Sanja warns "This thing isn't dead yet."
  113.
  114. "It's certainly resilent, that's for sure..."
  115.
  116. "Anyone got a plan?"
  117.
  118. You stop and think for a moment and smirk behind your mask. "I think I have one. Everyone, follow my lead!"
  119.
  120. >Roll 4d100+15
  121.
  122. >77,110,111,90
  123.
  124. "Alright everyone ready?"
  125.
  126. "Ready!" the ladies replied in Unision
  127.
  128. "White Moon, keep it distracted!"
  129.
  130. "Right!" Helena replied running forward, the beast lumbering to its feet and catching sight of her. It tried it's best to snap at her as well as breathing fire, but its attempts to hit her were all in vain. She was simply too fast for the beast.
  131.
  132. "Black Asteroid, Slow it down, try to keep it's mouth open!"
  133.
  134. "On it!" She exclaimed getting closer, though staying at range. Summing what shadows she could from the debris and whatever else was laying around to create several large hands that held the dragon in place. The monster tried its hardest to shake free, but it was no good. It's mouth was now held completely open as it breathed fire in vain.
  135.
  136. "Alright Crimson Eclipse, Aim a Spire at its mouth!"
  137.
  138. "Heh, I got your plan now!" Saya exclaimed conjuring up another as she sent it flying at the monster...only for you to hop aboard and ride the thing like a surfboard and directly into the mouth of the creature.
  139.
  140. "Ooooooookay, I was not expecting him to do that." Saya muttered
  141.
  142. "Wait, Red, what are you doing? You're going to go into the monster's mouth!" Helena exclaimed as she saw you sailing past her
  143.
  144. "That's the plan!" You exclaimed, as you went inside the monster. It was dark, but that would be quickly rectified as you began powering up, releasing as much of your energy as you could within the beast's belly. From the outside, the effect was like watching a bomb go off. Your allies watch an awe as the monster's body completely ignites in flames before exploding spectacularly.
  145.
  146. "Red...are you okay?! RED?!" Sanja calls out
  147.
  148. >Memfemamw,d,mawd,
  149. >Walk out, pass out,
  150. >Attempt to actually look cool walking out from an exploding dragon (1d100-20)
  151. >Other/Write-in
  152.
  153. >Attempt to actually look cool walking out from an exploding dragon (89-20=69)
  154.
  155. That...took a lot more out of you than you thought it would. The monster is dead, and you manage to walk away from it's charred body...your body is aching from that attack. You don't think you ever want to turn yourself into a living bomb ever again. Still, despite your tiredness, you manage to maintain a rather cool look as you stride away from the enemy and towards your friends.
  156.
  157. THWACK
  158.
  159. "O-ow, what was that for?!" you exclaim
  160.
  161. "Idiot! That was a reckless plan!" Sanja chastised "What if you got seriously hurt?"
  162.
  163. "It's fine, it was the only thing I could think of to take that thing down for good."
  164.
  165. "Even so...what would we tell Jane if she came back here and we had to tell her you got blown up?"
  166.
  167. You flinch at that. Yeah, Jane wouldn't like that. She may be a bit of a jokester, but she didn't like her friends getting hurt at all.
  168.
  169. "S-sorry, but uh...can I go sleep now? That took a lot out of me." you grumble
  170.
  171. "Oooooh no, We're not done chew you ou-"
  172.
  173. THUD
  174.
  175. You pass out after that, the exhaustion catching up with you.
  176.
  177. "Dammit Red...Saya mutters "Come on everyone, let's get him home." She said tossing you over her shoulder. You'd wake up several hours later to Sadie chewing him out for his reckless plan. She still joined you on the couch though.
  178.
  179. END
  180.
  181. -Bonus-
  182.
  183. "Why have you returned Inquisitor?" Came a booming female voice from within the dark void-like place that he called home
  184.
  185. "I am sorry my lady, I met some unexpected resistance."
  186.
  187. "Unexpected Resistance?"
  188.
  189. "He means he lost." Comes a snide voice
  190.
  191. "Officer." Inquisitor snarls
  192.
  193. "What's the matter, upset because I called it right?"
  194.
  195. "No you fool. There is a credible threat to my master and as such I felt it rudent to report."
  196.
  197. "Yeah sure, whatever."
  198.
  199. "Silence the both of you." The voice booms "I will look into your memories Inquisitor. I will see what you saw."
  200.
  201. "As you wish my lady."
  202.
  203. The voice peered into his mind, seeing what he saw. Seeing Red Meteor, before stopping.
  204.
  205. "That armor...that appearance...it is from Xumir. Huh...then we've already been found out."
  206.
  207. "What shall we do my lady? Shall we mount an all out offensive?"
  208.
  209. "No...we must conquer this city slowly. If we do what we did today, then for sure the hole we've made will be sealed up. No...for now, send in Judge. These followers of Xumir must be killed."
  210.
  211. "Of course. They won't stand a chance."
  212.
  213. "Good. Do not disappoint me."
  214.
  215. -Bonus End-
