500 feet beneath the ocean's surface, the U.S. ballistic missile submarine Colorado receive their orders. Over a radio channel, designed only to be used if their homeland has been wiped out, they're told to fire nuclear weapons at Pakistan. Captain Marcus Chaplin demands confirmation of the orders only to be unceremoniously relieved of duty by the White House. XO Sam Kendal finds himself suddenly in charge of the submarine and facing the same difficult decision. When he also refuses to fire without confirmation of the orders, the Colorado is targeted, fired upon, and hit. The submarine and its crew find themselves crippled on the ocean floor, declared rogue enemies of their own country. Now, with nowhere left to turn, Chaplin and Kendal take the sub on the run and bring the men and women of the Colorado to an exotic island. Here they will find refuge, romance and a chance at a new life, even as they try to clear their names and get home.
A US sub picks up Navy SEALs and receives an order for a nuke launch. Due to the circumstances of the order, the Captain refuses to fire. After escaping an attack from another US sub, the crew and SEALs take refuge on a small island.
I really like the idea of having a rogue U.S. submarine who refuses orders and decides to dock on an island when it&#39;s obvious that there decision would make them very unpopular amongst those who sent them that order. The show will only get about 13 total episodes to tell it&#39;s story and maybe if they lasted till the end of season 1 they would&#39;ve been able to keep it fresh for that amount of time. But the show&#39;s concept doesn&#39;t lend itself well to a long term series.<br/><br/>Andre Braugher as always is great as the ships captain. Not so big on Scott Speedman, I kind of would&#39;ve preferred his former cast mate from Felicity Scott Foley who was great in another Shawn Ryan series The Unit to have had his role as the ships X.O. Robert Patrick as always is great as the ships Chief of the Boat. Autumn Reeser who&#39;s been in stuff like Entourage and No Ordinary Family is good in her role as one of the people who helped design the submarine.
An American sub, I assume in the Indian or Pacific oceans, is order to launch nuclear missiles at Pakistan. When the captain questions the order his boat is attacked by friendlies. What is NATO doing in the Pacific. NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. I&#39;m confused! Why is a Nato tracking facility in the Pacific. I was also on a USN warship that crossed the equator and while it was about 35 years ago (and there were no women allowed on warships at the time), the celebration was nothing like what we saw but actually a mild hazing involving drinking noxious substances, being pelted with garbage, etc. And the rest of the show I found equally preposterous. The ship is damaged in the missile attack but seems to teleport itself to a Tahitian like island. I won&#39;t be watching again.
