Xenoblade NG+ movement and landmark notes

  1. These notes were taken on NTSC-U Wii U. If you are playing on PAL 50 Hz, landmark warps that save little time may not be worth going for.
  2.  
  3. This section will not cover the obvious.
  4. Many things can be covered by simply saying move in a straight line to your destination or cut corners.
  5.  
  6. First note that you will not have visions upon getting items before getting the plot Monado.
  7.  
  8. Colony 9
  9. -After Fiora's cutscene, landmark warp to Main Entrance (mash A)
  10. -After outlook party cutscene, landmark warp to Fortress Entrance (up and A)
  11. -After the 2nd lab cutscene, landmark warp to Main Entrance (move the cursor down left, then down, then A)
  12. -Before the Tephra Cave Rear Entrance, you can jump instead of going around the pillar
  13. -After the save and cutscene after Metal Face, landmark warp to Tephra Cave > Mag Mell Ruins (X, 3 left, A, down, A, down, A)
  14.  
  15. Bionis Leg
  16. -After the broken buggy cutscene, go to Kamos Guidepost then to the left shore of Rho Oasis. Then after killing the Arduns and skipping the cutscene, landmark warp to Kamos Guidepost (up and A)
  17. -After getting to Raguel Bridge – North, head straight towards where the arrow points (fastest way to hit the cutscene trigger)
  18. -After battling Xord and skipping the cutscenes, landmark warp to Spiral Valley (R, up and A)
  19. -As soon as you get the Bask Cave Passage landmark, warp to it (mash A)
  20.  
  21. Colony 6 + Ether Mine
  22. -After Otharon leaves the party, in the maze go right, then left, then straight. Take the same route backwards but hug the left wall
  23. -After getting the Central Pit – Entrance landmark, move backwards and jump off the ledge
  24. -After getting to the Central Pit – Level 1 Area, jump down towards the inner section right after passing the slope at the beginning. You want to land on the raised part in Central Pit – Level 2
  25. -Go to the upper right area of the lift and once the quest distance becomes 435, jump down onto the platform below
  26. -Drop down to Personnel Lift 3 (try to not take damage)
  27. -After taking the lift, get close to the edge where you get on the moving fan. Save and reload there.
  28.  
  29. Satorl Marsh
  30. -Get the Nopon Merchant Camp landmark then warp to it (move the cursor down right a little then A)
  31. -Move to your right and take the path north of the pond between the bridges (you won't take the first two bridges but you will take the third)
  32. -Go left and take the right side of the bridge over the Poison Swamp
  33. -After the bridge, go right through the Barren Moor, you will be traveling on the two largest islands of the Moor and heading towards the Silent Obelisk
  34. -You can get the Silent Obelisk landmark from the tree right of the Obelisk and head into the Dark Swamp for the Dull Radiant
  35. -Landmark Warp back to the Silent Obelisk (up and A)
  36. -After the Glowing Obelisk cutscene, go to the right into Igna Territory for the Blue Radiant (try to avoid the UM right next to it)
  37. -After getting the Blue Radiant, landmark warp back up to the Glowing Obelisk (up and A) and head towards the upper path that goes over the river
  38. -Once on the upper path, take the land bridge (not the High Entia ones) to switch sides and once the upper path ends, jump onto a rock in the river and jump off of that
  39. -Don't immediately take the cutscene. Instead, go directly to the Basin Cave and collect the White Radiant
  40. -At the waterfall at the end of the Basin Cave, go to the left side of the waterfall until you hit the white water. Immediately change direction to go right and you need to jump off a spot in the middle of the waterfall (you can practice this enough to where you won't even take the fall damage animation when you land near the island)
  41. -Take the path along the island until you get to the right side of the Altar of Fate and collect the Rainbow Radiant, then landmark warp to the Sororal Statues (up and A)
  42. -Hope you don't get a vision climbing the wall
  43.  
  44. Bionis Interior (first visit)
  45. -Right in front of the last pillar before the yellow pool, save and reload to get a good cycle
  46.  
  47. Makna Forest + Frontier Village
  48. -Pick up Agni Tablet landmark before going on Bridge One
  49. -After the cutscene at the contaminated area, landmark warp back to Agni Tablet (up twice and A) and jump down into the water
  50. -After going under the tree root on the way to the Eks Watering Hole, head to the right shore of the water and go over the next two tree roots. Walk down the slope and to the right of the two Deinos
  51. -Keep going counterclockwise up Frontier Village until the Archaeology Centre, then take the right path up
  52. -Pick up the Chief's Residence landmark
  53. -After getting Melia back, landmark warp back to Sacred Altar (move cursor right, click L three times and mash A at the same time)
  54. -After getting the Heropon quest, get the weapon on the first floor first, then jump down to the ground floor and talk to the armour salesnopon while taking fall damage
  55. -After getting Riki, landmark warp to Village Entrance (X, 3 left, A, up, A, up, A)
  56. -After passing Breezy Zolos, be heading towards the right path across the river
  57. -Once you cross the river you should pass right by an Ammos Orluga
  58. -Hope you don't get pushed off by the giant T-Rex
  59. -After beating the Telethia landmark warp to Chief's Residence (move cursor right a little and click R four times) then move to the right
  60.  
  61. Eryth Sea + Alcomoth + High Entia Tomb
  62. -After picking up the Centre Gate landmark, go right back in the teleporter and get the Syrath Lighthouse landmark
  63. -After getting Syrath Lighthouse, landmark warp back to Centre Gate (up and A)
  64. -After accepting the quest in the Whitewing Palace, landmark warp to Syrath Lighthouse (X, left 3 times, A, up, A, up, A)
  65. -After talking to the citizen on Hovering Reef 4, landmark warp back to Syrath Lighthouse (mash A)
  66. -After saving the worker at the Ether Crystal Deposit, landmark warp back to Whitewing Palace (X, left 3 times, A, down, A, R, down, A)
  67. -After killing the assassins in the Whitewing Palace, landmark warp to Centre Gate (X, left 3 times, A, up, A, down A)
  68. -Jump over the fence to the left to get to the High Entia Tomb
  69. -When going from B1F to B2F, jump as soon as you get through the door and land on the left. This should open the door as you take fall damage
  70.  
  71. Between High Entia Tomb and Valak Mountain
  72. -After defeating Tyrea and Solidum Telethia, landmark warp to Ascension Hall (R, up and A)
  73. -After skipping the cutscenes and save, landmark warp to Ascension Hall again (R, up and A)
  74. -After landmark warping, jump over the fence and land on the outside of the fence. Jump to the right over the water. This should cancel the dive animation
  75. -After getting Melia back at the Imperial Villa, landmark warp to Ascension Hall again (R, up and A)
  76. -After leaving the Audience Chamber take the left path down instead of diving
  77. -After leaving Alcomoth manually, landmark warp to Syrath Lighthouse (right and A)
  78. -After reaching Central Seal Island, immediately landmark warp to it (mash A) and head right
  79. -After activating the switch on Khatorl Seal Island, landmark warp to Central Seal Island (up and A)
  80. -After activating the switch on Soltnar Seal Island, landmark warp to Central Seal Island (up and A)
  81. -After talking to Dunban, landmark warp to Ascension Hall (R, up and A)
  82. -Hope the Suelo Orluga doesn't get in your way
  83.  
  84. Valak Mountain
  85. -After getting the Hollow Bone landmark, warp to it (move cursor slightly up and A)
  86. -Pick up the Lava Cave landmark before going to the Sealed Tower
  87. -As soon as you get Harict Chapel, landmark warp to it (mash A)
  88. -After accepting the Magma Rock quest, landmark warp to Lava Cave (down and A)
  89. -After getting the Magma Rock, landmark warp to Harict Chapel (up twice and A)
  90. -After leaving Harict Chapel, go left (counterclockwise around the Sealed Tower) and when you get to Ignia Hill, jump over the cliff
  91.  
  92. Sword Valley
  93. -After getting the Ged Fortress landmark, warp to it (move the cursor slightly left and A). After activating the switch, you want to leave the fortress to the right
  94. -After activating the switch in Dolgan Outpost, landmark warp to it (mash A)
  95. -After going through the 4th Gate, take the ramp on the left
  96. -Jump down towards Enalda Control Base and then walk right of it
  97. -After beating Metal Face, take two ramps going down on the right
  98. -After the three mechon, jump to the upper-right behind the pillar
  99. -Jump once again after landing here to the upper-right towards the Fortress Read Entrance
  100.  
  101. Galahad Fortress
  102. -After activating the first switch, landmark warp to the Main Control Room (move the cursor down and mash A)
  103. -After activating the second switch, landmark warp to the Main Control Room (move the cursor up and mash A)
  104. -After activating the switch in the Piston Control Room, landmark warp to the Main Control Room (move the cursor right and mash A)
  105.  
  106. Fallen Arm
  107. -In the Transformer Area, take the ramp on the left
  108. -With Dunban's party, pick up the Giant Mechon Debris landmark
  109. -After the cutscenes on Junks, landmark warp to the Giant Mechon Debris (down and A)
  110. -Go straight to the Piezoelectric Unit and then head over to pick up Digit 2 Plain landmark
  111. -Landmark warp to Junks (move the cursor to the right for a moment then upper-right and mash A)
  112. -After getting the Bulkhead Key, landmark warp to Digit 2 Plain (up and A)
  113. -As soon as you get to the Rotating Bulkhead, landmark warp to it (mash A)
  114.  
  115. Mechonis Field
  116. -Hit the switch that makes the screw come out of the ground. When you get to the section with a fence, walk stright into the top nook of the fence. Jump perpendicularly from the direction you're facing. Jump again as you hit the fence towards the platform below where you need to hit the switch.
  117. -Jump down to hit the 3F Main Power Switch
  118. -After hitting the 2nd switch at the 3F Main Power Switch, landmark warp to Lower Bulkhead Bridge (down and A)
  119. -After the conveyor belt, check the vents. If there is smoke coming out you have the good cycle RNG. If there is no smoke coming out, you have the bad RNG and will need to save at the bottom of the wall you climb and save right in front of it facing it. Reload and mash B to get on the wall. Keep your movement as good as possible (the cycles are tight) and do not jump into the air current (it carries your momentum and you will fall off the map)
  120. -After accepting the quests go to the right. Jump down to the platform hanging out. Then jump down to the arch in front of the 4F Main Power Switch. Fall to the right and pick up the landmark. Then go up and left and jump down to Power Supply Area 1
  121. -After hitting the switch in Power Supply Area 1, landmark warp to Upper Bulkhead Bridge (down and A)
  122. -Jump down to Power Supply Area 2
  123. -After hitting the switch in Power Supply Area 2, landmark warp to 4F Main Power Switch (up and A)
  124. -After hitting 4F Main Power Switch, landmark warp to Upper Bulkhead Bridge (up and A)
  125.  
  126. Central Factory
  127. -Landmark warp to Port Terminal as soon as you get it (mash A)
  128. -In the Control Tower, jump from the slope up to the switches straight to the switch you want to hit
  129. -After getting the Central Warehouse Lift landmark, warp to it (mash A)
  130. -Make sure to pick up the Factory Vent landmark (it doesn't happen when you get the quest)
  131. -After killing M88 Watchtower, landmark warp to Central Warehouse Lift (down and A)
  132. -After killing M97 Commander, landmark warp to Control Tower (R twice, up and A)
  133. -After making the explosive, landmark warp to Factory Vent (L twice, up and A)
  134. -After hitting the switch at the Tower Boarding Gate, landmark warp to it (mash A)
  135.  
  136. Agniratha + Central Factory Revisit + Mechonis Core
  137. -Make sure to pick up the Shrine Transporter landmark
  138. -After hitting the 3rd switch, head down and jump to the right towards the area with Wrathful Orobas
  139. -After hitting the 4th switch, landmark warp to Central Tower (R twice, up and A)
  140. -After hitting the switch in the Data Centre, landmark warp to Shrine Transporter (up and A)
  141.  
  142. Bionis Interior
  143. -Take every right turn, except at the Pars Sympathica Tower go straight
  144.  
  145. Prison Island
  146. -As soon as you get the Prison Gate landmark, warp to it (move the cursor slightly left and A)
  147. -Alleyoop off the claw and into the teleporter (I find jumping from the middle finger at an upper-right angle works best)
  148. -After summoning the dragon, landmark warp to Gondorl Cathedral (up and A)
