After watching the long opening cutscene that I don't think changed from the original game our young lad Matthew set out on his 1230891203981097938247492 pokemon journey this time accompanied by many more pals than ever before. He quickly rushed to grab his hat and his backpack and set out to explore the Alola region!!

It wasn't long after setting out without a pokemon that Matthew was attacked by a feral Yungoos because he's a pussy. Luckily the starter pokemon came to his rescue and it was love at first sight between Rowlet and him. Rowlet joined the party! (Named Willow)

Almost immediately after we bumped into our rival Hau who picked Popplio as his starter so we quickly bopped him and moved on with no second thought.

OH NO RANDOM STRANGER LILLIE AND HER POKEMON NEBBY ARE IN TROUBLE MATTHEW TO THE RESCUE..... rescue mission complete everything is fine. She was the professors assistant what a coincidence! and we found a mysterious shiny rock :ooo

The next day the professor taught us how to catch pokemon so I grind out a few levels on Willow and catch some pokemon with the free pokeballs I got.

Grubbin, Caterpie, Yungoos, Pikipek, Ledyba added to the our collection.

and our first pokemon named after a person is Bryce the Buneary! c:

We fight Hau again and end up struggling because his new Pichu parahaxed me so much I almost lost a few pokemon would have been mad but we made it out barely.

We get our pokedex and catch a few more pokemon.

Alolan Meowth, Magnemite, Wingulll, Tucker the Slowpoke, and Ginga the Zorua!

We grab the EXP share and grind out a bit more exp looking for more pokemon. That's all the time I got for tonight it's time for me to sleep.

Sorry it's long and boring the early game in this gen is painfully long and boring. We'll get through it though!
