  1. Born from the womb of the Whore of Babylon and the seed of Lucifer, Esmé was one of possibly many born from their infernal joining. Yet, despite the supposed existence of many siblings, Esmé was the only one born according to the prophecy that labeled him as the Antichrist. However, soon after he was born, he was given up by his mother to the mortal world where he was placed at the entrance of a mortal hospital.

  3. Seeing a baby abandoned at their doorstep with no indication of who he was, (save for his first name), or where he came from, the hospital took him in. That is when things started to go south for Esmé. A doctor, rather faithful in his belief in God, was given a vision of what the Esmé would become when he became of age. While the intent was to have the doctor prepare the world for the appearance of the Antichrist, the demon Belial soon came upon the doctor. Disguising himself as an angel, he told the doctor that he should do all that he could to make sure that the End of Days did not come to pass, to include killing the baby Antichrist.

  5. Belial’s strategy proved to be fruitful. In the deep of the night, the doctor went to Esmé’s cradle and tried smothering the newborn to death. Being wholly too weak to defend himself, Esmé was almost killed before the doctor was discovered by another nurse, who not only tried to stop him, but called for security. After a scuffle, the nurse was gravely injured and the doctor was apprehended by the police, only to later be become part of the populace of a nearby mental ward.

  7. This was the first time that Esmé discovered the fault of Free Will. For, while his own existence was, essentially a design by God, he had witnessed humanity acting against it to their own demise. While this would have been forgotten by any other infant, the Antichrist was special in that he maintained every memory that he had since his conception. That singular act of attempted murder against an innocent would not be forgotten by the Antichrist and, thus, changed his goal of giving Free Will without Consequence to all beings, to eradicating Free Will from everything in order to ensure that suffering never occurred again.
