  1. The IOT (Internet of things) allows us to connect all kinds of different devices such as mobiles, laptops, consoles, cameras and these are just the main things. However, the inserting fact is that nowadays we can connect things which are not so common like fridges, cat feeders, t-shirts or even a human heart. [2] That is correct even a human heart, this is how much technology has advanced since the internet was developed. In simple words, IOT takes all the things in the world an connects them together to the internet. This also implies that we can be connected to each other. Nowadays things that we take for granted such as checking your phone for weather, reading the news or even paying with your mobile in a shop weren’t simply possible before.

  3. In the modern age, we are surrounded by devices and nearly more than half of our population has access to the internet. [1] However all these devices need to be connected to a network of some kind to have access to the internet. This is where the new 5G kicks in and I feel that all of us can potentially benefit from this idea. This, of course, doesn’t mean that we did not have anything before 5G as we had a lot of different types of mobile networks such as 3G or the most recent and commonly used 4G. I think that talking about the 5g network and how will it impact all our lives is a very interesting thing to talk about.

  5. Therefore, in my report I have chosen to write about the announced 5G network and what does this really mean to us. I strongly feel that this is a good subject to pick because the “Internet of things” is all about devices and the internet. If we had no internet and networks the world would look much different to what it looks like today meaning we would not be as advanced and many things that we have or use today, simply would not exist. Therefore, we would not have the “Internet of things” as we would not be able to connect any device to the internet.
