- The first thing you want to do is turn the volume down to about 10%...
- Momodora is the first of many pixel platformers created by Rdein. The stages are usually quite straightforward with weapons that require some mashing. There are some branching parts for collectables, which are not necessary for any%, so I have written those unneeded paths below.
- Starting Point: Pressing [A] on New Game in Main Menu (not Time Attack, that gives you only 3 hearts)
- Ending Point: Last hit on the Final Boss, third phase. Dialogue will start with
- "Gah! Is the will to see your mother that strong?"
- Controls:
- Arrow Keys to move. When there's multiple dialogue, press DOWN ARROW to continue.
- A = Jump
- S = Attack
- D = Item
- Q = Change Weapon
- E = Change Item
- Enter shows your inventory, but we don't pay heed to that.
- Escape closes the game instantly!
- There are scarce save points out there, so prioritize survival over speed on some occasions. Furthermore, dying will take you back to the main menu, so don't forget to select Load Game afterwards (You'll have to press ESCAPE to close the game if you chose New Game by accident).
- New weapons and items are usually along the path or at the end of a hall.
- You equip new weapons automatically.
- Collectables mostly have their own area or are hidden away.
- Paths to avoid!
- Area 1: Avoid hidden collectable behind a wall
- Area 2: Avoid the yellow area to the right. (Has a save point at the beginning, however!)
- Area 3: Avoid the green pipes downward.
- Area 4: (Optional) Path to the right after the zigzagging hall contains a Machine Gun at the beginning.
- Area 5: Nothing in particular. RECOMMENDED TO GET THE ITEM AT THE END OF THE FIRST HALL!
- Area 6: Nothing in particular. RECOMMENDED TO GET THE WEAPON AT THE END OF THE FIRST HALL!
- Area 7: When the road splits into left and down, fall down instead! All the pickups at this point are collectables.
- Final area: There's a heal point but no save point before final boss.
- Since there is NO save point in front of the boss, I will spoil strategy.
- First phase: Ganondorf-style tennis to beat it.
- Second phase: Use previously mentioned capitalized items to beat.
- Third phase: Same. However, if second phase didn't laser the higher platform, you can stand on the higher ground to avoid projectiles easier.
- (I couldn't resist submitting the first after seeing the second got banned)
