  1. 2019-01-05 GO Bank (casing) II
  2. Sydney, Wolf, Hoxton, Dallas
  3.
  4. [18:00:21] <Sydney> *After an awkward ride back to the safehouse, Sydney waits for people to disperse before going to check on Wolf.*
  5. [18:02:19] <Wolf> *When Sydney finds him, Wolf's sat on the couch, hands folded, staring into nothingness. Not unusual Wolf behaviour.*
  6. [18:06:02] <Sydney> *Sydney takes a seat, half draping herself over the armrest of the couch opposite his.* Hey. How ya doin'?
  7. [18:09:33] <Wolf> *Wolf looks up when she sits down, blinking.* O-Oh, I.. I'm good. You?
  8. [18:13:00] <Sydney> I'm alright. *She shrugs.* I dunno, seemed like you were pretty torn up about something in the car. Now, I know you don't know me like you do the other guys, but if you wanna talk without having to worry about the same baggage you'd get from the others...
  9. [18:13:13] <Sydney> Well, I'm here.
  10. [18:14:55] <Wolf> *He looks back down at the floor, monotone.* .... You wouldn't understand.
  11. [18:16:45] <Sydney> You'd be surprised. I might seem chipper, but I got my demons too.
  12. [18:19:31] <Wolf> .. did you ever read any reports about harvest and trustee?
  13. [18:20:06] <Sydney> Every one I could get my hands on.
  14. [18:21:01] <Wolf> There were three civilian casualties. All because of me.
  15. [18:21:57] <Sydney> How you feelin' about that?
  16. [18:22:59] <Wolf> .. I'm a monster.
  17. [18:23:14] <Wolf> *He curls up, again, hands on his head.*
  18. [18:24:58] <Sydney> *She sits up, leaning forward a bit.* Nah, mate. The real monsters don't feel anything about what they do.
  19. [18:25:52] <Wolf> They didn't have- they didn't have to die. I just- I just wanted to kill them. *He's crying again, fabulous.*
  20. [18:28:26] <Sydney> *Sydney glances around, locating a tissue box and placing it within reach. She lets out a long and heavy sigh.* You remember that guard that Hox tried to save? In the diamond store?
  21. [18:29:58] <Wolf> *He nods, shakily.* Y-Yeah, that- was dumb. Cops deserve to die.
  22. [18:32:18] <Sydney> I shot him in the head on my way out of the building. Sure, he was a cop, but he was disarmed and completely helpless. I don't even really know why I did it.
  23. [18:35:44] <Wolf> ... It?s nice to have someone?s life in your hands, isn?t it?
  24. [18:35:56] <Wolf> To get to decide whether they live or die?
  25. [18:37:31] <Sydney> *Sydney nods solemnly, and says in a quiet tone,* It's a real rush, innit?
  26. [18:38:34] <Sydney> Real easy to get caught up in it.
  27. [18:39:24] <Wolf> *He looks back up, grinning.* It so is. And- and the screams-
  28. [18:41:37] <Sydney> *Sydney shares a faint smile.* The fear in their eyes.
  29. [18:44:39] <Wolf> Some of them start crying. They?re like scared little animals. *He chuckles.*
  30. [18:59:16] <Sydney> They're at your fucking mercy, and they know it. It's fantastic. *Her grin fades as she slowly shakes her head and looks away.* Until things go too far. Then you're just left with blood on your hands and a fading memory of what used to be a person.
  31. [18:59:19] <Sydney> I get it. I do.
  32. [19:54:27] <Wolf> *He looks at her, a small but genuine smile in his eyes.* ... You?re the only one who ever has.
  33.
  34. [20:12:51] <Dallas> *Dallas comes back around to the safehouse in the late afternoon, asking if the two of them wanna join him--he's heading back to the bank to have another look. Clearly bushy-tailed about the gold in the vault, and suspiciously tight-lipped about what happened with Wolf back there. Not a word about it.*
  35. [20:15:35] <Hoxton> *Hox is perched in his little fort of evidence and leads but perks up as soon as he heards Dallas arriving. He's definitely on board, the gold rather tempting and the bank a welcome challenge.* Count me in, fella. *he excuses himself for a moment to don civilian clothes. Another set of plain winter jacket and hat pulled deep in his face. Scarf wrapped around his face.*
  36. [20:17:45] <Sydney> *Sydney similarly assents, changing up her outfit and grabbing a pair of sunglasses.*
  37. [20:18:56] <Hoxton> *Hox joins them, looking eager to head out* We should probably also share what we saw yesterday. The way I see it, it could be an interestin nut to crack.
  38. [20:21:33] <Sydney> For sure. If things go bad, though, it could turn into a deathtrap.
  39. [20:21:47] <Dallas> *Dallas pushes through the door into the alley, to where the car's parked. Unlocking it.* We can talk about it on the way there. C'mon.
  40. [20:22:16] <Sydney> *Sydney nods and hops in the back.*
  41. [20:22:51] <Hoxton> For whom? *Hox shoots at Sydney but there is no mean edge to the comment. He nods and heads after them to the car, where he enters*
  42. [20:24:49] <Sydney> For us. Giant-ass windows on the entire front half of the bank. Skylights. Easily blocked off road. Tons of good sniper nests.
  43. [20:27:00] <Dallas> *The little Dallas mask jingles merrily against Dallas' keys in the ignition. Again, safe and careful driving.* Good spot. So let's keep it quick and quiet. See anything interesting in the back of the place?
  44. [20:28:01] <Hoxton> *Hox nods, looking thoughtful* Bloody hell, yeah. Quiet as fucking church mice. *He looks at Sydney* Ya mentioned a big sewer grate?
  45. [20:29:16] <Sydney> Yeah. Looked big enough to carry bags down without even touching the sides.
  46. [20:29:43] <Dallas> Might be worth a look. Any cams overlooking the grate?
  47. [20:31:17] <Hoxton> *Hox listens in quietly, tempted to throw in his intel. Oh that a whole nice crate of gold might be waiting. Or more? Get's those heister juices flowing*
  48. [20:32:09] <Sydney> Not that I saw, but I'll double check. I only spotted it as I was leaving; didn't want to double back and make the guard suspicious.
  49. [20:32:55] <Dallas> *Dallas nods.* Good work. Hox, you see anything while you were in there?
  50. [20:35:34] <Hoxton> Yeah. The cam coverage is tighter than a priests arsecheeks. I saw one guard and the one Sydney mentioned. I'd say there might be more though. Leaving so much buillon unattended? Dumb. *He leans back* manager's got a card. Couldnt see where his office was. Was busy dealin up front with some shite.
  51. [20:38:16] <Sydney> They might not have been wanting to make a big deal about it. Extra guards could make people think something extra valuable was in there, yeah?
  52. [20:39:29] <Hoxton> But then the GenSec dropoff aint exactly a sneak job either. Which reminds me. Anyone's got the time?
  53. [20:41:04] <Dallas> Chances are that gold's not sticking around for long. Might have to make our move soon. *Dallas takes a different route to get to the bank. Sun's just setting. Display on the dash says it's about 1630. Half hour to closing. Small branch, short hours.*
  54. [20:43:23] <Hoxton> So anyone of ya up to open a new account? Or get a shiny new credit card? *he gets out the brochures from the previous case and grins* I bet I'd be a sweet opportunity to have a look at that manager's office.
  55. [20:48:01] <Dallas> *Dallas looks over at the brochures, chuckles.* Hey, if you wanna give it a go-- *He parks back across the street at the gas station, different spot on the other end of the lot.*
  56. [20:48:55] <Hoxton> *Hox grins but the grin wavers a little* Ya sure? I thought you or Sydney could give it a go. My beautiful mug might be a little...ah. Flashy.
  57. [20:49:25] <Hoxton> Rates are decent, though. Maybe they'll let ya choose a picture for it.
  58. [20:51:02] <Sydney> Could always have two of us pretend to be a couple. Two pairs of eyes are better than one.
  59. [20:52:15] <Hoxton> *Hox' eyes widen a little, then bursting out, laughing*
  60. [20:52:27] <Dallas> ((So yes-- "Along with the offshore bonus, Bain sends along two padded envelopes, one marked "Hoxton", the other marked "Sydney". Each containing a full set of photo ID with a fresh alias. A small paper insert says passports, etc. are in the works and will be sent along when they're finished."))
  61. [20:52:29] <Hoxton> Bloody hell! Ya two? Do that!
  62. [20:54:24] <Sydney> *Sydney rolls her eyes.* Could be any two of us, ya pom.
  63. [20:55:16] <Dallas> *Dallas retrieves his keys, looks at Hox, glances into the back at Sydney.*
  64. [20:55:45] <Hoxton> *Hox is still laughing, eyeing Dallas and her, the picture just too good. He is about to toss out a comment but bites his lip, heading out.*
  65. [20:55:49] <Dallas> Alternatively--you two could be my kids. That'd work too.
  66. [20:56:05] <Hoxton> *Now that shuts Hox up. BIG EYES AT DALLAS.*
  67. [20:56:25] <Sydney> *Now it's Sydney's turn to laugh when she sees his expression.*
  68. [20:57:01] <Dallas> *Dallas chuckles.* What? You don't think I got what it takes to be a father?
  69. [20:57:05] <Hoxton> *Hox grins, almost mean.* Ya wanna be our dad?
  70. [20:58:08] <Dallas> I am your dad. Now--c'mon. Let's go. I promise it won't take long, and I'll even let you two pick out a restaurant on the way back.
  71. [20:58:30] <Sydney> Aw, thanks dad! *She winks and giggles.
  72. [20:59:07] <Hoxton> *Bloody hell. Christmas came early* Thanks daddy! *He wraps the scarf around his face, making sure it sits neatly* We wont make ya turn this car round.
  73. [20:59:59] <Dallas> *Brief face of intense regret.* You're welcome, kiddo! *And Dallas gets out, turning his collar up against the cold, waiting for them before crossing the street.*
  74. [21:01:37] <Hoxton> *Hox is laughing into his scarf but soon biting it back. Focus on the gold, Hox!* Ah, ya can see the cams from here.
  75. [21:03:53] <Sydney> *Sydney shakes her head as she follows them. This is going to go swimmingly, innit.*
  76. [21:06:17] <Dallas> *The cameras stick out against the light color of the wall and ceiling. Always watching. Dallas leads the way in, holding the door for them. It's quiet in the bank. No other clientele in the lobby, and just the one teller behind the counter. Familiar. Looks like the guy who had the other keycard.*
  77. [21:06:56] <Dallas> *Guards and manager must be in the back of the building. Just him out here right now.*
  78. [21:07:31] <Sydney> *Sydney starts to play up the teenage girl angle, taking a few selfies. Which happen to coincidentally have the teller in the background.*
  79. [21:08:44] <Dallas> *Lucky her, she catches an interesting detail. The second the three of them came through that door, the guy started sweating, hastily closing the cash drawer. Looks shifty. Embezzling bills?*
  80. [21:11:14] <Hoxton> *Hox tries to look casual, pretending to shudder from the cold outside. His getup might be a little heavy, so gotta act convincing.* There's even coffee, dad. *He cant help it but then quietly tries to count the cams in here. And where they are looking. Hox probably doesnt notice the shifty teller, busy studying the room.*
  81. [21:14:25] <Dallas> *Four altogether, good coverage. But not impossible for them to obscure given opportunity to do so. Tree merrily glinting in the corner, Christmas songs still going in the background. May your heist go as planned... Ironic for a bank. Dallas moves past him, giving him an affectionate dadly pat on the head.* I don't know. Caffeine... *Headed to go talk to the teller about opening an account here.*
  82. [21:16:36] <Sydney> *Sydney plays it cool, trying not to draw attention to herself. Busily texting, or at least appearing to.*
  83. [21:19:09] <Dallas> *The teller gives Dallas a smile and comes over to greet him, but his hands are shaky. Not the way he looked when they saw him during the GenSec drop. Close call. Pretty close to closing, so who knows? Might be able to catch him leaving if you're so inclined.*
  84. [21:19:39] <Hoxton> *Hox snorts, nodding and casually looking around for the bathroom. Sounds like a reason to have a little stroll around while Dad is busy doing adult business.* Oi, Syd. Gotta piss. *Lowly, hoping to let this pass as teenagerly banter. Or...something*
  85. [21:20:07] <Hoxton> *Also what's up with that Teller? Hox glances up at him. Fella's pretty nervous*
  86. [21:20:53] <Sydney> Whatever. *She scoffs and rolls her eyes.*
  87. [21:22:32] <Dallas> *Doorway leads into a little area in the back of the building. Looks like offices. Bathroom must be back there somewhere.*
  88. [21:22:32] <Dallas> *Doorway leads into a little area in the back of the building. Looks like offices. Bathroom must be back there somewhere.*
  89. [21:25:41] <Hoxton> *He's tempted to mime to shoot out those cams. Little bastards are making him nervous. But he just sticks his hands into his pockets, walking to the back. Offices sound like a nice place to look around. He checks for any guard having a look, then heads on*
  90. [21:31:10] <Dallas> *He doesn't encounter any guards, but there is a door back here marked Security. Offices have glass walls, so he gets a good view of the manager sitting in his office on the phone. One more camera pointed down the hallway here, mounted just over the doorway.*
  91. [21:31:33] <Dallas> *The door to the security office is ajar.*
  92. [21:35:01] <Hoxton> *So the cams are watched locally. Very good. Makes it easier than having to block them remotely. He notes the position of the manager, hoping Dallas can score a meet with him. All the while the open door is rather tempting. He goes to rummage in his pockets, dropping the brochures. A little curse and he goes to pick them up, sneaking a glace as he does so.*
  93. [21:39:21] <Dallas> *Bright glow of monitors in there. Nearest chair's empty, but there's a still steaming mug sitting on the desk. Then, the closed bathroom door opens, and a uniformed guard comes out, straightening his tie. Coming back towards security.*
  94. [21:42:41] <Hoxton> *Hox quickly scrambles his brochures together, trying his best to look plenty sheepish. He makes a little nod towards the bathroom and heads for it, shooting a look at the guard. Armed? Keycards?*
  95. [21:43:09] <Dallas> *Meanwhile, out here in the lobby, Dallas is still leaning on the counter talking to the teller. Something about wanting to move half a million into an account here with them. The teller seems more impressed than scared now, and says he'll go get the manager and they can speak in his office. Dallas turns to Sydney, says* Y'wanna come, kiddo? Promise it won't take long.
  96. [21:44:01] <Sydney> Ugh, fine. *She rolls her eyes and follows.*
  97. [21:44:58] <Dallas> *Armed, yes. Keys on his belt, no sign of a keycard unless he plans to frisk him. The guard looks a little confused seeing a client back here, but takes it in stride, giving him a nod as they cross paths.* Afternoon.
  98. [21:47:07] <Hoxton> *Hox nods back, grinning sheepishly.* Am I allowed back here? I got to use the restroom. *He tries his best to swallow back the accent.*
  99. [21:50:07] <Dallas> Guard: Hey, sure. Go right ahead.
  100. [21:50:53] <Dallas> Guard: Hey, anybody ever tell you--you sound kinda like...
  101. [21:51:41] <Hoxton> *Hox nods and is about to walk to the restroom where he almost jumps. A cold rush goes down his spine but he stops and half turns.* Excuse me?
  102. [21:52:39] <Hoxton> *Act naturally. Those credit card rates are fuckin fantastic!*
  103. [21:53:05] <Dallas> Guard: Sorry, never mind. Have a good day. *And he heads back into the security office.*
  104. [21:56:26] <Hoxton> *Uh oh. Hox nods back with a little smile, and heads for the bathroom. He slips inside, taking a deep breath. Bloody fucking hell, that didnt feel nice. He stays there for a second, opening the door a little to check the security gard. Still keeping a lookout?*
  105. [21:59:54] <Dallas> *Guard's gone inside the office. But from his vantage point, he gets a good view of the manager's door opening, and him coming out to warmly greet Dallas and Sydney and welcome them into his office to have a seat and discuss. Might be near closing, but for an important account like this, he can make time.*
  106. [22:00:53] <Dallas> *Brief reminder that you can always text/call your teammates in case of trouble.*
  107. [22:03:44] <Hoxton> *Alright. The cam is pointing into the other direction of the hallway, isnt it? Are there any more offices around?*
  108. [22:05:08] <Dallas> *There are, but they're probably locked. What's he trying to do?*
  109. [22:06:43] <Hoxton> *He briefly considers breaking in, picking those locks but the risk isnt worth it. He decides to head on back out, find that sewer grate Sydney talked about. Let them handle the manager. He squeezes back out, heading for the outside.*
