Ware and Hoot dashed to either side of the Yautja and aimed their guns down. Then they froze. Jiango heard a dull explosion, saw the fluid splash across Hashori's legs and their combat suits, and then the sizzling began. The suits handled the molecular acid, but Hashori hissed loudly as her legs were burned. She tugged a canister from her belt and sprayed something up and down her shins.-pg.184 chpt.15

The Xenomorph's tail lashed around, sharp tip kissing across Hoot's combat suit and opening it up, impacting hard across Hashori's back. She took no notice. Driving the blade forward and up, she twisted her arm and opened a wide wound through the center of the beast's head. A gush of fluid spattered out and down across her arm, and she drew back, dropping her prey. She retrieved the canister again, spraying the sticky acid with the contents as it started to smoke and sizzle on her skin.-pg.186 chpt.15
