-Maren has spent time with Osari, learning different ways to harness the energy of her soul. First by being able to sense surface level emotions, and then a more practical use in learning to heal. Her ability to fill her weapon with her soul helped in quickly learning these techniques, and may influence those same holy techniques into her swordsmanship.

-The moment Maren touched the scimitar that Hakim gave her, she was suddenly imbued with knowledge on sword-fighting. Ever since then, she's been training her body to the best her ability to handle a sword. She may have the know how, but she still needed to develop a good muscle memory. Over the course of her previous battles, especially against other swordsman, she's built up a better understanding of her fighting style and strengths.

-Maren has a focus on becoming the next priestess, learning all she can about holy power. This search into priesthood may provide an alignment to her soul, changing the way it interacts with her sword to become a self-proclaimed Sword Saint. If she dies now, Osari won't be able to pass her teachings along, and she's uncertain if Osari has anybody else in mind to also become a priestess, though she knows that nobody else has come to her with the request for training.

Moment: Maren and Kin have yet again come to lethal blows. Kin instigating the fight by attempting to slap Maren, leading to an argument of Maren bringing Kin all of the facts of his behavior, and Kin denying that it is anything bad, up to the point of drawing his own sword against Maren with the intent to kill.
