       You could say that Jaehwa is a glass half empty kind of guy - he's always looking at the negatives instead of the positives, and you can tell in the way he behaves and speaks. He's a critical person, always pointing out flaws, mistakes, and what could be changed without thinking of who it could it be hurting. He's logical, and a bit apathetic, which has caused others to label him as emotionless and cold while it's quite the opposite. Most of the time, Jae feels too much, always fired up with his quick temper and ready to do whatever it takes to get his voice and opinions heard no matter who it is he's speaking to. He's driven, with a mindset of reaching his goals no matter the consequences and obstacles, and very stubborn once he sets his mind to something. This leaves him practically fearless, compassionate and daring to do what he needs to when it's needed. Of course, he has his fears like everyone else, but can try his best to push them away if it's necessary.
      Along with these traits, Jaehwa is an earnest person - when I said he feels too much, he really does. He sympathizes and gets attached too easily to those he trusts, and when it comes to their safety he doesn't think twice about what he needs to do to protect them. He's honorable in the fact that he is set firmly in his beliefs and will abide by them no matter what without budging, even if the company says otherwise. He dislikes lying of any kind, and often will think lesser of you if he finds out that you've lied to him when you could have told the truth. He holds grudges for a long time, and has enough pride that he's rarely the one to apologize first unless he feels deeply guilty about something.
►| BACKGROUND: (im kind of winging this bc i don't really understand it??)
      Growing up in the slums of Daegu took its toll on Jaehwa, as it did all the children he grew up with. A single father and two boys, they stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the outskirts of the major district with barely enough to get them by. When he wasn't in school, the elder brother was often looking after the younger and trying to make any extra money he could for the two all the while keeping his father from finding out. To put it simply, the old man was an alcoholic, with selfish tendencies that did not extend to his two children. He often got angry when he was drunk, and was upset by the slightest of things. When there was extra money, he took it all, and when there wasn't, he blamed both boys. As the older sibling, Jaehwa often tried to take the blunt of the punishments, but it wasn't always the case. When he was eighteen and his younger brother thirteen, they were paid by an elderly woman in their apartment complex to help carry her groceries upstairs to her home. It was enough to buy both a few snacks from a convienence store and a CD that the younger had been wanting, but their father came home earlier than expected and found their rewards still out in the open. He'd swung on the younger boy in anger at the "waste of money" and he went sprawling to the floor, his body more light and birdlike than both Jaehwa and his father's. In retaliation, and before he could think about his actions, Jaehwa had leapt at the older man and knocked him to the ground. The site when he was finished (both with his hands and the liquor bottle the man had brought home with him) was gruesome, to put it simply, and both young men have tried not to talk about it as best they can. As Jaehwa was of legal age, he could become the legal gaurdian of his brother, and after successfully removing the man from the apartment and feigning innocence when an officer told them their father had been killed while coming home drunk off his ass, he was granted custody as a ward to the boy until they were both of age.
      There were other incidents, of course, during the next few years. At his brother's school, he was picked on for just about everything - his feminine features, poor grades, income, and closeness to his brother, and of course Jaehwa couldn't just sit and let it happen. He'd gotten into altercations with more than a few of his brother's classmates, but none as extreme as what happened to his father - yet.
