UDG - New Game Plus

New Game Plus (NG+) can be accessed by choosing "New Game" on a file that has beaten the game (such files have a star in the "Load File" screen). NG+ files differ from NG files in the following ways:


- Settings in the Options menu (Volume, Camera controls and Event Skip Confirmations) are remembered;
-- As such, you do not get the option to choose your Camera Mode at the start of the game;
- You start with every Skill you collected and equipped with the same ones from that file's last save;
- You start with every Bling Bullet and Scissor Upgrade you bought (you'll have to re-equip Bling Bullets, however);
- Any Scrap Notes, Books, Hit Lists, Socki the Sock pages and Hidden Kids found in that save file carries over playthroughs (this means that the cutscene for finding the hit list in front of the elevator in the hotel does not occur). Delivered Hit Lists and which notes have been read also carry over;
- The People and Help tabs also carry over.



To speedrun NG+, all you need is a completed save file. However, to optimally speedrun NG+, it is recommended that you:


- Find and equip the following skills:
-- Violent Urge, Destroying Urge, Killing Urge, Battle Skill. These will directly help you go faster;
-- Highly-Anticipated Body, Star Body, Envious Body, Awakened Girl Power, Brimming Girl Power, Unwavering Girl Power, Gatherer, Excavator, Adventurer. These will give you more health and health regeneration, which aid in survival (especially in NG+ Despair);
-- Electric Up, A Girl's Bond, Saving God, Inner Power Generator. You shouldn't ever enter Despair Time in NG+, but it doesn't hurt to have them;
-- (If any of these somehow help you:) Quickfire Skill, Super Quickfire Skill, Precision Shot, Super Precision Shot, Autolock.

- Purchase Divinely and Devilishly (DivDev).
-- Purchase ONLY DivDev and no other bling bullets to save a few frames from less menuing.

- Purchase every scissor upgrade (except for Number of Combo Attacks).
-- I don't buy any "Number of Combo Attacks" upgrades because they can make failed dash attacks and killing ball monokumas slower. However, they might be helpful for defeating certain enemies, especially junk monokumas or bosses, faster, I'm not 100% sure. I would recommend, if possible, that you have a save file with no scissor upgrades purchased, allowing you to create save files with whichever scissor upgrades you wish to use (same for bling bullets, although I doubt anything other than DivDev is ever gonna be faster).
-- Lust Gauge Capacity and Lust Gauge Growth Rate are not important for NG+ Genocide, but they can be useful for NG+ Komaru/Despair (there's no cons from buying them anyway).

- Deliver every hit list you have found to Hiroko.
-- She's right at the start of Ch.5, deliver them there then save your file.
-- You don't need to find them all, just deliver all the ones you have.

- Set "Confirm Event Skip" to "Without" in the Options menu.
-- Feel free to adjust the other settings to your liking.
