  11. [08:22] [sendak.freenode.net] [freenode-info] channel trolls and no channel staff around to help? please check with freenode support: http://freenode.net/faq.shtml#gettinghelp
  12. [22:55] <NotAnAirline> I see
  13. [22:58] <NotAnAirline> Hi everyone, just politely left solvers. My thinking was a little bit too philosophical and the names of my friends were not to be believed. Called me a troll and a liar. So here I am, what do you think?
  14. [22:59] <NotAnAirline> Oh yes. And too 2009 a swell. Whatever that means.
  15. [22:59] <NotAnAirline> Am I in solitary confinement?
  16. [23:00] <NotAnAirline> I'll tell you what I think:
  17. [23:02] <NotAnAirline> This is more than cryptography. Much more. These people are careless, untidy and not as clever as they think they are.(http://www.aftenposten.no/meninger/debatt/article1674180.ece#.UtxGAH94WSM)
  18. [23:03] <NotAnAirline> I think there are layers of subterfuge here that we feel but cannot see.
  19. [23:07] <NotAnAirline> In the philosophical world we use thinking to investigate thinking. Everyone agree with that statement?
  20. [23:09] <NotAnAirline> Anyone disagree and got a better idea?
  21. [23:12] <NotAnAirline> I've repeatedly insisted that will be solved by thinking. I have wondered if there is indeed a "solution" at all. There is a possibility the whole thing is a load of bollox and waste of band width
  22. [23:15] <NotAnAirline> Are there any professional philosophers here? I know two, they might be interested, they might not 20/80 I estimate. I'll talk to them when we next meet. Maybe in Hamningberg when spring comes.
  23. [23:17] <NotAnAirline> I might as well go to sleep now. I don't need to think aloud in this empty room. I've got one already between my ears.
  24. [23:57] <Notanairline> Couldn't sleep. But wonder. There are cicada people here, I can smell them. Maybe they are looking for enlightenment and inspiration themselves
  25. [23:59] <Notanairline> Any fool can make a puzzle that cannot be solved, I've said that before. What would be the point of that?
  26. [23:59] <Notanairline> One can than make a puzzle which can be solved at ones leisure.
  27. [00:00] - {Day changed to Monday, January 20, 2014}
  28. [00:00] <Notanairline> Why?
  29. [00:01] <Notanairline> Why bother with any of this? To make the world a better place? Pull the other one.
  30. [00:02] <Notanairline> William Blake? They must be joking.
  31. [00:02] <Notanairline> Runes?
  32. [00:05] <Notanairline> Unpolished work. I repeat my self a lot, but this just does not make sense. The not bother getting you title page centered is unforgivable. That typeface! Uhhhggg!
  33. [00:06] <Notanairline> No no no. If this shit is not intentional then I will turn away in disgust.
  34. [00:06] <Notanairline> Why?
  35. [00:07] <Notanairline> Is that you Xy?
  36. [00:08] <Notanairline> Just a ghost.
  37. [00:14] <Notanairline> I'll come back tomorrow. I'll speak to you then, whoever you are.
  38. [00:16] <NiceLurk> lel
  39. [00:18] <NiceLurk> their design/editing skills were never perfest
  40. [00:18] <NiceLurk> blake is their popular them sice 2012
  41. [00:19] <NiceLurk> but they sued few other authors also

  45. [04:39] <love4daocult__> hi
  46. [09:32] <noflightstoday> Hello?
  47. [09:32] <tim0k> hi
  48. [09:33] <noflightstoday> It's very quiet here isn't it?
  49. [09:37] <noflightstoday> I was here yesterday, talking to myself. I hop somebody read my thoughts.
  50. [09:39] <tim0k> this channel has been quite from the beginning
  51. [09:43] <noflightstoday> Good, those noisy people with them crazy XOR blasters and calculators won't bother us here then. Some of them were quite rude to me. So my for free thinking.
  52. [09:45] <noflightstoday> I tried to smoke them out. Was mostly ignored, then ridiculed then told to shut up. That is not a smart way to cooperate think I.
  53. [09:46] <tim0k> yep
  54. [09:48] <noflightstoday> That was yesterday and I'm over it. Today I continue to think. :)
  55. [09:51] <noflightstoday> I will henceforth use the abbreviation "ca" for Cicada, just so you know. I wish the to uncover the truth, the same as everyone else does. OK?
  56. [09:51] <tim0k> ok
  57. [09:52] <noflightstoday> Now, breakfast!
  58. [11:12] <alohja_> so the humanist part ofthe game dont get the same atention seeing as there are so few people active here
  59. [11:13] <tim0k> yes
  60. [14:39] <wideroe> I've been thinking again.
  61. [14:41] <wideroe> About one aspect of puzzle in particular, and in general about the minds of those who formulate such an artifact.
  62. [14:43] <wideroe> When I see something chiral, I have a great desire to rotate it and reflect it. ( reflection is just rotation in 4-space, but hey! Who cares)
  63. [14:44] <wideroe> Thrips no way of knowing which base those numbers in the matrix are, only which base they are not.
  64. [14:46] <wideroe> This will affect the output after rotation/reflection. 71 / 17 is not identical in dec, oct, hex . Osv
  65. [14:46] <wideroe> That was just an example
  66. [14:50] <wideroe> The great big 3 and 5 in the small image are not just random, they could have been "rune" as well. 35 and 53 ARE the same value in hex and dec. they are only primes when apart from each other.
  67. [14:51] <wideroe> What happens if I rotate/ reflect this: 19 57 35 ?
  68. [14:54] <wideroe> It becomes: 53 75 91 NOT 35 57 19
  69. [14:54] <wideroe> ( just simple example)
  70. [14:55] <wideroe> Was that example in dec or hex? YOU decide.
  71. [14:55] <wideroe> Does it make any different?
  72. [14:57] <wideroe> That was all the first part of my pondering, dvs the particular part.
  73. [15:00] <wideroe> Now for the general ( nice being alone, cannot "troll" alone canβ€½ Cheese Head.
  74. [15:03] <wideroe> Gentlemen, please now leave your slide rules and abaci outside with your prejudice and passive-aggressive countenace. Good. Now let us proceed.
  75. [15:05] <wideroe> I want to understand the cloak of mysticism which being wafted around this whole ca business. Any thoughts?
  76. [15:05] <wideroe> Anyone?
  77. [15:06] <wideroe> We all know it's utter bullshit right?
  78. [15:07] <wideroe> I think it's either a smokescreen or ca really do believe it β€” possible a bit of both, in a controlled stratified way.
  79. [15:09] <wideroe> I want to find out which.
  80. [15:11] <wideroe> To paraphrase Nil Bohr: of course I don't believe in it, but that doesn't mean it's not true! [ Love it btw, keep a horse shoe in my car because of him!!]
  81. [15:11] <wideroe> Lucky for me I don't keep a horse shod in my car.
  82. [15:12] <wideroe> The point is of course the converse is also true.
  83. [15:13] <wideroe> I'll spell it out:
  84. [15:14] <wideroe> Just because one DOES believe in something, that does't mean it IS true.
  85. [15:15] <wideroe> Please feel free to point out the error in my thinking. I know this is basic stuff, but everything is basic stuff at the bottom of it. Grunnfjell.
  86. [15:18] <tim0k> "When you are studying any matter, or considering any philosophy, ask yourself only what are the facts and what is the truth that the facts bear out. Never let yourself be diverted either by what you wish to believe, or by what you think would have beneficent social effects if it were believed. But look only, and solely, at what are the facts."
  87. [15:19] <wideroe> One of the facts are the cloak of mysticism. Why?
  88. [15:20] <tim0k> it
  89. [15:20] <tim0k> it's just an illusion
  90. [15:20] <wideroe> Of course it is, but why?
  91. [15:20] <tim0k> greatest mystery is that there is no mystery
  92. [15:21] <wideroe> Why pretend there is one then?
  93. [15:21] <wideroe> Power?
  94. [15:21] <wideroe> Dominican
  95. [15:22] <wideroe> Sorry, mental auto correct, meant Dominian?
  96. [15:24] <wideroe> maybe this is just one big gag! nobody really solved the last two and will not solve this one either. Total fraud scenario is always a possibility. We sometimes to things just for the sheer hell of it.
  97. [15:25] <tim0k> but we love the puzzles..
  98. [15:25] <tim0k> the outcome don't matter in the end
  99. [15:27] <wideroe> No it doesn't not to me. But just for fun, I'd like to find a way to test my own thinking, not for any purpose other than humour and playfulness. If I start to take myself too seriously please shoot my with you XOR blaster or slap me with a wet fish.
  100. [15:28] <wideroe> Note to self: dismantle autocorrect.
  101. [15:28] <tim0k> this is also educational experience
  102. [15:28] <wideroe> With out doubt!
  103. [15:29] <wideroe> Playing and humour are the best ways to learn, by far. Don't be afraid to make a total arse of yourself. I do it all the time, just makes me laugh even more!
  104. [15:31] <wideroe> Everything is education in one or an other, if you want it to be.
  105. [15:32] <wideroe> My car's ready, I got to go. New shod, vinterdekk
  106. [17:55] <wideroe> Further to my discussion earlier with tim0k.
  107. [17:57] <wideroe> There is indeed a mystery here. A mystery anything we don't know. There is plenty here we don't know, not to mention the "solution" to the puzzle.
  108. [17:58] <wideroe> I'm thinking here in the identities and motives of ca.
  109. [17:59] <wideroe> Whether or not this matters of course depends on your own perspective. An nihilist for example will point out that nothing at all matters. Full Spektrum between that and everything matters.
  110. [18:01] <wideroe> But because we don't know what the objectives of this group are, we cannot decide one way or the other. Maybe it does matter very much indeed.
  111. [18:02] <wideroe> This puzzle involves very many factors:
  112. [18:02] <wideroe> I will list some of them. After dinner.
  113. [18:03] <wideroe> (And most but not all remain unknown and therefore mysterious)
  114. [20:10] <wideroe> What logic is this?
  115. [20:11] <wideroe> And the behaviour upon the discovery of the ca server.
  116. [20:13] <wideroe> We do not know what ca are doing do we? Or maybe some of us do. Test.
  117. [20:15] <wideroe> All human beings make mistakes. All of them. That is part of what it is to be human.
  118. [20:17] <wideroe> It's not unthinkable that ca have made an error or errors.
  119. [20:18] <wideroe> Or can make errors in the future.
  120. [20:20] <wideroe> As I've pointed out before: they have time on there side to fix, develop or evolve their plan. We we only observe such errors as blind alleys or "red" herrings.
  121. [20:21] <wideroe> Ego will break them in the end, who has time on their side now?
  122. [20:23] <wideroe> Ugliness, gracelessness, carelessness and arrogance are not great or noble qualities, are they?
  123. [20:25] <wideroe> I've been admiring the helleristninger pΓ₯ Alta. fine craftsmanship, klar tale.
  124. [20:26] <wideroe> Test
  125. [20:26] <wideroe> i
  126. [20:27] <wideroe> poke 1
  127. [21:21] <wideroe> I think this silence is vert interesting.
  128. [21:22] <wideroe> It's Golden
  129. [21:23] <wideroe> I call fake
  130. [21:24] <wideroe> Bogus
  131. [21:28] <wideroe> Noam Chomsky β€” If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all. [turns away, in disgust]
  132. [00:00] - {Day changed to Tuesday, January 21, 2014}
  133. [16:59] <pudge> im new to the chat but i've read pretty deep into it. I think it would be possible to find the end by circumventing the puzzle and just use social engineering. the people responsible have a pretty unique set of interests and they obviously enjoy patterns and layers. you can tell by their use of language that at least one person speak native english and we can narrow it down to an age bracket +/- 10 years
  134. [17:02] <pudge> it could also be presumed that they are Caucasian and Male
  135. [00:00] - {Day changed to Wednesday, January 22, 2014}

  137. [00:00] - {Day changed to Friday, January 24, 2014}

  139. [03:28] <ksihkehe> Oh, this channel has died. Shame.
