SS - Doctor assisted burn treatment

[11:44] Kai narrows his gaze at Najin.

[11:44] Kai Cromwell says, "Down the stairs."
[11:44] Kai Cromwell says, "Now."
[11:46] lifted his head slightly as footsteps passed behind him, then lifted it further as Kai appeared. His ears flicked forward, then back to the sides with a faint whine, something of a mix between hopeful and fearful. He didn't waste any time in following the command, even though moving sent waves of pain up his side, causing him to limp slightly as he clutched it. The kitsune would duck his head as he walked, eyes lowered and tail tucked in.

[11:49] Cromwell shows on remorse for the injured Kitsune. Hopefully, he would've learned his lesson. He hoped he did - or like all rapid dogs; he'd need be put down. And Cromwell obviously did not want that.

"Move." His command was as sharp as the pain Najin was feeling up his side.

[11:52] Sophia walked into the clinic and nodded Najin's way. Shrugging off her cloak and draping it over the chair, she grabbed a clean towel and proceeded to summon water into her hands. Using the water and towel, she wiped away all of the blood on her body.

Her blades were removed and set aside. She then turned her attention to her lab cloak. Summoning a mist, she ran her hands over the cloak, washing all of the blood out of it. She used the towel to clean up the floor, then tossed it in a soiled linens bin.

Sophia pulled on the damp cloak, covered hands in clean gloves, and then tied a face mask on over her mouth and nose. She picked up another clean towel, wet it with a spell, and turned her attention to Batt.

"Take off your shirt and the bandages. I'll clean you to prepare for Chief Cromwell." While she waited, she glanced to Kai coming up the stairs and then Najin departing.

[11:56] Batt followed Sophia up the stairs, casting a short-lived glance at Najin as she prepared herself. The boy was swiftly shooed away by Kai, who'd followed them up the stairs. He didn't care much for what happened to him, and simply listened as Sophia gave him his first set of instructions. Removing the eastern-stitched shirt, he slowly unwraps the bandages about his abdomen before taking a seat on the end of the table.

His previously cross-cut scarred chest, treated for shattered ribs, was now burnt ontop of this, leaving a nasty scarring all over.

"Thanks, Sophia."

[11:56] Kai Cromwell says, "Gloves. Mask. And for the love of Azrael cover your hair with something."
[12:04] She nods at Kai and uses the towell to wrap up her hair and tie it over her head much like it were drying after a shower. She collects another clean towel from the stack, and moves back to Batt. Summoning water with a whisper and a sigh, the towell darkens damp, and she begins to wash Batt's chest. She squeezes the towell to drip the water on his skin, then swipes the towel over it without much regard for any tenderness in the wounds.

Looking into Batt's eyes, and nodded after he thanked her, then looked back at her work.

[12:12] "... Stop."

Cromwell uttered out, clearly bamboozled by what she's done. Was she really treating a BURN patient with a WATER DAMPENED towel? That infuriated him, pretty much.

"You do not treat a burn with water, especially after it's healed half-way. That would just make everything worse and worsens the infections, if there were any." Cromwell sighs, before walking over himself - taking Sophia's hand into his, while reaching for a scalpel and a pair of tweezers from the side, placing it into her other hand, taking a hold of the both of them.

Like a puppet, Kai proceeded to cut off the skin which was already dead and too damaged to heal on it's own.

"You start off with cutting off the dead skin AND muscle tissue. Musslce tissue once it reaches the point of death, from clotting - burning or other reasons, produces an enzime which is toxic to the body and may cause symptoms samiliar to inflammatory heart failure or an all organ shut down."

His touch was warm and his grip was steady, moving Sophia's hands with utmust percision - as error was no part of his game plan. Everything needed to be perfect or damn near that. Mediocre is something he can not live with, and never will.

"Then, after cutting off the patches of dead skin - the build up from the burn needs to be drained, then cleaned with rubbing alcohol and afterwards, the wound would be covered and the patient is administred to mandatory rest."

It would appear that Kai was already done with the worst part of Batt's injury, giving advice to the next couple of steps. His hands were quick, and to be fair, he's done this a lot over the years - his experience growed expadentionally with time.

[12:16] Batt would pass out and be free to be checked over by the two of them. It was easier for him to just let himself go under, especially considering that necrotic flesh from the burn required removal.

[12:22] She curses herself with a mumble. She knew better than that. She had watched Dusk cut burned flesh off of Maina Invidia, after all. She had meticulous notes on the procedure.

Sophia relaxed, letting Kai guide her hands. They were held firm but flexible, and she watched his every move as the skin was cut away. She nodded every few moments to show she understood what he was explaining to her.

When he moved his hands away, she took up a wad of cotton and a glass bottle of alcohol from the shelf per his instructions. She looked Batt in the eyes as she used the alcohol on the scalpel to clean it, then set the bottle aside.

Leaning forward, she used the scalpel to puncture and drain the build up Kai spoke up. She used a dry towel to catch any run off of puss on uninjured skin, and her glove covered fingers to apply pressure to encourage more to come out.

When that task was complete, she set the tool and towel aside. She wet the cotton with the alcohol, and began to clean the wounds of puss and blood. A glance was turned to Kai to look for approval or criticism.

[12:32] Kai Cromwell says, "Use gauze... Towels... Are not used for medical purposes."
[14:47] Katherine says, "Alright, take a seat. I'm going to go give you soap and water and a cloth. Now, with the clth, you just dip it into the bucket and just wash your body. No more using your tongue, more with your hands."
[14:48] While Katherine gave him instructions, Najin found a small unused beaker to place the dirt and flowers in. He even leaned down to inhale slightly before nodding to confirm he'd heard her, delicately cupping one of the flowers with a softer expression.

[14:49] Katherine says, "Good, Najin, good."
[14:52] The bucket and water was given. He took his time trying to work out cleaning himself like this, but he'd learned a bit from his last shower situation. It took a little while before he was cleaned up, and he still hated it, but it was tolerable for the gem he now had. Once finished, he'd lay his head down on the desk and stare longingly at the flowers.

[14:58] Sophia shoves a book into the shelf and then starts browsing the titles for another. She nods when she find one and pulls it free. She smiles and nods at Katt, then takes a seat beside her. She opens the cover and begins to read.
