  1. Fiona, the female half-elf was sitting in a tree, with her bow and arrow, watching on what was going on in the town of Pemberely. It was a very nice, golden afternoon and she was able to see all sorts of supernatural creatures walking and talking amongst one another. As she was absorbing and taking on the sunlight and cool breeze going through her skin, including face, she saw a human with a corner of her eye.
  2.
  3. "Killer of my parents." Was the first thought that she came to mind. Her eyebrows did raise in fear and in anger as she started to have that thought of the war between the two sides which were the supernaturals and humans. She closed her eyes and tried to at least think about the tweets of the birds, the cool wind howling, and the greenery of the surrounding forest.
  4.
  5. Instead, she was having a flashback to the time of the war and even though she was young when this happened, her own parents were still killed. To this day, she had to emotionally accept that both parents were dead.
  6.
  7. -Flashback-
  8.
  9. As this was a very sad day for the half-elves, this war did happen a hundred years ago which did end recently, and they still carried a grudge on the humans, whom killed many of their tribe members. They knew that although they could speak the human language and act like their enemy side, their kind and humans could not manage to accept one another as they are.
  10.
  11. -Present-
  12.
  13. Fiona's tears started to fall between her rosy cheeks as the flashback continued, as she was still in disbelief of that very day.
  14.
  15. -Flashback-
  16.
  17. The clan was in shock as the leader announced that humans killed at least half the members. The members whom were still alive were in outrage and sadness, hoping that this day would have never come, but many others being skeptical of the human race, knew that this time would be coming. A young female half-elf named Fiona was looking around for her own parents, while walking through the rest of the crowd. "Mama, Papa? Where are you?" She called out in fear and worry, hoping that her parents would be safe and sound to return to their homeland. The chief of the clan turned to her with a frown upon his face and raised his finger up to her chin. "My young one, your parents are no longer here with us. Our enemy, the humans have killed half our troop, including them." As Fiona heard this sudden news, she felt tears streaming down her face, shocked to hear all of this, not even having a place to go. She was running with tears in her eyes, looking for shelter, and as this went on for a couple of hours, she felt her dress being ripped by a branch of a tree and fell on her knees, bleeding. "Please, someone help me!" She called out, hoping that someone would help her.
  18.
  19. -Flashback Ends-
  20.
  21. When sitting in the same tree, Fiona continued to sob, having her cheeks being red from all the trouble she went through, especially hearing about her parents dying. Her guardian, while doing some berry picking, found Fiona and sighed deeply and walked towards her. "Come down, dear. Is it another flashback of what happened?" Fiona, hearing that, came down and nodded very slowly. Her face was still red from all that crying, but she knew that she had to put on a brave face for her own guardian who raised her since she took her in during that time. She looked up at her, still sniffling. "Yes, grandmother. Another flashback." She used her handkerchief to wipe her tears away when looking away for a couple of seconds before gazing back at the elderly woman.
  22.
  23. She had to know as to why they, both are living there currently instead of being with the clan to protect them from another human. Although she knew on that very day, she and the guardian went to Permberly, she still had that question in mind for a long time since they arrived. "Why do we live here now? I do not want to see another creature being killed by a human." The guardian looked into her eyes with a look of determination, thinking about her answer. She knew that there was an announcement regarding peace between both sides and they both were there for a purpose. "Fiona, we came here on our own to see if this announcement was going to be true. I remember you told me that you were up for the idea, and you showed me that you had hope in your eyes. I am nervous myself because of what those humans did, however, we, in unison must be up for this proposal. We cannot go back now unless there's another attack." Hearing all of that from her made Fiona believe the woman who was raising her since she needed the confidence and love her mother once gave her as a baby before she passed on.
  24.
  25. Fiona, rubbing her eyes, hugged her guardian and looked across the area of Premberly and sighed. She did have hope but inside, she was still very nervous and time will tell it the both sides will come into peace or another war would emerge. All Fiona had to do was still walk in her parents' footsteps as she always did when she got taken in by her guardian. She held hands with her and gulped, hoping that no human would get into an argument between them at all.
