  1. [01:10] Nima Hatayer says, "Perhaps.. We should go back to the mountain or something."
  2. [01:11] Nima Hatayer says, "It will be far darker there, but."
  3. [01:11] Nima Hatayer says, "Also easier to see the stars."
  4. [01:11] Nima Hatayer says, "Yep. Doing it."
  5. [01:14] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Well. "
  6. [01:14] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Nothing else to do, then..."
  7. [01:14] Angelo Sanguinis says, "I guess that's it."
  8. [01:15] Angelo Sanguinis asks, "You alright staying by? Or you have any plans on helping me?"
  9. [01:15] Angelo Sanguinis says, "There might be something on it on..."
  10. [01:15] Angelo Sanguinis whispers: Rose's book.
  11. [01:16] Nima Hatayer says, "...Right."
  12. [01:16] Nima Hatayer says, "Might as well read it."
  13. [01:17] Angelo Sanguinis whispers: But what about the sleeping beauty there?
  14. [01:18] Nima Hatayer says, "Good point."
  15. [01:18] Nima Hatayer says, "Uh."
  16. [01:18] Nima Hatayer says, "Beach it is."
  17. [01:21] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Let us go, then."
  18. [01:22] Nima Hatayer says, "..Stars in the sky."
  19. [01:22] Angelo Sanguinis asks, "Is it night?"
  20. [01:23] Nima Hatayer says, "Not exactly, but the stars are there."
  21. [01:23] Angelo Sanguinis says, "Ah. Then..."
  22. [01:33] Angelo quickly scurries something along his purses. And then, after revealing a bigger purse than every other one, covering something obviously big and burly, the blind boy pulls its tying ropes loose, only to reveal the book that Rose had given him a few days ago.
  23.
  24. This might be the last copy, but since its been given to him, there has been little to no damage to it! Blonde hair flowing with the breeze, he touches against the paper cover, before finally pulling it off from a small rope that tied it to his own belt. After all, he couldn't afford to lose it at all!
  25.
  26. The cover has been specifically modified by him, something leathery, with diverse bumps on it. He could easily identify the cover by it -- Even if there weren't words imprinted upon it, it had been made with such care that the young boy clearly valued its content to the core.
  27.
  28. Yes, it's true that to this point he did not have a single clue of what was written inside, and what was written, or even if it was helpful or matching with what was said to him! But he knew for a fact, this was something that he would need any day.
  29.
  30. The book is then risen to eye level, as if he could even see it through all that. He smiles gladly, before handing it to Nima, both hands holding it -- It wasn't heavy, but it needed to be taken with all security measures that he could.
  31.
  32. "There you go. I don't know what's in it... But I've been eager to know." He said, voice overtaken by a chipper tone that most people would perhaps not see in their whole lives. Whatever expectations he had made for such a book, they were high.
  33.
  34. Under the leather cover used for identification, laid the imagery drawn by Caprise, under the title: "The Path". For Those of the Light. Arcane Magic and the Land of Agartha. And under it, the signature of past holders, those notable enough to have their very notes added to this point.

  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [02:00] The mountain top would have been a better place for them to read it. It held meaning to Nima, and perhaps to Angelo as well. They did learn quite a lot, they advanced and started to understand the world around them in many different ways.
  41.
  42. Their path, their future was completely aligned- And this book would most likely be the final stretch for them, to a new start. One that they actually already did begin, but didn't realize it by now. Nima holds the book with care, he knew how much it means to Angelo and to Rose- Not to say that he was far too curious and excited to know what it was about.
  43.
  44. He didn't take much time analyzing it, simply opening the first page as he reads it, curious eyes acquiring the knowledge that had to be passed to Angelo. It would be a learning experience, and most likely something that would bond the two boys to make an even stronger friendship.
  45.
  46. "The Path, for those of the light, Arcane magic and the Land of Agartha. By Caprise, Cullen Edderlin and Raya L'Paix."
  47.
  48. He starts, a short pause as he smirks.
  49.
  50. "For those of the light.. I suppose that's the way they spoke about 'Order' back then, since it was written by the year of 1449. At least the beginning. The first author wanted to make sure that he would pass his knowledge to everyone, including history, magic and much more... It's like the notes from my mother in a way, but far more complex and detailed. He believes that magic is originated by.. Love. What an interesting concept."
  51.
  52. Nima couldn't help but to give his own opinion on the matter, of course. He gave a quick read on the preface, since it simply told more about the ones who wrote about the book. If Angelo actually wanted to know about them, he would tell Nima, right?
  53.
  54. "The first part speaks about 'Promise'. The Promise is something that one has to remember, to try to look upon once you feel in doubt and.. Afraid. It speaks about self control and discipline, and that magic should be used to do good, and good only. The Arcane magic is a guiding light, one that gives us purpose to drive us forward. We are a vessel to it- I suppose this is about the lifestream, and how Order Magi are used 'by' it to bring Order. 'Order binds our world, we are all connected. In death, we are born again'. See? This clearly speaks about that."
  55.
  56. A short pause, as he continued to finish that chapter.
  57.
  58. "It speaks about honor, kindness, forgiveness and peace. To only draw your weapon if you are ready to kill someone, since it truly taints the soul. The Arcane is our guide, and that we shouldn't let our emotions control us."
  59.
  60. "By being reborn, we are eternal."
  61. (Nima Hatayer)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [02:22] The blind boy maintains his attention steadfast throughout the reading of Nima. It was true, however, that this feeling that their path was by now forever intertwined, and that this would be the start of a new path for them. That this would be the turning point, of a choice that they had made long ago and perhaps denied that they did.
  65.
  66. Angelo, at least, had made his choice. He didn't know it, for it wasn't a conscious decision, but deep down his very mind knew that there was a Path for him to take. Oddly combining with the name of the book: "The Path".
  67.
  68. It is true that this was an action of curiosity, to have someone read this book to him -- But it was such a huge amount of curiosity, that he felt like it was fate that made him end up earning this book. Like this was bound to happen, that he would eventually wind up learning about its contents.
  69.
  70. And was he charmed by it. Every single word that Nima spoke was like magic to him, the blind boy facing the calm ocean waves that came forth to this bridge. Perhaps not the most calming place of all, but to only have to hear meant that he could close his eyes and relax. That he could close his eyes and focus entirely on the reading that Nima did.
  71.
  72. The names of the writers are engraved in his mind. Caprise, Cullen Edderlin and Raya L'Paix. Who these were, was a question beyond answers, even if Raya L'Paix herself gave the book to him, under a different name. Appearances and impressions were something that resided too far away for the poor blind boy to access.
  73.
  74. "I certainly hope to see your mother's notes one day, Nima. She seemed like a wise woman. It is great that this man managed to pass this down, isn't it?" He said, a kind smile popping up in the middle of his expression, far too natural to be held back by even the strongest of wills.
  75.
  76. "Magic is certainly fueled by Love. But this-- It does speak of the ways to grow closer, doesn't it? Does it describe -- How it feels? How it is?" The boy was far too eager to learn about this. This was a lesson that would only come in later in the book, the abilities of the Arcane and how they influenced upon each person's perception of the world.
  77.
  78. But still, there was a time and place for everything. And now, by speaking so much in the brief pauses that Nima allowed him to speak, Angelo shut his mouth and allowed the man to continue the reading. After all, what he was doing was something that was a favor to him -- Being so rude and anxious might disturb his companion.
  79.
  80. And yet, he had already received his answer, so promptly delivered to him. Not all of them, but whatever short answers were received to his questions filled the boy with such delight that he forgot about the other ones. Perhaps this was it.
  81.
  82. "We're vessels? Order Magi are vessels? This-- This aligns with what Rose said! We're... We're supposed to bring balance and peace, Nima? We? I mean..." Far too ecstatic to find his own limits on questions. He was trying to take a step far bigger than his own leg, but this was something that he needed. To take risks. Ironically, that is what a demon said to him.
  83.
  84. "We do our magic for good alone, isn't it? And... I don't know. I kind of look for guidance already. Honor, kindness, forgiveness and peace... I like this, Nima." He said, turning towards the man. He opened his eyes wide, even if his smile almost forced them to shut back down. A hand rose towards the book, being put in front of it.
  85.
  86. "This-- I don't know. I like this. This is far better than what they teach at the Academy." He said, joy filling over his phrases. Of course, the whole concept of it would go above most of the people's minds, but for him -- The Arcane was so easily perceptible. He failed to see the world through his eyes, but he knew for a fact he could feel it. "I have a serious question, Nima. Is this fate? That we ran into this book?"
  87. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [02:43] Nima wanted to read that book even before Angelo brought it to him. And once he started it? It was like he couldn't stop doing so. The content was interesting, it connected several blank spots inside of Nima's mind, spots that made him unsure and afraid of things. What could he do, but to smile while seeing so much light inside of it!
  91.
  92. "S-She was wise, I know that much. I am glad that others thought the same as her and managed to write such an amazing book. I-It truly is impressive."
  93.
  94. A short nod, as the book by itself kinda answered some of Angelo's questions. He stopped for a moment, closing the book and giving it back to Angelo. This time around, he seemed a bit more serious than enthusiastic- Even if inside of him, he pretty much filled his purpose now. He knew what he had to do, and it seemed that Angelo knew it as well.
  95.
  96. "We do good with our magic. We act with the intent of aiding others, and not for selfish reasons. I.. I suppose that in a way, we are like the authors of this book, and that we were just afraid to admit it to the others, to sound 'biased' in the middle of so many Chaos Magi. Well.. At least that's how I felt. But I agree, this is much better than what Ishmael and the others taught us- This feels right, and we should do it because it's the right thing to do."
  97.
  98. Silence, as he speaks once more.
  99.
  100. "It is fate. What is the probability that a Valmasian that was raised by the continent of Jianghu, son of a woman who tried her best and fell into darkness, would meet with a blind boy and, in the end.. They would have the same ideals, the same good into their heart, the same will to bring balance? I actually have a better question."
  101.
  102. A sigh.
  103.
  104. "How many students of Pleur Academy would be willing to listen to this, and open their eyes to the wrongness of this world? We managed to, I am sure that many others can be saved."
  105. (Nima Hatayer)
  106. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  107.
  108. [03:01] After a very uneventfull and ore-free exploration of the cave the boy would end up in a very unusual place: a beach house, something that nobody seemed to have back in Ezmara, Ardyn wondered why, as he got close there were some distinct male voices that seemed to be doing something, the boy would not know so he decided to approach both figures in his friendly way.
  109.
  110. "Hello there, Hello, Good day to you, and you. Well met my dear companions."
  111. (Ardyn)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [03:13] The boy seemed to hear upon every single word that Nima said. Well, these were certainly words that could mark upon him, his future and whatever else he'd have for now.
  115.
  116. "We-- We are, Nima! We certainly are!" He said, voice maintaining the chipper tone as he observed the seriousness morph into the expression of his friend. He grabbed the book, putting it in the same place as before.
  117.
  118. The blind blonde continued heeding upon his friend's words, nodding in agreeance to every single proposition! The soft echoes of his "Mmhmm!" were vivid, disputing with the very ocean's waves that hit just by their side.
  119.
  120. However, there was a difficult question in the end, one which brought a hint of somberness upon his expression. The big smile upon his face faded, lips curling into a frown, mouth slightly agape as his eyebrows perked their nose end slightly up.
  121.
  122. "We will do--" He said, before sensing the tremors upon the beach's sand. The boy kept still, hands upon his thighs, gaze slightly lifting up, diamond-like eyes perhaps facing into the eternal beauty of the night sky.
  123.
  124. "Who are you?" He said, his voice echoing with a building kind tone, one that dismantled all sort of overexcitement that he held just moments before. It was obvious that this was disruptive in a way, but the boy made whatever efforts to make himself look, at the very least, as friendly as the man who came to them.
  125. (Angelo Sanguinis)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [03:29] The boy looked at them both he seemed to be very intrigued with the whole conversation, and then his intrusion just made everything come to a halt, one that the boy didn't quite understand or get, but eh, he could find out by talking.
  129.
  130. "I believe the Ezmara people call me Ardyn, so you're entitled to do the same. I was walking around the caves looking for ores but didn't find anything. Then i saw you people talking and came over to talk. So... Hi!"
  131. (Ardyn)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133.
  134. [03:31] Nima Hatayer says, "Well.. I did love to stick here and chat."
  135. [03:31] Nima Hatayer says, "But I have a lot to think about, and I need to sleep."
  136. [03:32] Ardyn At the middle of the conversation the boy gave one of those high pitched sneezes because he was alergic to something, but didn't quite know what because it's hard to know what you're alergic to when in agartha, so Ardyn just gave a really loud sneeze that sounded something like "Desperate attempt to get qualified" but then again it could mean anything else
  137. (Ardyn)
  138. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  139.
  140. [03:32] Ardyn says, "Well... Ok."
  141. [03:32] Ardyn says, "It was nice talking to you people."
  142. [03:32] Nima Hatayer says, "We live by Ezmara as well, so."
  143. [03:33] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Well, same for me. Unfortunate, but we'll talk some other day, that's for sure!"
  144. [03:33] Nima Hatayer says, "We might see each other soon."
  145. [03:33] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Yes! Yes!"
  146. [03:33] Ardyn says, "True, true."
  147. [03:33] Nima Hatayer exclaims, "Have a good night!"
  148. [03:33] Angelo Sanguinis exclaims, "Have a good night, sir!"
  149. [03:33] Ardyn says, "Good night."
  150. [03:34] Angelo Sanguinis whispers: THAT WAS CLOSE.
