  1. 2 months ago, the Resistance mobilized a large army in order to combat a large raider threat originating from the California-Oregon border. Unlike previous years, these raiders operated under a unified banner, and called themselves "The Huns" after the notorious horsemen of antiquity. The Resistance forces involved in Operation Attila were in high morale, well-equipped with armored vehicles, air support, and bolstered a force of almost 500, of whom 75 were drawn from The Town. This force was overconfident in the months following the elimination of SkyNET from California. Initially, they were reporting vast gains against The Huns, reclaiming much lost territory. But then something happened.

  3. The force's command dropped out of contact on June 15th, somewhere in Muir National Forest, north of San Francisco, approximately 2 hours after reporting engaging the enemy.

  5. At the beginning of July, Sergeant Oliver Takaoka, on order from 5th Army Commander Colonel Masayuki Sakamoto, led a force of 10 (of the town's remaining 60) on a long-range reconnaissance patrol to determine what happened to this group. The mission was of a strictly reconnaissance nature operating under strict radio silence, and any combat with the enemy was forbidden. This group remained out of contact ever since.

  7. On August 9, the patrol returned, with 5 of its members killed in action. The group also led a ragtag force of 60 Resistance survivors and civilians of all ages hailing from San Francisco: Only 10 of the town's 75 that embarked with Operation Attila returned alive, thanks to their training. The day of their return was likely the most grisly those in town had ever seen: 75% of the entire caravan suffered from some sort of injury, ranging from severe lacerations to double amputations. The infirmary, typically home to those suffering from illnesses, was packed full of medics, aides and patients, and the floor frequently needed to be sprinkled with sand so people would not trip on the blood. Out of the 60 that arrived, 20 died of their injuries, or complications associated with them.
  8.
  9. The LRRP lost 5 out of ten men, all of whom perished in a last stand battle to provide an escape route for the San Francisco survivors. Ollie himself was only mildly injured but has experienced intense emotional trauma within the past 2 weeks.
