  1. Author's note: For the rest we return to Sam's P.O.V.
  2.
  3. The aftermath was uncomfortable.
  4.
  5. When my parents first saw me, they were understandably very freaked. They didn't know it was me at first, and thought I was some kind of monster. I explained what had happened to me the best I could, but that just made things worse. I think my mom nearly fainted.
  6.
  7. During the car ride home, which only happened after a while of freaking out from all of us, my parents gave me the cold shoulder, refusing to speak to me. I guessed that they were in shock, which was understandable, I was too. However, it did kinda annoy me. I may have turned into a bipedal dog thing but i'm still human on the inside!
  8.
  9. Since the ride home was in silence, I spent the time thinking about my strange transformation. It was definitely caused by the stone I found yesterday. But I still had a lot of questions. How did it transform me? What kind of stone can change people into a video game animal? Who put it there in the first place? Was there a way for me to change back? Would I be stuck like this? The questions kept me occupied.
  10.
  11. Once I got home, I was going to go up to my room. I needed some alone time. But before I did my parents stopped me.
  12.
  13. "Sam," my mom said, "I... just want to let you know that no matter what you are... you're... still our son".
  14.
  15. "Thanks, mom" I replied. I'm not sure how genuine the compliment was, given her hesitation, but I gave her a hug anyway, and then went up to my room.
  16.
  17. In my room, I just listened to music, trying to take my mind off of the situation. One thing I did notice though was that my new ears were very well-suited to music listening, as I could hear much more details in the sound then before.
  18.
  19. I also got a few messages from Tim on a chat server I created. The conversation went as so (though there was quite a few misspellings, curse these stupid paws):
  20.
  21. TimTheMan: How are you doing?
  22.
  23. ItsSamChandler: Not so good. This all feels like a weird dream.
  24.
  25. TimTheMan: Yeah. I mean, nobody's turned into a Pokemon before...I think. How are your parents taking it?
  26.
  27. ItsSamChandler: Poorly. They've ignored me ever since they first saw me as a Lucario.
  28.
  29. TimTheMan: I mean, that's not unusual. How would you feel if you found a family member had just turned into an animal that isn't even supposed to exist?
  30.
  31. ItsSamChandler: Eh, I see your point. I just wished they didn't act like I was invisible…
  32.
  33. TimTheMan: Hopefully, they'll come to terms with this soon. By the way, do you know anything about the stone that changed you?
  34.
  35. ItsSamChandler: It was blue, with black on it. I found it on my walk home from school.
  36.
  37. TimTheMan: That's interesting. Those are the same colors of a Lucario's fur. But i'm confused. I've never heard of a transformative stone before. I did a lot of research on the internet but haven't found anything about it yet. Have Pokemon always existed, sealed inside stones? Most importantly, How did it get there? Did it wind up there naturally, or did someone put it there?
  38.
  39. ItsSamChandler: I sorta hope someone did. Because if we found the person who put it there, he could have a way to change it back!
  40.
  41. TimTheMan: I agree. I do wonder, though. Who would want to change someone into a Pokemon?
  42.
  43. ItsSamChandler: There's some pretty weird people out there.
  44.
  45. TimTheMan: Very true. Anyway, I gotta go. TTYL.
  46.
  47. ItsSamChandler: Okay, bye.
  48.
  49. I hoped it would be that simple, that I could just find the person who transformed me and I could change back. What if the transformation was only one way? What if there wasn't a way to turn back? Even worse, what if there was a way, but the person would refuse to tell me how to change back? Or what if someone didn't even put it there and it fell from the sky, and I couldn't find a way to change back? I really, really didn't want to have to live the rest of my life like this.
  50.
  51. ...
  52.
  53. Dinner was awkward. My parents were still mostly silent throughout, though with my sharper teeth and more ravenous appetite I was able to complete it quickly. The only time they talked was near the end.
  54.
  55. "So...do you think you can go to school tomorrow as...well...whatever you are?"
  56.
  57. "I think I still can. I mean, I can still talk and all, and walk on two legs." But what I didn't tell them was that I was nervous about how other people would react. If my parents reacted the way they did, how would other kids at school, especially the more jerk-y ones? I didn't tell them this, however, because I didn't want them to be any more worried then they probably already were.
  58.
  59.
  60. The next few days weren't fun either. At school, kids would mock and bully me, calling me a "freak", or a "furry", and teasing the fact that I had become a canine ("Hey doggy, why aren't you on a leash?"). Whenever I sat down at a table, everyone would leave, saying that they didn't want to pick up my "disease". Any time I entered a room, everyone would be in shock, except for a couple of people who thought I looked really cool and poked and prodded at me.
  61.
  62. With my new paws, I was unable to write my work very well, and typing was not much better. The teachers weren't tremendously accomodating for my "condition" either, and as a result of all this I didn't do well on my next few tests.
  63.
  64. Through it all, however, Tim, and another friend of mine named Brad would still support me. They explained that a change of species doesn't mean that i'm any different or worse of a person. Tim would search around, trying to find if there was a culprit to my transformation.
  65.
  66. But as a whole, it wasn't a great time to be Sam Chandler.
  67.
  68.
  69. One day, however, everything changed.
  70.
  71. I got to school in the morning, and in the cafeteria I saw Tim waiting for me. He looked happy and eager to talk.
  72.
  73. "Sam, I have great news!" Tim replied, excitedly.
  74.
  75. "What is it?" I asked.
  76.
  77. "I found out who turned you into a Lucario!"
