what i am looking for is simple, anything to improve or fill in the gaps we have seen with the show. ideas, back stories, world building, even total rewrites of the episodes, these are all things i would love to see. anything that would fit into an episode, diary, web blog, stuff like that.

below are some prompts to help spark ideas, you are free to do with them as you wish or do something completely different. as you go about making stuff for this folder, please keep these guidelines in mind.

1) the show is meant for teens/young adults, so strong themes such as death or serious injury and the like are strongly discouraged. if you can pull off any of that but keep it PG then more power to ya, but in general if it isnt fit to be shown to a high schooler it prolly wont be used. dont let that stop you from submitting a piece that does deal with those themes though.

2) shipping and subtext is always encouraged. while the show is meant for the young ones, this shouldnt stop you from teasing one thing or another.

3) the use of OC's is a gray area, while i believe you should use only the characters given to us already, if you can make an OC that feels like it would fit in RWBY then go for it.

arc redo:
you have been given the opportunity to completely redo or replace an arc from volume one. it could be the introduction episodes, the forest trials, jaunse arc, finale, whatever you want. the Only restrictions being, whatever you choose to replace has to be replaced with something that takes equal or less amount of screen/episode time as the original. So that means no writing a tolkien epic and trying to fit it into a six minute episode.

vol1 finale pushback:
for some reason, episodes 15 and 16 need to be delayed untill vol2. your objective is to write something to fill screen time, preferably something "finale-sh". make sure to include the following: tension, fight scene, something that contributes to character development or the overarching plot or both. remember, the plot is simply delayed, which means you cant write out or use anything that happens in 15/16

backgrounds:
pick a character, a thing, a concept, what have you, that is lacking in vol1 and build it up to acceptable standards while still have it fit within the rwby setting. these entries could be used as something other than episodes as well, the ideas could be webcomics/blogs/production diaries/socialmedia stuff, so feel free to go long and in depth.

one thing to another:
this is a grab bag prompt, more a set of ideas then actual directions. ideas for this open one could be used for anything.
~take the item closest to you and turn it into a rwby concept(weapon, idea, story, ect)
~the last vidya character your played as is thrown into the rwby world, how fucked are they
~the mc of the last anime you watched is thrown into the rwby world, whats different
~make a rwby parody of a song
~make a rwby videogame
