PERSONALITY | Sooyoung is a very motherly figure. Everyone and everything has to be taken care of. She hates seeing others upset and tries her hardest to help them, but ends up trying to even out the tear marks on their faces. She's honestly quite awkward but does her best. Like some mothers, she's a clean freak. The slightest wrinkle in a bed sheet is enough to drive her up the wall. She tends to be really uptight and tense because of how much is on her shoulders. She sounds really put together, but is completely frazzled. All the things that float around in her head drive her slightly insane and she always looks like a mess. Despite her hyperactive mind, she works hard (maybe too hard) to get what she wants.

BACKSTORY | Sooyoung's family owns a library and a bookstore. She's been working their since she was young. She was the one who organized the books and made sure nothing was out of place. Her grandparents were super uptight and always compared her to her older siblings. She was always subpar. She tried doing everything to impress them. Being 2nd ranked in her grade, taking high school credit classes in middle school, winning spelling bees, her teachers and peers thought she was phenomenal. But it was never enough for her grandparents, but her closest friend was always proud of her. He was something that she could lean on in difficult times. Eventually she gave up on trying to impress her grandparents, but was stuck in her old ways of overachieving and throwing self care out of the window. She'd stay up making edits to assignments that didn't need to be changed, skip meals to get more work done, and fall asleep in class. She snapped at family a lot because of how crabby the workload made her. She was always stressed and her family had no clue what to do about it. But her best friend did. He took her out of her work space and forced her to relax. They were always close but that made them closer.
