  1. Context: Gurashi made a promise to Mysrai's high priest and their bestest friend, Aschwar, that while the two of Them were traveling they would keep their villa clean! And so Gurashi makes good on this promise! AND NOW THEY HAVE TULLY'S BROOM SO IT CAN BE REAL SHINY. Slice of life, ho!
  2.

  4.
  5. Calioliahali follows you in.
  6. Within a comforting, rosy solarium.
  7. You see exits leading north, northeast, northwest, and out.
  8.
  9. You have emoted: Gurashi slowly lifts their head, gazing about the villa with wide eyes, their grip tightening on Tully's Golden Broom as they collect themselves. "Alright, my dearest." With this, they reach into their pack and produce a cloth, holding it out to her. "I will do the grounds if you do the surfaces? Do you mind? It won't be long if we do it to-gether...!"
  10.
  11. A shifting, living poppy of ruby petals begins to vibrate silently before its petals suddenly fold inwards. Just as suddenly the petals begin to unfurl again this time being the colour of brilliant saffron.
  12.
  13. Calioliahali surveys the area with familiarity, black lips curving faintly, and then she watches as her spouse retrieves the cloth and passes it her way, to which she gratefully accepts, clutching it close. "Ah... That sounds most agreeable, certainly, my apotheosis." She bends to kiss the top of the merian's head, and then begins searching out aforementioned dusty surfaces, eradicating them with her cloth.
  14.
  15. You have emoted: Gurashi flashes Calioliahali a sharp-toothed smile, then begins to dance about the room going from corner to corner with Tully's Golden Broom in hand. A rumbling upbeat tune spills out from their lips, accompanying the duo's cleaning as they work.
  16.
  17. Taking the golden broom by its handle, you carefully sweep the room of imperfection and a golden glow emanates from the ground.
  18.
  19. Within a comforting, rosy solarium.
  20. An enormous, rectangular space, this solarium is spacious while still managing to offer a comforting sense of home with a number of beige-cushioned mahogany divans in a variety of sizes arranged strategically throughout the airy room. Columns hewn from honey-coloured wood line the area on all sides, their surfaces painted with freehand brushstroke visuals loosely depicting sky-blue cranes, seafoam dragons, black jackals and other mystical creatures amongst orange bamboo and palm fronds. In the centre of the solarium is a wide, golden basin filled with red sand, a number of standing kyphi sticks filling the air with serene aromas as the incense smokes peacefully within its vessel. Above, the ceiling is formed of nothing but pieces of stained glass assembled in complex geometric patterns which combine and divide to form shapes reminiscent of the natural world - fragments of bright blue, soft yellows and pale oranges intersperse throughout a predominance of rosy pinks, their forms melding into patterns eliciting images of flowers, eddies of sand and suns. There is something about the designs which conjures sensations of peace, amicability, comfort and safety, delicately colouring the light passing through the segments of glass. **The area, spotless, glows with a soft golden light.** A slender leothin sits here motionless, brightening its surroundings with its natural golden bio-luminescence. Calioliahali Skydrifter looms here, lingering with an unsettling aura of strict severity. She wields a severe steel arming sword in her left hand and a severe steel shortsword in her right hand.
  21. You see exits leading north, northeast, northwest, and out.
  22.
  23. <-- off to do the other rooms
  24.
  25. Dancing by the taller trill as they work, you exclaim to Calioliahali, "Ah! Not a dust bunny in sight!"
  26.
  27. Calioliahali pauses as she knocks the last of the dust within her reach free, gazing down at your immaculate work with your new broom, and she nods her head several times in approval. "Yes, ah... That is certainly a most magnificent implement."
  28.
  29. Soft fur brushes against your ankles, leaving a strange warmth in your skin. When you glance down, you glimpse the fading remnants of feline footsteps in the dust.
  30.
  31. With a gasp, you say, "Vrima! Silly girl, I just swept that!"
  32.
  33. Taking the golden broom by its handle, you carefully sweep the room of imperfection and a golden glow emanates from the ground.
  34.
  35. You grin mischievously at Calioliahali.
  36.
  37. A giggle rippling up her throat, Calioliahali Skydrifter says, "How wondrous, ah... Fortuitous."
  38.
  39. Happily, you say to Calioliahali, "I meant you, though! You are the best at reaching all the high places! And tall surfaces!" They scamper by the trill, hopping up into the air to peck her on the cheek before scrambling forward. "C'mon, is just a few more rooms to do!""
  40.
  41. Taking the golden broom by its handle, you carefully sweep the room of imperfection and a golden glow emanates from the ground.
  42.
  43. Singing, you say, "Sweep, sweep, sweeping my broom, cleaning our ways through e-ver-y roooom~!"
  44.
  45. Calioliahali's cheeks fill with color as the compliments paid her are sealed with a kiss, and she dutifully follows along after you with an adoring look upon her face, continuing to dust wherever she can while her feathery ears twitch and swivel attentively, listening appreciatively to your cheerful tune.
  46.
  47. <-- more movement, more rooms!
  48.
  49. Strange poppies within a verdant atrium.
  50. Myriad stone planters, raised rock-wall gardens and hanging pots overflow with a variety of flora within this revivifying atrium, the vibrant petals of peonies, orchids, azaleas and chrysanthemums providing magnificent drops of colour amongst the greenery. Areca palms spread their narrow-leaved fronds from tall standing pots, shading the various benches and asymmetrical travertine paths that wind through the arrays of plantlife while glassless windows overlooking the villa's environs offer a view of the flower-bedecked trees, pools and towering statues relieving the desert sands that span as far as the eye can see. Before these windows splash fresh waters within an ornate limestone fountain, chaotic carvings decorating its surface while gold leaf spirals around them. Surrounding this fountain are raised tiers lined with a collection of wide-mouthed, soil-filled vases, each nestling its own assortment of curious poppies: among the traditional red, white, yellow and pink blooms are others shaded different hues of the rainbow, some even being composed of entirely different materials altogether. Iridescent chitin, cotton-like fibre, translucent crystal and even a few feathery species gather in clusters, their lofty position suggesting that they are undoubtedly the muse of the garden's caretaker. The centre of the atrium is dominated by a robust spiral staircase of gilded gold railings and cream-hued stone that circles up towards the higher floors of the villa, the structure well-supported upon reinforced pillars.
  51. You see exits leading southeast, south, southwest, and up.
  52.
  53. You have emoted: Gurashi pauses as they reach the atrium, catching their breath and looking back at Calioliahali with a goofy grin. "This ways and that, to and fro, to every rooms we clean and go," They spin, holding their broom as if it were a dance partner, dramatically throwing their arm up into the air before laughing and setting the tool aside so they may water the poppies accordingly. As they finish, they grab the broom again and lift it, holding it as if it were a lute and playing an imaginary tune upon the center. "With my wifey at my side, those dusty bunnies will run and hide!"
  54.
  55. You fan your fins out leisurely and look at Calioliahali, your scales gleaming with a radiant, healthy shine as you consider her.
  56.
  57. Birdlike laughter inevitably fills the the area as the two dance through its expanse, Calioliahali occasionally adding her voice in a soft hum to accompany your singing. She pauses several times inbetween her own dusting duties to steal glances of the merian, her own expression bright, headfeathers ruffled pleasantly.
  58.
  59. You have emoted: Gurashi eventually dances their way over to Calioliahali, and as the pair move their way towards the living room the merian loops an arm around her waist, spinning the trill in a circle as they sing. "Oh, dusty bunnies! Away with you! For my wifey's cleaning is tried and true!"
  60.
  61. With a watery, seraphic cadence, you sing, "And my brooms will leaves no rooms for you!" They finish their spin and brandish their broom aloft, pointing it at a single strand of cobweb hanging in the corner. "Fwah!"
  62.
  63. Taking the golden broom by its handle, you carefully sweep the room of imperfection and a golden glow emanates from the ground.
  64.
  65. Calioliahali's full attention returns to you as your arm encloses her waist and spins her round, her steel blue gaze pulsing a few times as she listens to yet more of your song. She laughs again as you challenge and summarily vanquish the nearby cobweb, and indeed every cobweb within the immediate area, her free calloused hand coming to rest upon your shoulder and squeeze firmly. "In no arena are you more fearsome, my apotheosis," she says softly, sincerity, pride, and adoration lacing her voice.
  66.
  67. You throw back your head as you let loose a delighted laugh.
  68.
  69. With a watery, seraphic cadence, you say to Calioliahali, "Nyehehe! The most fearsome! Not a specks--" They pause as they say this, using the broom to wipe free a spot of imperfection on the floor --"not a specks of dirty left be-hind!"
  70.
  71. You grin mischievously at Calioliahali.
  72.
  73. With a watery, seraphic cadence, you say to Calioliahali, "This is much faster with two peoples!"
  74.
  75. Black lips curving yet more as she offers a sharp nod, Calioliahali Skydrifter says to you, "There is nothing that we cannot accomplish together, I think. Even more so when we are so well-armed."
  76.
  77. <-- off to the final room! the most bittersweet room!
  78.
  79. Calioliahali follows you up.
  80. A perfectly peaceful bedroom.
  81. A far, meeker cry from the rest of the house, only the rich paneling of the walls and floors could hint at any opulence within this domed room. A simple reed mat covers the majority of the floor, cut awkwardly to accommodate the hatch leading to the stairs and the rest of the house, the woven plants lined with rabbit moss that cushions the foot and is pleasant to the touch. Enormous pillows and cushions have been piled along the rest of the floor in a large circle that rings the room, thrown this way and that in an effort to create the most cozy place to sleep. Very few personal belongings can be seen in the shelves on the walls; an enormous scarf and apron folded and wrapped around three carved birds and a seashell-adorned sunhat, sat next to two books whose titles proclaim them to be 'A Manual to Counting: Numbers One Through Ten' and 'How to Read'. The domed roof above lacks the stained glass prominent throughout the rest of the building, its simple stone make readily distributing the heat absorbed through the day and causing the painted stars upon its surface to shimmer and shine with a realistic glow. Its cheerful cover drawing the eye, a lumpy, misshapen pillow lies here.
  82. You see a single exit leading down.
  83.
  84. You have emoted: Gurashi slows as they ascend the stairwell, frilled ears bouncing, some of their enthusiasm fading and replaced with something more somber and respectful. They nod once, then look back at Calioliahali, canting their head to the side.
  85.
  86. Calioliahali too grows quieter as she arrives within the vicinity of the bedroom, her gaze sweeping the room once before settling upon her spouse at her side, her hand upon your shoulder squeezing once more, reassuringly.
  87.
  88. You have emoted: Gurashi drifts over to Calioliahali, placing a chaste kiss upon the trill's hand as it finds their shoulder before they set about their work, expression serious, cheeks puffed.
  89.
  90. You have emoted: As Gurashi completes their sweeping task, their frilled ears droop slightly, and they linger at the edge of the pile of pillows, resting the broom against the wall. The merian then takes the time to bring each one over to the window and give it a goof fluffing, sending any dust out into the streets. As they finally come upon the last one, they lift a particularly ragged pillow, fluffing it outside, then pull it to their chest, squeezing it tightly while they survey the street below.
  91.
  92. You give a particularly ragged pillow a friendly squeeze.
  93.
  94. Following your lead, Calioliahali carefully moves about the room to dust as she had been, seeming more scrutinous than previously. Eventually, she pauses and lingers nearby you, watching you reverently tend to the pillow and its surrounds.
  95.
  96. You have emoted: Gurashi finally places a particularly ragged pillow back upon the pile, patting it twice and recollecting their broom, jogging over to join Calioliahali, their scales flushing. "We are done!" They sing finally, peering up at her, leaning heavily against their cleaning implement. "Thank you, for all of your helps. With talkies, and cleaning..."
  97.
  98. With a watery, seraphic cadence, you say to Calioliahali, "I loves you, wifey - I appreciates you lots."
  99.
  100. When the merian rejoins her at her side, Calioliahali bends to press her lips to the top of your head, her arm squeezing affectionately around your shoulders. "Of course, my apotheosis," she says softly, her electric gaze roaming your scaled face as she withdraws. "It is always a pleasure to assist you, even in the smallest of ways." She releases a soft, content sigh. "I love you as well, Gurashi, and, ah... I am very proud of you, for all that you have done. And I know that, ah... They are as well, wherever They are."
  101.
  102. You have emoted: Gurashi peers up at Calioliahali, heaving a great sigh as the top of their head is kissed. "Mmm, I do not thinks is anything to be proud of ... but am glad you thinks that muchly, of me." They chew on their lower lip, peering back out towards the window with a scrunched expression. "I do dearly hope so."
