Vangers: One for the Road(The end game)

   At the end of the 20th century humanity discovers the secret to instantaneous travel between worlds. A form of portal known as Spirals. Many spiral stations are set up on a chain of worlds on the other end of the galaxy. Heedless of consequence humanity trusts forth and begins colonization of these worlds, stripping them of resources. Unknown to them at the time an alien race known as the Cryspo inhabits these worlds in massive underground cities, escaves. The Cryspo declare war and attack the human colonists, nonetheless humanity is quick to retaliate. We launch a full scale counter attack, confident in our ability to win. The Cryspo are a perfect hive mind, each of their soldiers possessing the knowledge of their entire army. Our forces are crushed and the remaining colonists retreat to massive underground escaves becoming the losties. As they seal themselves off humanity commits a full scale atomic holocaust, destroying the Cryspo civilization and the colonists. The Spiral back to earth is shut down and travel to the chain is prohibited.

   The remaining Cryspo and humans begin to rebuild. Desperately the Cryspo try to restore their hive mind, instead they create the bullion of spawn. This causes another cataclysm as the Lostie colonists are drawn out and mass genetic mutation occurs. No longer is there distinction between Cryspo and human, the creatures that now inhabit the chain are created. They inherit a specific form of telepathy from the Cryspo, capable of perfectly understanding intent of any spoken words. This is the reason for their language degenerating to such a point, they need only grunt and moan to communicate. Words no longer hold any meaning, this is why the Eleepods and Beeboorats were capable of understanding the softie completely.

  With the appearance of a human on the chain the denizens of Necross see hope. They found the abandoned Lostie escaves and what they believe are instructions to turn on the Spiral to earth. The inhabitants of the chain are illiterate, since they require no words to communicate the art of written language has been lost to them. They cannot read ancient Lostie writing but the softie can. The Beeboorats do not wish to open the ancient lostie spiral, they believe that it shall allow hell into their world. Such is the hostility between the Zeexen of Necross and the Beeboorats.

  What they do not know is that the Spiral requires pure human DNA to be Opened. The other problem is that the softie originates from modern day Earth so using his DNA would open a passage to an Earth of that time period. If the Passage is opened modern day humanity would flock to the chain, if communication turns out to be impossible then war will break out. Humans would wipe the chain clean with ease, the Eleepods, Beeboorats, and Zeexen stand no chance. We would gain access to the knowledge of the lostie colonies and we would be thrust into a golden age of technology. If humanity manages communication then modernization and integration of the chain would begin, the species that inhabit it would be spared. Only the last softie can restore the chain and there are forces at work to both prevent and help achieve that goal.
