  1. The Mountain (GOT) Reveals His New Insane Diet Plan

  3. We all know Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as 'The Mountain' or even as Gregor Clegane, as he plays a character on a famous series called 'The Game Of Thrones'. He is well-known for his brutal strength, size and he even gained his reputation for his cruelty. For example, when he was just a kid, Gregor Clegane was shown shoving his friend's face into a brazier because he used his toy.
  4. However, while we all respect him as The Mountain, how much do you really know about Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson? He was born on November 26, 1988, and he is the professional strongman from Iceland. In addition to that, he is also a great actor and he previously played basketball. His basketball career started in 2004, when he played for Division I club Breiðablik, and the next year he joined the FSu Selfoss.
  5. After 10 interesting games of basketball, he discovered that he actually had a broken bone in his ankle and that he will need to undergo surgery. After moving to Úrvalsdeild, the screw in his ankle shattered, this required him to have another surgery; missing the 2006-2007 seasons.

On the other hand, his strongman career started in 2008, when Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson met an Icelandic strongman named Magnús Ver Magnússon, who told him that he has a good build to become a strongman. After that, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson won a number of contests in Iceland in 2010, some of which include the Westfjords Viking, Iceland's Strongest Viking, Strongest Man in Iceland...

After many competitions, he won and lost some of them, but one thing that really stood out is that on 31 January 2015, he was able to beat a 1000-year-old record at the Norway's World's Strongest Viking competition that was set by Orm Storolfsson, where he had to carry a 650kg, 10-metre-long log for five steps.
  8. There have been a lot of people who were requesting that he shares his diet plans, so Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson decided to share everything on his Facebook and Instagram account. In the diet plan, you can clearly see how hardworking and determined he is, as he starts at 6:50 in the morning with a workout, after which he eats Bcca, Glutamine + handful of almonds. After that, you can see him have 8 eggs and 200gr Oats + berries, strawberries and avocado at 7:30. Just two hours later he will eat 400gr Beef and Sweet potatoes with some spinach and greens.
  9. At 11:50, Björnsson will have some Bcca and glutamine, while at 12:00 you can see him eat 400gr Chicken + 400gr potatoes and some greens. At 14:00, he will make a rather strong shake with oats, potatoes, bananas and other fruits. After that, he trains and has a bit of Bcca, glutamine, and Vitargo, followed by a small break after which he will eat bananas and protein. At 18:00, you will see him eat beef and potatoes again, followed by the salmon and potatoes at 20:30, just to finish his day at 22:30 with protein, eggs, avocado, almonds and peanut butter.
