  1. the RNG is the two bytes at 0x16E092
  2. It ticks crazily during nitros fights and any time you're in the water levels
  3. might be able to do some grinding on the bagular tvs to see if any one spot is probablisitically better
  4. but manip is no go
  5. you lose any trackability in the first 1-2 levels of every world
  6. and you have to reset the game to reset it
  7. it just so happens that neither endol nor baruda tick the RNG at all
  8. endol's patten is orb, orb, orb, electrocute, repeat
  9. baruda is dive, dive, dive, laser, dive, dive, laser, dive, dive, laser, repeat cycles of 2 dive laser
  10.
  11. If you play through the fights at a fast pace, and hold A through the end of the bolban fight (don't stop moving), Bagular's front right TV is about 8% more likely and the back right is about 8% less likely in the resulting RNG range
  12. endol, baruda, and cronus explosions all advance the RNG 104 frames
  13. cronus consumes a few RNGs in the fight
  14. nitros ticks the RNG somewhat randomly
  15. bolban ticks it the entire time you're moving the submarine
  16. natia and bagular only when they drop/warp
  17. if you wanted to you could reset the game before bagular and count his warp RNGs and you'd have perfect knowledge on the TVs
  18. it takes about 11 seconds to reset there
  19. ideally you probably only lose about 1-2 seconds on average per TV roll, so the reset isn't gonna be worth it
  20. A phase 1 rewarp is only around 0.75 seconds
  21.
  22. Bagular's teleport pattern is very very very slightly tilted towards the front right corner. It's basically statistically insignificant.
  23. He's also a bit more likely to land in the center as opposed to anywhere else, but it's also statistically insignificant
  24. He will land randomly at any (essentially) any pixel in an 800x800 pixel square in the middle of the map
  25. in this sense, the best places to stand to be far away from him are actually the 8 corners of the pseudo-octagon
  26. you have to be around 350 px away from him for him to not re-teleport
  27. the distance from the 8 corners to his box is around 250 pixels
  28. so if you get pretty well in the corner, it will actually be pretty rare for him to re-teleport
  29. around 1% of the time he'd re-teleport probably
  30. actually any point along the edge is "pretty good" tbh
  31. you could make the argument that you want to stay more centered on the edge to be able to hit sooner
  32.
  33. Also at the beginning of the fight, jump over him and drop a bomb so he dashes at the opposite side of the level.
