- Scavenger Hunt for The AngryLarry Festivus Marathon
- ===================================================
- DISCLAIMER: The story is silly and the item hunt might not be for everyone. It is experimental but something I will want to do during my marathon. All are welcome to join me. If someone does not know one of the games please reach out to me, or speak up in the #randomizers channel in my discord and we will get you up to speed.
- ===================================================
- It's a Treasure Hunt for the rest of us! Join me on a journey to celebrate our heritage with the Festivus Miracle Treasure Hunt!
- Our journey starts out in the land of Hyrule (Z1R). Your friend Tim Whatley recently converted to be Jewish for the purpose of making jokes. He invited you to his party and now you feel obligated to pick up a holiday gift for him. You think a menorah (Red Candle) would make a perfect gift for someone who has recently converted.
- Holiday shopping makes you hungry. You need to go home to pick up your Atomic Sub Punch Card (The Letter). It has 11 punches on it. One more sub and you will get one free!
- Remaining in Hyrule, you have to give your fake phone number to Denim Vest (Buy Blue Ring). He dresses like it is the 80's and his buttons are actually snaps.
- But wait... You wrote your number on the back of your Atomic Sub card and you need to get it back (items can be picked up in any order)! Your fake number is actually the number of the local OTB (Money Making Game). Find one, give the creepy guys there another fake number, and then place a sawbuck on Captain Nemo in the 3rd at Belmont (Win MMG).
- Now you created a phone chain. The fake number you gave the guys at the OTB was the number for H&H Bagel. Good news though, the strike is over! Head on over to H&H, grab a croissant (Power Bracelet), since the bagels are day olds and even the homeless won't touch them, and wait for Denim Vest to call.
- Your last task in Hyrule is to find a charity to throw money at. Your business is failing and your accountants think this will help. The Human Fund (Door Repair Charge) sounds just the same as any other charity. Make a donation to them and then make your way to the kingdom of Alefgard (DWR).
- Once in Alefgard you will need to find a date. Head on over to the Coffee Shop (Swamp Cave), I heard there is a pretty girl there. Oh, one problem. She is a two-face. She only looks good in the back booth. Go there and see if Paco dropped a rubber band in her soup again (Rescue the Princess in Swamp Cave).
- After your date is over, it is time to pick out your Festivus Pole. The holiday has become so trendy that poles have actually sold out. You know one guy who has one though. He finds tinsel distracting. Locate some tinsel (Silver Harp) and then distract this guy with it to get your pole (Staff of Rain).
- Now that the pole is in place, and not decorated, it is time for the Airing of Grievances. Seek out the Old Man and listen to all the ways you have disappointed him this year (Get yelled at by "The Jerk", or Get Rainbow Drop if somehow you found all the items).
- It is time to head back to Hyrule again (Z2R). Did you pick up a candle to give as a gift? If not make sure you pick one up before the holiday is over!
- Festivus began when someone was raining blows upon another man after they both reached for the last doll while holiday shopping. Listen to the story for the 20th time, then pick up a doll for yourself (The Kid).
- Finally, as per tradition, Festivus cannot end until The Feats of Strength are performed, and someone (Gooma) is pinned. The sooner you do that, the sooner the holiday can conclude.
- Happy Festivus!

- -Items and tasks can be done in any order, and do not have to follow the silly back story of the event.
- -Games are to be played in order just in case people watching want to get chatty and potentially ruin someone's fun.
- -You don't need to get the candle in both Z1R and Z2R. If you pick up the candle in Z1R it must be the Red Candle.
- -Letter does not need to be turned in.
- -Blue ring must be purchased, finding the red ring does not count.
- -You need to win a round of MMG, doesn't have to be top prize.
- -You do not need to lose money for the "Door Repair" task to count. Finding it is enough.
- -You must talk to "The Jerk" in DWR to complete that task. Getting the Rainbow Drop from him is just as good as getting yelled at. If this is your last task in that game, you can split/switch games on selecting talk.
- -You just need to get The Princess, not deliver her. If this is your last task you can quit out of the game as soon as you hear the happy music when you save her.
- -90 second in between games.
- -If the candle is the last item you need, you may go back to Z1R, if you think finding it in Z2R will be harder or take longer. Consider saving when you are exiting Z1R. For the sake of this hunt you can resume from your last saved file, or start over, if you want to switch to Z1R.
- -Of course going back to another game with advanced knowledge of where an item is will be frowned upon.
