  3. A young man named Miguel did graduate college in Arcadia Bay, Oregon, and had a dream of being a police officer. Ever since he was a young boy, he wanted to help the world by taking authority. So, he thought that being a police officer would be a good job for him. He did take classes, including Criminal Justice to gain all the knowledge he needed in order to accomplish this dream.
  4.
  5. So, he woke up one Saturday morning in his apartment, all fresh and early for his interview with the commissioner of police department. He thought and hoped that this interview would go well. While having his breakfast, he read the newspaper and read an article about a school girl named Rachel Amber being a missing person for a long time now. He did feel plenty of concern for the parents of the child and hopes that she would be home safely with her family.
  6.
  7. After his breakfast, he put on a suit and had his notes in front of him so, he'll know on what to say during the interview. Although he was nervous, he knew that the only position they will give him is being in training so, he would be able to watch over officers, but, this was gonna to be better than nothing. He walked into the main office a round ten am' and waited for his turn to answer some questions from the main head officer.
  8.
  9. "Miguel De' Silva?" Miguel heard his name being called by Lieutenant Rossi and although he was nervous, he knew that the interview would do well. "Yes, that would be me." Miguel replied, as he as walking into the room. The man sat in one chair and Miguel sat across from him, taking a deep breath. "Good morning, Mr. De' Silva. I see that you are here for an interview to become part of the police force." Miguel looked up at him and nodded, with a determined look on his face. "Yes, I am." Miguel responded.
  10.
  11. The lieutenant looked up at Miguel with a serious look as be was ready to ask the questions.
  12.
  13. "Why do you want to work in this industry?"
  14.
  15. This was the first question that he asked and Miguel had to think hard to answer that question like this. "I have always admired those who put their lives on the line to protect the community. My internet really increased in law enforcement when I witnessed a bank robbery and watched the officers taking care of the situation." Miguel answered calmly.
  16.
  17. "Tell us about yourself."
  18.
  19. This was a question that Miguel was excited to answer, but, he had to take the answer very seriously.
  20.
  21. "Well, I graduated at the "University of Oregon" with a degree in law enforcement and Criminal Justice. I volunteered at many centers, including the Arcadia Bay Hospital. Then, I am a team player and good listener." Miguel looked up the man who was nodding his head in a pleasing matter.
  22.
  23. "Where do you see yourself in five years?"
  24.
  25. Another question that Miguel had to think about before answering. "Well, in five years, I'd like to have an better understanding on what it's like to have a tough job like this one. I do see myself as a person taking the risk to save lives. Although this job will be risky, I know that in five years from now. I see myself being in this position."
  26.
  27. The interview did last for over an hour and Miguel did feel confident in getting this job, although he will be in training. "Thank you for your time, Miguel." The lieutenant said, while shaking his hand. "You are very welcome." Miguel replied, as he stepped out of the office. As he got home, he went back to reading the paper and it was again, the same article about Rachel's disappearance.
  28.
  29. A couple of months later, Miguel did get s letter from the Arcadia Bay police department saying that he was accepted as an officer in training. He knew that there was going to classes involved including internships, and the more knowledge he would gain, the better chance that he'll have to accomplish his dream on becoming a permanent police officer.
