➸ Background:

Hazel was a bit of a troublemaker when she was still a kid. Back at the age of 2, Hazel always gets in trouble for making things hard and messes things up. She was fearless and doesn’t care about getting scolded. Her parents said that they would move back to Seoul if she won’t behave but Hailey loved Seoul so she didn’t. Her family relocated to Seoul at the age of 10 due to her behavior. She went to South Korea with her family but she was left with her aunt while her family went back to San Francisco. In 2012 (she was 13 by then), she was scouted by a staff from SM while she was walking on the streets of Gangnam because she was going to visit the cafe of her aunt. She auditioned with her own choreography for the song Light It Up as a dancer and rapper. She trained as a Dancer and Rapper but was told by her trainer that her voice fits Singing more. She started focusing on vocal and Dance became a sub skill but rapping stayed as a talent for her but she doesn’t do it frequently. While she was a trainee, she always missed being with her family so her family moved to Seoul upon her request to live with them. Her family moved to Seoul and decided to stay permanently. It was also hard for her to train as a trainee for Vocal, Dance and Rap. She always gets easily exhausted but doesn’t shows it and still works hard. While she was a trainee, a lot of trainees talked behind her back since she was friends mostly with boys than girls. She brushed it off and continued being herself.

Hazel can also be pertained as the ‘brain of the group’ due to her unique and creative ideas. Even if it’s a crazy thing to do, she would just go on and do it. She is really someone you would like to be with when you’re having fun.  Despite her thoughtful side, Hazel could be a sassy and realistic girl especially when she thinks what people say doesn’t have any sense. She could burn people up with her words just to make them realize something but it also gives conflicts sometimes. Hazel was also known by her co-trainees to be a perfectionist especially when it comes to their practices. Hazel won’t let any mistake slide and goes up from everything to every single detail. She likes everything perfect until the very last minute of their performance. ‘The fearless girl would be the one to fear’ as she says but her personality can also lead to conflicts especially when there are people older than her. She is really someone you would need when you want your performance to be precisely perfect. However, this girl also has her dark side in her. She isn’t someone to trust especially if you want her to choose specifically. Her mind could change from one choice to another because she would think that her decision wasn’t precise enough. Just make sure to leave her blank at your list of people to help you choosing. This girl could also offend people by not interested in the topic. She turns into someone Apathetic when she finds a topic lame or uninteresting so people should be very careful when they open up a topic because her sassiness might kill you. Hazel is someone that would forget friendship when it comes to choosing someone to eliminate.    ° She used to have dancing as her main skill and rap as her sub skill but started focusing on singing when the trainer told her that she fits as a singer so her current main skill is Vocal while her sub skill is Dance
   ° She still wanted to pursue her talent for dancing and wanted to improve it so she went to 1Million Dance Studio and learned more dancing styles.
   ° When she started singing, she also learned how to play the guitar when she was 14.
   ° She had a youtube channel and she posted her song covers for Beyonce’s Love On Top, Mariah Carey’s Emotions, Cher Lloyd’s Want U Back and Ariana Grande’s Baby I when she was 16 but deleted it.
   ° A staff from YG scouted her when she was a trainee but disagreed and stayed in SM
   ° She still keeps rapping as a talent but doesn’t do it oftenly anymore
   ° She can sing 6 octaves high which most opera singers can’t do
