CAVE OF SPIDERS PART 2-1 (MarkDonArthur)

<Flipside>: "Would you like to see the food courts?" the Queen asked Mark.
Wrong_Way has no idea how long he's been down in the caverns but he feels some hunger
<Wrong_Way>: "Sure?"
<Flipside>: The Queen seems rather happy to hear it, making her way into the food court.
<Flipside>: It's only now that Mark can really see how large the Queen is in comparison, the other spiders around his height or slightly less still cowering at her.
<Wrong_Way>: "Do uh, other spiders usually grow as tall as you?"
<Flipside>: "Only members of the Royal Guard reach close to my height. Members of the Worker caste are around human size."
<Wrong_Way>: "Cool."
<Flipside>: "So, what does your palate tend to? We serve a wide variety, accommodating for various guests too."
<Wrong_Way>: "Do you have hamburgers?"
<Flipside>: "Ham... burger?"
<Flipside>: The Queen cocks her head, looking confusing. Her pincers clatter, and she seems to communicate with the stout spider-chef at the serving area.
<Flipside>: "We can replicate such a food if you so wish."
<Wrong_Way>: "I guess so if it wouldn't be too much trouble..."
Wrong_Way wishes he said something more reasonable like hot dogs or pizza.
<Flipside>: "Right then!" the Queen cries out enthusiastically, sitting Mark down at a table. "Ingredients please!"
Wrong_Way realizes he doesn't know what's really in hamburgers
<Wrong_Way>: "uh...well...You need...ground beef?"
<Flipside>: The Queen nods, pincers clicking repeatedly. From the corner of his eye Mark can see the spider-chef running around hurriedly.
<Flipside>: He can also see that if the Queen was capable of physically smiling, she could.
<Flipside>: The chef-spider runs around the serving area, suddenly placing something... someone, on the table.
<Flipside>: "Something like this?" the Queen asks.
Donnie is placed on the table
<Donnie>: "Hey, Mark!"
<Wrong_Way>: "W-what? Donnie what are you doing here?"
<Donnie>: "I dunno."
<Flipside>: "Oh, we found him wandering the caverns. We assume he got here purely by accident. A friend of yours?"
<Donnie>: "Is everybody here a spider?"
<Wrong_Way>: "Yeah, Donnie's a friend."
<Flipside>: The spider-chef grumbles about "said friend nearly drinking their supply", returning to his workstation after a glare from the Queen.
<Wrong_Way>: "But yeah, ground beef isn't from humans..."
<Donnie>: "I was in the forest and I got lost and then I found a kitchen so I tried to get a snack but then they said I wasn't allowed to and I was kinda scared because they were spiders but it's okay because they're friendsly!"
<Donnie>: : D
<Flipside>: The Queen gives Donnie an affectionate pat on the head.
Donnie hops off the platter he's on and looks up at the Queen curiously
<Donnie>: "Why are you so big?"
<Flipside>: "Oh, because I'm the Queen of course. It's to show I'm in charge."
<Donnie>: "Ooooooooh. I've never seen a spider queen before!"
<Flipside>: "Well, here you are. Is there anywhere else in the caverns you would like to see?"
<Donnie>: "Do spiders have wizards?"
<Flipside>: "Well, we have scholars. And a library."
<Donnie>: "I don't think I can read spider..."
<Flipside>: "Oh, these books are obtained from humans. They trade them for our silk and venoms and antivenoms."
<Donnie>: "Oh, cool! But I think I could find them anyways. My mom is a librarian!"
<Flipside>: "A lib... rari... an?"
<Donnie>: "Yeah! Her job is to- like, uh... She runs the library, and helps people find the books they're looking for, and sorts them and stuff!"
<Flipside>: "Oh, like a Book Master?"
<Donnie>: "I've never heard of that before, but probably!"
<Flipside>: "The Book Master maintains and run the library. Now you two, hop onto my back, it's off to the library!"

Wrong_Way promises himself to get some turtleburger after this and gets on the spider's back
Donnie hops onto the queen's back
<Flipside>: The Queen takes off down a tunnel, numerous smaller spiders moving out of her way as she rushed down it.
<Flipside>: Long, luminous vines trail down the sides of the tunnel, providing some light.
<Wrong_Way>: "How long does it take to make these tunnels?"
<Flipside>: "A tunnel of this size? Around a week or so. We have many, many Workers on hand expanding our network."
<Donnie>: "Aaaaawesoooome."
<Wrong_Way>: "Cool."
<Wrong_Way>: "How do those vines work?" he says, pointing at the vines along the side of the tunnel
<Flipside>: "They are a natural discovery of ours. Workers found these vines during digs, and they seem to produce this light in response to sounds. So, they light up as you walk." the Queen explains.
<Flipside>: The vines are almost gelatinous in nature, a deep azure shade even when lit up.
Donnie tries to reach out and touch one
<Flipside>: The vine wobbles like jelly at Donnie's touch, lighting up.
<Flipside>: It's not intensely bright, but enough to make things visible.
Donnie giggles and goes back to riding
<Flipside>: The Queen makes a turn, entering a large cylindrical chamber.
<Flipside>: Incisions have been made in the stone to act as steps to the massive holes in the wall, where numerous books were stored.
<Flipside>: A mass of mushrooms stood in the center, giving a warm, orange glow.
<Donnie>: "Are all spiders like this?"
<Donnie>: "Like, if I find them in my basement and followed them home would I find another place like this?"
<Flipside>: "I'm afraid not, young man."
<Flipside>: "This is a more... unique fixture."
<Donnie>: "Awh."
<Wrong_Way>: "That sucks."
<Flipside>: "Still, you could usually find an entrance to our network if you search hard enough. A good number are near your school."
<Wrong_Way>: "That's cool. Why'd you pick these woods anyways?"
<Flipside>: "Most people are hesitant to explore a forest right next to a school of superpowered children."

<Donnie>: "Well, it's my /favorite/ forest to explore."
<Wrong_Way>: "Said a superpowered kid."
<Donnie>: "I'm a wizard! It's different!"
<Wrong_Way>: "Surrrre."
<Flipside>: The Queen nods at an auburn-colored spider running the desk, as it tends to some other spider's complaints.
<Donnie>: "Did you ever even get your permit, Mark?"
<Wrong_Way>: "...I-I'll get it eventually."
<Donnie>: "Hmph."
<Donnie>: "You can still teleport, right Mark?"
<Wrong_Way>: "Yeah, so?"
<Donnie>: "My bracelet won't let me anymore, I was just making sure one of us could..."
<Wrong_Way>: "In case of what?"
Donnie shrugs
<Donnie>: "Bad guys?"
<Wrong_Way>: "Alright."
<Wrong_Way>: "Uh, do you know why it isn't working?"
<Flipside>: "A... permit?"
Donnie shrugs
<Wrong_Way>: "I-it's nothing really..."
<Donnie>: "Mark needs to get /permission/ to sue his powers."
<HabeusKaiju>: did someone say sue?]
<Flipside>: [sue his powers]
<Wrong_Way>: "I-I'm getting on it I swear..."
<Flipside>: "Why would he need permission?"
<Donnie>: "Because he needs to prove he's not a bag guy, otherwise his powers could do a lot of bad stuff."
<Wrong_Way>: "Thanks Donnie..."
Wrong_Way promises himself 2 more turtle burgers after this.
<Donnie>: "Well, you're note a bad guy, so it's fine!"
<Flipside>: "That seems... unreasonable, really."
<Flipside>: "A paper would not really prove it, would it?"
<Donnie>: "It makes people feel safe."
<Okeanos>: is it a paper?]
<Wrong_Way>: "It's just an excuse so I've gotta pay taxes or something."
Okeanos is the cavvern library I guess, how he got there is a funny story. You see what happend was {redacted for space}
Wrong_Way wonders why there's another human here but doesn't really question it
<Donnie>: "Oooh! Who's he?"
<Okeanos>: "Hey"
<Flipside>: "Ah, well, some Workers found him nearby the cavern entrance. We don't quite know who he is either."
<Okeanos>: "You can call me Arthur"
<Donnie>: "Hi, Arthur! I'm Donnie!"
<Okeanos>: "Hi Donnie im arthur!"
<Wrong_Way>: "Uh, Mark. Nice to meet you."
<Donnie>: "We're superheroes!"
<Okeanos>: "Nice to meet you too, mark."
<Okeanos>: "Cool! Are you with those s-guys?"
<Donnie>: "Yeah!"
<Okeanos>: "Righteous man, So am I!"
<Wrong_Way>: "That's cool."
<Donnie>: "Cool! We're gonna..."
Donnie turns to Wrong_Way
<Donnie>: "Where are we going after the Library?"
Okeanos is a large male, beard, black hair, he seems wet. Also has bits of marble and gold like metal running around his spine and other parts of him as well as a few lemurian tattoos.
<Flipside>: "Well, up to you. We can explore some more, or head back to the surface?"
<Donnie>: "Lemme check the books first."
<Wrong_Way>: "Alright."
<Flipside>: "Ah, alrighty then. And Arthur sir, is everything alright with you?"
Donnie hops off the Queen and he and hsi otter begin running about the library, quickly scanning for what sorts of books there are
<Okeanos>: "Im pretty good, can I have a glass of water?"
<Flipside>: "I will have the Workers bring you one right away." the Queen says, tapping her leg against the ground. Instantly a Worker spider runs off down the tunnel.
<Okeanos>: "Thank you"
<Wrong_Way>: "So where are you from Arthur?"
<Okeanos>: "I dont know"
<Okeanos>: "Somewhere, everyones from somewhere. You?"
<Flipside>: Donnie sees a near-endless amount of books, ranging from graphic novels to gardening to music theory to mathematics.
Donnie flips through some of the books with pictures him them, and them carefully puts them back and runs back to the group
<Wrong_Way>: "Milford Virginia..."
<Donnie>: "I don't think there are any magic books here. But it's a really nice library!"
Wrong_Way feels kind of bad asking him that.
<Okeanos>: "Nice. I dont know where that is"
<Okeanos>: "Is it near the beach?"
<Flipside>: The Queen nods, her eyes angling in a way that seems to imply smiling. "I am happy you enjoy the books."
<Donnie>: "Hey, Arthur! Did you know that this spider is the Queen? And she's really friendly, too!"
<Flipside>: A Worker spider scuttles in, around four feet in height, with a glass of water on its back. It approaches Arthur.
Donnie uses Umbra to help vault himself back onto the Queen's back
<Okeanos>: "I didnt know that" *takes drink* "Thank you, and thank you your highness"
Okeanos dumps the water on his chest
<Flipside>: "We are always happy to help our guests."
Okeanos nods
<Flipside>: "The library is always open for you. And our Researcher caste will be happy to assist too."
<Donnie>: "If you're the Queen, does that mean you're the mom to all the other spiders?"
<Flipside>: "I... well... yes, it does."
<Donnie>: "So the whole colony is like a great big family!"
<Flipside>: "At least in these caverns."
<Donnie>: "That sounds nice."
<Okeanos>: "Are there other spider peoples?"
<Flipside>: "We really have no idea in regards to that."
<Flipside>: "We cannot afford to explore and find out either, so alas, it seems to be just us for now."
<Okeanos>: "Alrighty"
<Donnie>: "If I find any other spider people, I'll tell you guys!"
<Flipside>: "Thank you, young... pardon me, what is your name again?"
<Donnie>: "I'm Donnie Crespelle!"
<Flipside>: "Well, thank you Donnie."
<Donnie>: "No problem."
<Flipside>: "Right, now where would you three like to go?"
<Okeanos>: "Im good with going with the flow on this one"
<Okeanos>: i didnt mean a pun]
<Wrong_Way>: "Anywhere you wanna see else of Donnie?"
<Donnie>: "Uuuuuh... no, I'm good."
<Flipside>: "Alright then, off to the surface!"
<Okeanos>: "Lovely people"
<Wrong_Way>: "Cool."
<Flipside>: "Hop on my back, the three of you!"
<Donnie>: "Woo!"
Wrong_Way is still on spider's back.
Donnie is as well
<Flipside>: "Arthur?"
Okeanos hops on
<Okeanos>: "Sorry I was a million miles away"
<Flipside>: "No worries Arthur. Now, off we go!"
Okeanos holds on
<Flipside>: The Queen rushes down the tunnels once more, her body bobbing up and down as she moved further upwards.
<Flipside>: "I must thank you three for your understanding."

<Okeanos>: "S'cool"
<Wrong_Way>: "I'm sure people would be just as understanding if they were in our shoes."
<Donnie>: "Understanding what?"
<Flipside>: "Well, for not screaming and going crazy at the sight of us."
<Donnie>: "Oh. It's fine, people used to do that to me, too."
<Flipside>: "Well, it is certainly appreciated."
<Flipside>: The Queen keeps going upwards, the tunnels getting progressively brighter.
Wrong_Way rubs his eyes a bit trying to adjust to regular sun light.
Donnie winces a little, and pulls his arms inside his sweatshirt
<Flipside>: "The school should be nearby, you'll know it when you see it."
<Wrong_Way>: "Alright. Thanks again for letting us see your cool cavern."
<Donnie>: "I'll coem by to visit!"
<Flipside>: "Ooh, that would be nice."
<Flipside>: The caverns become ever brighter, the hordes of Workers becoming scarce.
<Flipside>: The trio come to the mouth of the cave, the Queen hopping out and landing on her feet.
<Flipside>: "Here we are!"
Donnie tries to see where in the forest they are
<Flipside>: They find themselves in a more secluded part of the forest, but the school can vaguely be seen in the distance.
<Donnie>: "Oh, I know where this is."
<Okeanos>: "You do?"
<Donnie>: "Yeah, I go out in the woods at night a lot. It's fun!"
<Flipside>: "Ah, so you're the little scuttler our Scouts have been reporting. Little scamp."
<Donnie>: "Heheh, maybe."
<Okeanos>: "Thanks for the ride"
<Flipside>: "We're happy to help however we can."
<Wrong_Way>: "I guess we'll see you around?"
Okeanos waves and starts walking back to the school
<Wrong_Way>: "If you need the help of the s-men, you know where we are."
<Flipside>: "Oh, of course. Your friend might already be there."
<Flipside>: "Of course. Good day, you three."
<Flipside>: The Queen returns to the caverns.
<Donnie>: "Byyyyeeee~"
Wrong_Way groans as he holds his stomach.
<Wrong_Way>: "I'm gonna do a turtle burger run, you guys want anything?"
<Flipside>: [might want to exeunt here and do the alina part]
<Flipside>: [feel free to chat a bit tho]
<Donnie>: "Yeah!"
<Okeanos>: I dont eat turtles...
<Wrong_Way>: "...It's just a name Arthur, don't worry."
<Okeanos>: "Why is it called a turtle burger?"
<Donnie>: "Yeah, Mark would never eat turtles."
<Wrong_Way>: "It's like how Burger King doesn't use real kings."
<Wrong_Way>: "I have no clue why they call it that."
<Flipside>: [well burger king implies superior quality]
<Okeanos>: plus its not king burger]
<Okeanos>: or human burger]

<Okeanos>: "Alright"
<Okeanos>: "I have no money"
<Donnie>: "Oh yeah, I lost all my money."

<Wrong_Way>: "Sure am. I /don't/ have a 50 dollar bill."
