- Lucius(PC)
- Story 2/3
- the year is 1972.
- you are the son of the devil.
- on your 6th birthday he introduces himself and tells you to kill people. and you do.
- you start killing people in your household starting from the servants and maid and onto your family (well the people who you thought where your family till daddy's visit).
- but you have to make the killing look like accidents because if they'll find out about you.. being the son of the devil won't help you one bit.
- instead you act like the death from the final destination movies.
- an invisible force that hunts the house while the police trying to figure out how can that be that all those apparent accidents keeps happening in the same house again and again and again.
- each kill makes you stronger and more prepared to the next one.
- Gameplay 1.5/3 (polarization -1.5)
- there are 18 chapters in the game. each is an mission to kill an specific person. (and yes, you can kill only him. no freedom)
- you move around the house looking for items, combine them and use them to make "traps" for your victims.
- for every kill you gain power (i.e. XP) and every five or so kills, you gain new ability.
- most of those abilities are quite scripted and effectively can only be used in set moments.
- as an whole the game feels like an point & click game, just without pointing.
- sometimes its fun, and sometimes it is just annoying pixels hunting. i used an youtube walkthrough quite a lot in this game.
- despite the flows it still feels incredible satisfying when the victim is finally caught in your elaborate trap. and even more so when you see how the cops react to the mysterious accidents and locked-from-inside-room murders. and how the other residents react while the body count keep rising.
- Graphics 1/2
- outdated. something you'ed expect to see 4-5 years ago. but it doesn't hurt your eyes.
- replayability 0/1
- none at all.
- originality +1
- final score: 5.5/10
- very good setting and story that can keep you playing even when the gameplay is mediocre at best.
- sadly alone, it isn't enough. it isn't an VN after all.
- the ending isn't impressive either.
- nice try guys. but it wasn't enough. i do interested in your next game.
- for those who don't swim in free time, this one is probably skippable. unless you like point and click games.. then its an must-play.
- (people like those do exist, right?)
