- SGDQ 2017 submissions
- Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
- Category: NG+ Any%
- Estimate: 0:45:00
- The most recent R&C game, based off the movie. Unlike the movie, however, this game is actually good and a really entertaining run. NG+ any% has fast mode and invincibility, both of which allow for unique skips to bypass fights, planets, puzzles, platforming sections, etc. Damage boosts are extremely plentiful and every level has crazy looking platforming exploits and ridiculous OoB's as well as combat strats, resulting in a fast-paced run without dull moments.
- Rayman Legends (PS4)
- Category: Any%
- Estimate: 1:30:00
- Rayman Legends any% is a very fast, heavily movement based 2D platform run, and the PS4 version is 10 minutes faster RTA due to load times. The run makes extensive use of Rayman's varied movement options like spinjumping, rolls, flips and brake boosts to breeze through all the levels and grabbing the required Teensies without stopping. Lots of strats come from improv and knowing how to adapt to mess-ups and slowdowns on the fly, which can make for some interesting moments of minimizing timeloss.
- Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3)
- Categories: Any% and NG+ Any%
- Estimate: 2:05:00 (Any%), 1:50:00 (NG+)
- Often considered one of the best R&C games, ACIT is an interesting speedgame filled with massive skips. Almost every area has some sort of trick, OoB or exploit that allows us to skip several hours worth of gameplay total, and some pretty messed up glitches. Any% is a minimalist underpowered romp with clever weapon manipulation, while NG+ is faster and more OP, but lacks tricks like the barrier skips in space. The hoverboots break the game in half, allowing for speedy movement and crazy jumps.
- Ed Edd 'n Eddy: The Mis-Edventures (GameCube)
- Category: 100%
- Estimate: 1:05:00
- EEnE any% was well received at SGDQ 2016, and 100% shows off the entire game. Unique to this category are precise coin routing, collecting jawbreakers and chickens, as well as the two unique bonus levels, and areas not seen in any other category (most notably, Scam 5 is not completely skipped). The run still contains lots of wall-clips and interesting small optimizations, and fast Ed switching and memorization are key to saving time. Playing on the GameCube version for marathon safety.
- Rayman Origins (PC)
- Category: 130 Electoons
- Estimate: 2:15:00
- 130 Electoons is the older any% category which is a lot more varied. It has very similar movement mechanics to Legends, but with an added layer of depth due to precise Lum collecting and routing. Most of the game is shown and a lot of boring mosquito autoscroller levels are skipped, and the entire run is just one difficult and fast stage after another. This category's last showing was at SGDQ 2013, and the route and strats have been made a lot faster since then, cutting off multiple minutes.
