  1. Seth MacFarlane is having a back and forth with Fox. The guy who created “Family Guy,” “American Dad,” and a few other Fox series said on Twitter that he was embarrassed to work at Fox after Fox News host Tucker Carlson told viewers to “assume the opposite of whatever they’re telling you on the big news stations.”
  2.
  3. MacFarlane, originally from Connecticut, tweeted, “In other words, don’t think critically, don’t consult multiple news sources, and in general, don’t use your brain. Just blindly obey Fox News . . . it’s business like this that makes me embarrassed to work for this company.”
  4.
  5. Michael Tammero, Fox News and Fox Business senior vice president and entertainment reporter, decided to go there — there being the place where everything in Hollywood ends up: The Money. His Twitter response: “Yet . . . NOT quite embarrassed enough to not cash that check . . . isn’t that right @sethmacfarlane?”
  6.
  7. Touché, Fox guy. These days, as audiences, performers, and production companies withdraw their support from men who are facing #MeToo accusations, should MacFarlane be moving away from a company that embarrasses him? Is this a pivotal moment in putting your money where your mouth is?
  8.
  9. It doesn’t matter right now: His contract is with 20th Century Fox, which will be part of Disney or Comcast once one of those companies succeeds in acquiring it. The broadcasting side of Fox — specifically Fox News, Fox Sports, and its local stations — would not be part of the merger.
