  1. Re: Why are you applying / why do you think you should be mod
  2.
  3. I thoroughly enjoy contributing and discussing ideas and helping to improve the general forum experience through that. I think progressively, I'm resolute and courageous, I bring up issues where I believe there are, but I also respect other people's opinions.

  5. Re: What does SMBX mean to you? (forum + game)
  6.
  7. I love it and it's part of my identity. I've been playing a lot of episodes and I've also given feedback and betatested on some occasions. I also care about the people, I'm highly active day in day out, checking for new posts in quick intervals, and I contribute wherever I can.

  9. Re: describe qualifications
  10.
  11. - activity: described above, I'm also frequently online on discord. also I'm a member for more than a year and a half.
  12. - knowledge of rules: I apply the rules to my own posting manners and I use the report button many times.
  13. - outside qualification:
  14. - being a mod on MosaicMafia (so, I have knowledge on how to use mod tools)
  15. - while technically not a staff position, I'm a Game Balancer at EcstasyData's server and we regularily
  16. discuss suggestions and game-related changes with eachother.

  19. I actually wish we wouldn’t do staff applications again anytime soon, because
  20. 1) we’re not a place like several minecraft servers where people don’t know each other much; everyone knows everyone on a familiar level here and I don’t think the applications tell you much that you didn’t know about the person anyway
  21. 2) because of that, I suppose looking at a person’s personal properties still is the decisive factor for the picks, if you want to have a certain someone as staff then you’ll pick them even if their app is lengthy and fluffed etc
  22. and 3) even if that’s not the case and the decisions are influenced by the apps alone: Your qualification for mod is not influenced by how well you can actually write a formal application. The reason why apps make sense on bigger places like minecraft is, again, that you don’t know enough about the other person without them, which again is not the case here
  23. so, i just prefer that you keep picking people by yourselves or just ask the members to raise their hands if you want to know about their interest, without them needing to spend time and brain cells on a formal self-glorifying text. I just disapprove of the mechanism
