  54. David Haller is a patient in a mental hospital. He has been there for several years now and life is pretty much uneventful. Then one day a new patient, beautiful Syd, arrives and he is immediately smitten by her. Little does he realise how his life is about to be turned upside and him discover special powers that he never knew he had.
  55. I&#39;m four deep into season 2, and I&#39;m not buying it. It seems like the season 2 writers for both Legion (20th Century) and Westworld (HBO) have been smoking from the same bowl; and it&#39;s not a good thing. <br/><br/>I like being challenged with a storyline just as much as the next person, but the return in Legion is continuously too insignificant and pretentious to keep the viewer (me ) engaged. <br/><br/>I think I can put a fork in it. There&#39;s is just way too much high quality content out there!
  56. While I&#39;ll keep this review spoiler free, you should just go binge this now with as little information as possible. Even if you don&#39;t like the superhero genre, which I don&#39;t as a stereotype, this still delivered in a big way. <br/><br/>For those who have seen it, I was stunned by the direction of this title. The artistic values receive my top commendation in cinema. The editing felt crisp and I never noticed it in a negative way. So many film styles are used to create a truly unique dreamlike delivery. <br/><br/>One of the most positive elements of this piece, which so many mini- series tragically destroy is pacing. We are constantly getting relevant information which builds to the plot/mystery. The editing felt just right, and I never got the feeling that a scene should have been added or subtracted. In film today this is becoming a pervasive complaint of mine. Most episodic titles I see feel bloated. Even Stranger Things, which I thoroughly enjoyed, felt like it needed to be slimmed down a bit. Legion could have easily done this by doing a deep dive into anyone of the supporting character&#39;s backstories without a proper main plot tie-in.<br/><br/>In a world of dozens of full budget superhero titles being released a year this truly stands out.
