LTTP No OoB stuff

Quit info dump about Link to the Past No Out of Bounds category because it'd take too many tweets.

1) Runs start on file select and end upon entering the triforce room.
2) Out of Bounds glitches and Exploration Glitch are banned.

Definitions for glitches are at the bottom.
OoB = Out of Bounds : passing through game designed boundaries and walls
EG = Exploration Glitch : walking on the wrong layer through anything
YBA = Yuzuhara's Bottle Adventure : using a potion on a screen transition, which can have a number of different effects
Semi-EG : a form of EG that includes wrongwarps, door rewriting, YBA/Mirror/Somaria Block screen scrolling, pulling statues through doors

Initialy YBA was use to bring the flute and skip the lightworld by traveling from dark world death mountain to Palace of Darkness. It was decided to no use it in the main category but allow it in Any% S+Q aka Any% (No_OoB). Bringing the flute menu with YBA isn't considered a Out of Bounds glitch.
Any% (No EG) doesn't allow screenwarp, even if screenwarp isn't considered as a EG glitch. It's arbitraty, but otherwise the run will not be interesting"

So I learned the run from Xelna's WR video supplemented by some other runs posted to SRC. In many you will see the Rupee farming glitch which happens shortly after finishing Eastern Palace (around 14 minutes in a good run). You green pot inside the castle and warp to death mountain where you press up&down to receive currency. Seems that glitch is either OoB or Semi-EG. Listen to wrqqqqqt try to explain in his pb. Then the entrance to Turtle Rock also skirts OoB when you use a Green potion to set up a screenwarp (that's a YBA glitch).  At this point, using the Mirror will send you a screen forward. Do it in the right spot and you can land Out of Bounds in the light world (but don't go through a wall), porting you back to the dark world close enough to one of the back entrances to Turtle Rock. I also learned how to enter at the entrance closest to the boss. You just mirror in a different spot. Xelna mentions offhand not doing that due to lack of speed benefit. I don't use it because I want Mirror Shield.

I was beginning to have trouble understanding the rules of this category and what liberties I could take.  If I am allowed to enter Turtle Rock that way, what's okay and what isn't? So I started looking up info and asking around starting with LTTP community folks I know and who visit my stream.

Barnowl confirmed what the YBA page said, that the No Out of Bounds category was modified to allow YBA at that time.
darkmagician1184 asked active community for me and the responses were:
1) When the YBA glitch was allowed in the No Out of Bounds category, OoB and EG (meaning the EG Map?) weren't as well-understood as they are now. (I don't know what has changed.)
2) the category is especially arbitrary.  YBA and OoB should be together in terms of how they allow the player to sequence break the game (YBA is just less efficient in most cases)
3) that the category is dead and people should either be running EG or OOB because they are better categories.
4?) Whenever I streamed learning YBA LTTP runners who came by mostly asked "why this category?" "there's a race".

Thus my interpretation that the category is 'dead' is in the sense that Latin is a dead language. You can learn it and practice it but there's not room for growth or change. The rules have already bent to the limit. This is why I won't be doing anything glitch-related in LTTP that would need refereed (i.e. not done in a verified run of this category). No one involved with the bounty is qualified to.
