- A group of Iraq War veterans look to clear their name with the U.S. Military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
- Four American soldiers who are in Iraq are sent on a mission to recover plates for printing 100 dollar bills that were used to print a billion dollars. After doing the job and returning to the base their commanding officer is killed in an explosion and the plates are stolen by another operative. They would be court martialed and sent to different prisons. 6 months later, the leader, Hannibal Smith is visited by a CIA spook who tells him he knows where the man who took the plates is and wants him and his men to recover it. So he helps him escape and he breaks out the others and they go after the plates. But after doing it, they discover that the spook might not be ok. And a military intelligence officer who was involved with one of them is pursuing them.
- Mirthless, dead-eyed movie, propelled forward through space and time by money alone. That defenders of this movie always frame their argument within the phrase "I know what kind of movie this is..." it's like saying ' I know this movie is a piece of sh*t but also it's not half bad '. The movie is going to be one or the other, never both. Fine, movie's problem is that it's not a comedy. A-Team as an awful 80's TV show is hilarious, everything is impossible and the plot is moronic and something blows up every episode. This movie takes itself way too serious, just a humorless bore full of sad machismo. We can't blame everything on cocaine, so what is this movie's excuse?
- I have been following some of the criticism about this film. The story is lacking, to say the least. Huge parts of this movie are at best illogical if not outright absurd and factually wrong. Who cares if the non existent US Army Headquarters in Germany is actually the Czech Embassy in Berlin. Who gives a damn that it is not explained how the A-Team goes past the wrongly labeled Norwegian border-control. Who complained that even the original television series lacked a real story? This being said I can only confirm what some reviewers already stated: The A-Team is an all-fun action movie that does a lot of credit to the original series. The characters have been updated nicely and they all fill their predecessors' shoes very well. The tongue-in-cheek spirit has been kept alive and even the somewhat action-overloaded final was well made. If you have seen the abominable Starsky and Hutch you will be aware how much a remake can go wrong and please remember: This is not a Shakespeare adaption.
- The players embrace this for the lark it is. Their pleasure in going this gonzo spills off the screen.
- The A-Team is based on , a TV series that ran from 1983-1987. The storyline was adapted for the film by screenwriters Skip Woods, Michael Brandt, and Derek Haas. <a href="/name/nm0776239/">Dwight Schultz</a> and <a href="/name/nm0070767/">Dirk Benedict</a> both had a cameo appearance in a short scene after the closing credits. <a href="/name/nm0001558/">Mr. T</a> does not make a cameo appearance. <a href="/name/nm0000577/">George Peppard</a> passed away in 1994. The unrated extended cut provides many extensions to balance out the action/story ratio. F-bombs, removed from the theatrical version, have been re-integrated into the movie as well.
