chapter 13 - willpower gives the trio some viable information bc he's scared as egg or angel bc who isn't???? lunareyes reveals to morrows that visionspeaker is safe on their island. morrows is feeling really guilty for doubting his sister and snapping at her and goby helps comfort him. just more goby mmkay

chapter 14 - angel demands that willpower take them to the island they are hiding on. mostly a chapter for getting a feel for the nightwing's living conditions and seeing nightlight as a leader. starry and soulcatcher reunion, morrows and soulcatcher.

chapter 15 - angel pov chapter. she has a talk with nightlight and they shakily agree to become allies and go to war against slitthroat. it actually finally hits morrows that he will have to face his mother.

chapter 16 - training. nightlight gives starry, peacemaker, and morrows their own weapons. maybe some funny peace vs morrows scenes. then it gets serious again and morrows starts to worry about losing peacemaker or starry or angel. he is also struggling with getting back on his sister's good side bc she becomes sort of an antagonist in this chapter

chapter 17 - focused on morrows trying to come to terms with his sister. she's being a super stubborn butt and just not listening to his apologies and attempts to please her. perhaps forging a friendship between peace and angelfish?

chapter 18 - a raid comes to the island and everything is chaos. morrows in fighting action, and visionspeaker is killed. then morrows goes totally berserk and fights like a freaking monster. vision forgives him and apologizes for being a butt to him before she passes.

chapter 19 - fleets get ready to move out and attack the night kingdom. minor skirmishes have been happening all week and a few innocents are killed (like vision) in the process so angel and nightlight decide it's time to take action. morrows and friends get suited for suits of armor. mostly focused on morrows coming-of-age arc.

chapter 20 - war. morrows and nightlight moments. flight over the ocean and clashing with a bunch of fleets that are protecting the mainland. they finally make it, and all hell breaks loose and we get to see how starry's grown up and she fights like a Beast and it's a little wild.

chapter 21 - morrow sight fights slitthroat. he struggles with killing his own kin. it's intense, and we really get to see how morrows has grown emotionally /and/ physically since the start of the story. it ends with him killing her, and a super huge realization for /morrows/ on how much he's grown.

chapter 22 - the flight home. morrowsight is super emotionally scarred (understandably) and peacemaker is there to comfort him. nightlight was wounded really badly in the fight and is dying. morrows is having to cope with the reality that he will be the only one in his family left alive.

chapter 23 - morrows goes to bid his father farewell. before nightlight passes, he tells morrowsight that he will have to be king. morrows cries, and realizes that he isn't a dragonet anymore, and that it's time to grow up. he tells peacemaker, and asks her if she'll marry him. just a really beautiful chapter about morrows growing up.

epilogue - morrowsight and peacemaker sitting on their thrones and telling their dragonets the story of how morrowsight became a hero. a really nostalgic chapter, and a calm and sweet ending to the story.
