Enoshima was one of the first people to appear in the City, after her sister's death. For the first little bit, she lived in secret, not allowing anyone to know of her or find her, working from the shadows, being sure to manipulate people from the safety of the Despair District.

One night, however, she got cocky after plunging an important figure in the city into despair, causing their soul to be captured and eaten by the Reapers. Right after he had fallen, she was kidnapped by the Reapers as well, being carried away to god-knows-where.

Her memories were wiped, and she returned about a month later under a different appearance. Found by Ikusaba Mukuro, who slightly recognizes her aura as that of her sister, Mukuro was the one who gave her the name "Otonashi Ryouko", and Ryouko believes (correctly?) that Mukuro is her deceased sister.

During the day, she continues to live under the alias of Otonashi Ryouko, a confused amnesiac girl who lives under the protection of Ikusaba Mukuro, but as soon as she sees the night, her personality seems to change into that of Enoshima Junko again. However, once morning begins again, she begins to be Ryouko again, and cannot remember anything that happened the night before.

Relationships Formed:

Enoshima Junko/Otonashi Ryouko: Her other persona, and acts as a conscience of sorts at times.

Ikusaba Mukuro: Her sister/sister figure. As Ryouko, she lives with her happily and under her protection. As Junko, however, the relationship is tense because of the betrayal.
