  1. Dream World.
  2.
  3. Dream World is oft seen as a patchwork world, filled with oddities of the climate and other, stranger features. First of all, to understand Dream World one must realize how it came to be. The original Dream World was a much smaller piece of ground, supposedly, as the legends say, composed of massively tall and wide pillars that rose from an endless sea.
  4.
  5. Nobody knows what happened to this realm, but what is known is that there is no such thing left anywhere. Supposedly, the waters dried up and the piece of land floated to the west, somewhere. But the pillars and everything else were as they say, swallowed by the sea. And it could hold some credence seeing as the center of Dream World is a massive ocean.
  6.
  7. Dream World is then further split, into four major bits. The south, the west, the east and north. What they call the north is actually the south, and what they call the south is actually the north though. The most prominent ones as of today are of course, the east and west. A war rages between them, and it is bound to be one that'll shape the world. The west, is supposedly the most favored in this conflict.
  8.
  9. Starting off, at its very eastern end, where the large shores rise, there is a massive swampland, filled with lagoons and well, you guessed it, swamps, and some few plains. Bogs are an occurrence as well. It is here, a prominent race of Dream World, the Frogs, came to rise from. Further west, we have a series of mountains, and high regions, which further divide.
  10.
  11. To the north of this second belt, lies a fragment of Golthea. A nation populated by warriors, Glothea is a realm that has produced many protectors of the West, the last of them, being the appointed leader of the military effort to conquer the east, King Lordin. It is a nation building its castles in high altitudes, and cities in the valleys, and plainer areas around. Golthea is home to the largest population of Battlelords.
  12.
  13. Furthermore, to the south, of this second belt, lies a set of forests, which begin connecting with the southern jungles and woods. It is a little populated area nonetheless, mostly serving as a hunting or tourism spot. The only natives are some tribes of druidic Feral Imps.
  14.
  15. The center of the belt, has the aforementioned mountains obviously. But the further west we go, the more we begin seeing the independent cities. To the north, we have Norgrand, a large, industrialized city state, a center for the production of many war machines. To the south we have the old remnants of the League of Magicians, the old organization that served as a regulative authority for Magician daemons...
  16.
  17. And then, somewhere in between this fragment, the woods, and the mountains further west, we have the Blacklands. A land, scorched by the activities of the once powerful and revered dark wizard, Zordus. The Celestials have appointed one of their mightiest agents, Arch Inquisitor Merevor to deal with the issue. Problems arise when followers of Zordus begin converting into members of the cult of V'Zarr nonetheless.
  18.
  19. The Frogs cities and realms are further west as well, not to mention multiple other species, mostly humanoid in nature living here. Traces of ancient civilization can be seen around here, just before reaching to the Celestials. Their own palaces, and cities are above all else.
  20.
  21. Mainly in how large, shiny, golden and advanced they seem to be. The Celestials are the prime race of the west and as some say, the world at large. Their kings and rulers are often equated with the ruling of the entirety of Dream World.
  22.
  23. Further upwards, in the northwest of the world, lie the colder wastes, where even more ancient ruins can be seen. Few Snow Imps dwell this area as some of the more ancient dwellers lie in wait and patience. They form small villages and towns, in the shadow of the mountains. They live side by side, with beings of legend and monsters of old tales.
  24.
  25. Many other races fill the west, but they are spread in no specific orders or areas. Imps, as usual, Battlelords, and Spirits as well, are not uncommon. Awuatic daemon species as well, or other forms, such as shifters, magicians, glyphs, item focuses and emission types are generally welcome.
  26.
  27. The South is a different area. First we have the northern bits of it. It is assigned seven major areas, each ruled by a "druid". Further south from the woods is a region of heavy volcanic activity, and further south, lays the greatest desert lf Dream World. So yes, it expands greatly south-wise.
  28.
  29. The seven parts of the main woods, and the single largest forested area of Dream World are each full of their own populace, and dynamics. The Great Woods are home to a type of shifter daemons that have generally swayed with the west. Their forms generally are animalistic or reminiscent of wild beasts like lions, bears, tigers or wolves. They worship the cycle of life and death, as well as the power of nature.
  30.
  31. The jungle has no proper name, but is split in two bits. The northern bit, is closer to the seas, and full of large, flowing rivers. Its more powerful individuals are actually nature types, holding power over the river waters, and the wildlife growing around these, with shifters being the guardians of this territory, turning into powerful beasts, of both water and land.
  32.
  33. The souther bit is flowery, and full of vegetation. A beautiful sight, but not a welcoming one as plants are pretty much the only permanent residents here. Little else has ever been allowed to let alone transverse, not to think of live here.
  34.
  35. The small forests lying in the proximity of the volcano, have a set of protectors that harvest the powers of the charred earth, the ash of the burnt trees, and the decay of life as well as are the most civilized bit, with some cities and villages, and occasional farming activities held out.
  36.
  37. Beyond this, the realm is known for the famous rock plains. A realm of the most ancient species, that have been hidden from view, and sight for millennia, and are surprisingly close to the only massive mining area Dream World has. Little is known about this bit, and even less about its inhabitants, bar from legends.
  38.
  39. The other bit, would be the Mad Forest, split in two bits. The southern, smaller Black Forest, filled with winged monstrosities and dangers in every corner, (yes even the trees) is perhaps the second most dangerous area of the south. The most dangerous would have to be the northern, bigger Red Forest. Nothing grows there, and the threes themselves have grown very very old. No new trees, no travelers...nothing goes through this place.
  40.
  41. Further south, the volcanic area is said to have been home to a powerful group of warriors and magi, lead by a woman named Vilgras, but their current state is unknown. Few people spend enough time there to bother finding out.
  42.
  43. Then there is the desert. Once upon a time, a civilization called Zolkar existed there. Nonetheless, a terrible event caused its premature destruction, as a shower of meteorites descended upon it, brutally killing almost every single inhabitant. Nowadays it is simply a place where small towns built around oases, and small caravans go through, trying to pass around the goods. This is due to the Sun of the North being very hot.
  44.
  45. The southeast, was once a powerful kingdom as well, Rhalida. Home of the Rhaliden, a proud people, and perhaps the most capable users of the heart magics. They built great walled cities, but a hint of an ancient and dangerous daemon, underneath their territory, corrupting them slowly, opted for the destruction of their realm. The only opposition, which was followed by their last king, Khagol heading out in battle, lead,to the further ruination of it.
  46.
  47. The east on the other hand is a far more different place. It is full of many races, and is often prone to bursting out in vicious civil wars. It's local name is "Khaz Dael" the "Land of Dust". A derogatory western term for them, which they on their own turn hold pridefully. As the saying goes, never take part in a land war in Khaz Dael.
  48.
  49. The "Dae" are their large cities. There are no nations proper in the east, and it is still a very divided place. Luckily enough, their military effort is well focused, after a certain easterner, who had formerly been adopted into the west, by none less than King Stellios X, came and brought together the many warring clans and races. His name... Was Thorg, and he is one of the most revered eastern figures.
  50.
  51. The land is generally plain like, but there are mountains, deserts, canyons, valleys and all sorts of terrain found in the east. They have been growing less warlike in their internal aspect, and more so in the external now, with the threat of the west looming. It is said, that the royalty of Zolkar was once given the east to rule. But they refused, and moved south. To this day they are seen largely as eastern, but who spread on the south.
  52.
  53. The east is home to many races. The ogres, are very prominent. Trolls as well, not to mention some species of Frogs, and the very well known Feral Imps, who moved from the southern jungles to the east. Spirits exist here as well, and Rhaliden was once part of it. Once.
  54.
  55. They are strong, devout protectors of the old, and some of the Dae, such as say, Dae Shozen or Dae Gin, have their administration appointed and acting under the old official code of conduct, and protocols. They were home to more races in the past, that saw it as a part of the world where everyone converged, but recently wars, first within itself and then with the west, have forced its stance.
  56.
  57. One would go to the east if they were looking for adventure as well. The easterners the, selves do not explore as much, there being few proper explorers or archeologists among them, and as a result, there are many ancient secrets waiting to be unraveled, or treasures of the old, lying buried.
  58.
  59. Further to the east lies a great desert, one that nobody has ever crossed to its end, but a select few of daemons. It is said the end of the world begins, once you cross over the mountains as its end... But only if you dare to do so. Which, not many have, so far.
  60.
  61. The northeast is a different formation. Mainly in how it is colder there, but not TOO cold. Some of the southern druids came here as well with the massive imp migration. The snow imps as well, who settled quite well in the northeast, for ing the large and powerful Gugin Empire. Under the rule of their great empress, they have only seen growth and prosperity.
  62.
  63. The north is where a large archipelago lies. Filled with many smaller islands, that hold traces of ancient daemon life and culture, Helia's archipelago, named after the Sun of the South shining above them, is both one of the best places for tourism, but also for magician daemons, that wish to study on the ways of the arcane, as the great Council of Magi lies there.
