  15. So I decided to take the old man's offer. I mean who wouldn't, it's a win/win situation. He gets his entertainment and I get an escape from the life I have so come to hate. To top it off, it's a world I am VERY familiar with, the world of Pokemon.
  16.
  17. I've decided to keep a journal of my experiences whilst I am doing this. I will make it as accurate as I can and keep it as updated as I can.

  21. Day 1/June 13, 2028
  22.
  23. I "awoke" next to a lake and a forest, it seems to be about mid-day. For a moment I thought I had passed out whilst hiking but this is not a place I recognize. It took me a moment to remember what had happened, I was sent to another world by some bored god. It would seem I have been given a few gifts to help me out along the way. At first, I thought he just gave me a backpack, but when I looked inside it was packed with all kinds of stuff. Money, a laptop (which I am now writing this on), a bike, some rappelling gear, some kind of mouthpiece, a few pokeballs and a pokedex, what I'm guessing is a phone, some potions, a hat, and a collection of all of the HM's. It would also seem that my health has taken an 180, I have gone from being slightly overweight to having the body of an athlete. After messing around a bit with the laptop and phone I found out a couple of things. 1st, this world has the exact same calendar as earth and it is currently June 13, 2028, and 2nd, I am currently in the Hoenn region, just south of Rustboro city. Well, I am going to head south into Petalburg woods to see if I can catch a pokemon and then figure out what to do from there.
  24.
  25. So, that didn't quite go like I thought it would. On the way towards Petalburg woods I was testing one of the pokeballs to see exactly how they work, and holy hell was I surprised. I pressed the button to open the ball and an Eevee with gray fur came out! So I guess I'm starting this adventure with a new friend. She is quite friendly and we either have some kind of mental link or I have telepathy because we have been communicating through thought for the past hour or so. She doesn't have a name and she says she doesn't remember anything before I let her out of the Pokeball (did the old man create her or kidnap and erase her memories? I guess it doesn't matter either way). She does have knowledge, but, it's just logic, she knows what she is but not who and she can recognize various things including other pokemon, only to an extent, though. After a fair amount of thinking, I've decided to name her Ivory.

  28.
  29. Since I no longer need to catch a pokemon, I'm going straight into Rustboro and checking out everything. The pokemart comes first, I've got to get food, toiletries, and hopefully some camping gear. After that, I'll try to find a clothing store and somewhere I can buy some journals (it's getting really annoying to keep pulling this thing out every time I want to write something. I also need to grab some cigarettes if they have them here. It would probably be a good idea to figure out exactly how much money I have here, or at least figure out what's expensive and what's not.
  30.
  31. Alright, I've gotten a fair amount of stuff done in the past few hours. I have enough food to last me and Ivory at least a week, along with another six pokeballs, two more potions, a first aid kit for myself, a few antidotes and the like, and some repels. I now have several changes of clothes. The camping gear was easy enough to find, got a small tent, a sleeping bag, a few boxes of matches, a small foldable chair, a tarp, some kind of knife/spork combination, some plastic plates and cups, and a bit of rope. I was unable to find any decent journals, though, maybe I can find some in Slateport or Mauville. One thing I am really happy for is that they actually have cigarettes here, I grabbed four cartons of smokes, I got a couple of weird looks but I don't give a fuck. After all of this, I still have around $43k so I should be good for a long while. I guess it's time to get out there and start training.
  32.
  33. I decided to go south into Petalburg woods. According to the map on my pokegear, it's a three to four-day trek to Petalburg city. It wasn't too long after getting into the woods that we encountered our first pokemon. It was a small Wurmple, as soon as it saw us it got into a defensive position, I guess it was used to getting into battles with trainers. The battle lasted only a few minutes, it was pretty fast and dodged most of Ivory's attacks, but in the end, it wasn't very strong as was taken down by the few hits that Ivory got in. I decided against trying to capture it, the pokedex is already filled and I'm not going to catch everything I come across.
  34.
  35. We had a few more battles after that. Most of them went fine, but the last one didn't, for either pokemon involved. It was a shroomish that was much stronger than everything else we had battled. It quickly took down Ivory, and then, it turned on me. As it came rushing towards me four years of soccer kicked in, and well, that was the last time I saw it. I rushed over to Ivory to make sure she was ok. She was beaten, but still conscious. I took out a potion and then realized I had no clue how to use one. I took a guess and sprayed it on the bruises I could find. At first, it seemed like nothing happened but a minute later she sprang up and seemed to be perfectly fine. I wonder what this stuff has in it.
  36.
  37. After that, I set up camp and got a small fire going. I prepared both of us some food and got ready to get some sleep. It's odd, normally I hated camping alone, but for some reason, I feel safer in a forest full of unearthly creatures than I ever did back home. Is it because of Ivory, or maybe was it because this whole "pulled from my own fucking reality and put into another one" thing hasn't entirely sunk in. I guess there is no going back from this is there, 10 years, but what comes after that, do I go back home or possibly to another world, the only way to find out is to get to the end of this I guess. Well, I'm going to finish this soup and get some sleep.

  39. -- Day 2
  40.
  41. 7:22 A.M.
  42. Alright, what the FUCK just happened. One minute I was dreaming about fishing behind my old house and then the next I was in a nightmare, surrounded by things I can't even begin to describe. They were inching closer and closer for what felt like an eternity. I could hear tortured screams and cries all around me, but I couldn't see the source of them. Everything was dark but I could somehow still see. It was all twisted and malformed, it felt like reality was trying to pull itself apart. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe, and I couldn't scream. I could only stand there, frozen in fear, awaiting whatever horrid fate was coming my way. Suddenly, the things pounced, mauling me. At this point, I could scream, but only for a moment as one slashed my throat. I don't know how long this went on for, but, at some point I heard a distant voice calling out to me and felt a pain that was somehow different from the rest in my right arm, and everything began turning a dark red, then black.
  43.
  44. I woke up with Ivory biting my arm, screaming in my head to wake up. She was apparently as I terrified as had just been because it took me a minute to get her to let go. I bandaged myself up and cleaned the blood off of everything. Ivory was curled up in the corner of the tent, saying "I'm sorry" over and over again. I picked her up and told her not to feel bad, I knew that she was only trying to help and I am grateful that she did it. She just went quiet and hung her head. I placed her in my lap and decided to try to meditate to clear my head. About twenty minutes later I was cooking breakfast and getting ready to break down camp. I'm going to focus more on getting through the forest than battling today.
  45.
  46. 9:30 P.M.
  47. Well, I am camping again tonight. I made a good amount of distance, and while I'm not out yet, I can smell the ocean. I've set up camp next to a small pond and am currently eating dinner. The day was not very eventful, there were a few battles but the were nothing interesting. Ivory seems to be in a much better mood than she was in the morning. I have been thinking, I need an end goal. What can I accomplish in ten years? I know I'm going to take on the gyms in this region at the very least, but am I going to try for the league? What about the battle frontier? Do I want to try and travel the entire world? How many pokemon do I want to catch, the pokedex I have is already filled so I don't need to catch everything? What kind of team do I want to build? What do I want Ivory to evolve into? Do I want to try and make friends or do I want to do this alone? So many questions and so many options, it's a little overwhelming. I am happy that I took the old man's offer, it was the best decision I have ever made. I'm going to bed. Hopefully, I won't have a repeat of last night.
  48.
  49. -- Day 3
  50.
  51. Well fuck, I'm gonna be stuck here a little while. Woke up to rain, hard rain. I should have bought an umbrella. At least I didn't have any nightmares, just dreams of home, I guess I miss it more than I realize, no need to focus on the past, though, I have more important things to think about. I think I'm going to go jump in the pond, it would be a good opportunity to test out the rebreather, and I need a bath.... as does Ivory. Should've bought some towels, and some swim trunks, I need to make a shopping list. Oh well, let's jut hope nobody shows up.
  52.
  53. So, I have just learned a few things. First, the rebreather works. Second, Ivory Cannot swim. Third, Ivory can use the rebreather. Fourth, I can hold my breath for around 15 minutes. I guess this new body is for more than show. I mean, I could tell that I am in better shape that I ever have been, but this is amazing. So, I need to teach Ivory how to swim, with the amount of water we are going to have to cross over it could be bad otherwise.
  54.
  55. - 9:17 A.M. The rain has finally cleared up so I'm going to try and get to Petalburg city before nightfall. I think I can run all the way there from this point. There is one issue though, Ivory does not want to go into her pokeball. It scares her apparently, she think she will disappear if she goes back in. Since I do not want to force her into it I guess I am going to have to find another way to carry her. I guess I could put her in my hoodie pocket. I can buy or make a bag to keep her in later.
  56.
  57. Well, Time to get going.
  58.
  59. - 8:31 P.M. I've made it to the ocean, I can see the lights from Petlaburg from here. I am going to sit here and enjoy the sunset for a bit before I go into town, though. Thinking about it, I think am going to explain to Ivory exactly what I'm doing here. I mean, I don't think it would be right otherwise, especially since she is going to be travelling with me from here on out. That is another reason I'm not going to be catching everything I see, I don't want to just pull them from their own world. I mean, I can always just release them before I leave but that doesn't feel right either. I'm just going to have to think on it.
  60.
  61. -9:16 P.M. Ok, what the hell. I just got swarmed by a bunch of fucking Zubats, like nine of them. This is getting fucking ridiculous. It took a bit but Ivory took them all down. They were all pretty weak but the numbers presented a bit of a challenge, just more training I suppose. Still, something tells me that the old man must be laughing his ass off right now.
  62.
  63. -10:45 P.M. I'm now in Petalburg city. I got lucky and found a small place similar to a motel that lets trainers stay for free, you do have to pay for meals though. They don't have any rooms for smokers but you can smoke on the back patio, which is what I'm doing right now. I've been talking to Ivory about everything. I've told her that I'm not from this world and how I got here, or at least why I'm here, I don't know how the old man got me here. I've told her that I'm only here for a certain amount of time before I move on and I don't know exactly where I'm going after this, hell I don't really know what I'm going to do here. She simply responded that she goes where I go. I guess since I'm the first person she saw there is some kind of attachment, only time will tell as to whether or not that wears off.
  64.
  65. I need to get some sleep.
  66.
  67. -- Day 4
  68.
  69. -7:30 A.M. It would seem that the old man though it would be fucking hilarious to put me here right in the middle of the rainy season. Lucky for me, I like the rain..... at least when I have a better mode of transport than a frigging bike, but it's better than nothing. I checked the forecast and it's going to be on and off for the next week and a half. I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it since I'm going to be spending a few days between here and Rustboro training to get their badge.
  70.
  71. -1:04 P.M. I'm going to start putting a bit more space in between writing these. Training is going well, this is obviously going to take a LOT longer than it did in the games, but hey, I signed up for it.
  72.
  73. --Day 6
  74.
  75. -8:00 A.M. The weather has cleared up a bit, though it is still cloudy. So far there have been no major issues with training, but I'm still not sure how to gauge Ivory's strength. She has definitely gotten used to battles
