A new member of the Brinkerhoff Family

21:58		Sylum Looked to the ground. He lost count of how long hes been there, he'd wish he could just forget about everything hes done, every thought hes had. He deserved this, and will always think that. He wondered what the people he knew were doing, if Xenon would ever just decide to end him. Would they make Meri do it? He had no real idea
21:59		Meridian knocked his knuckles against the closet door, making a sound that would draw Sy out of his daze.
21:59	Meridian	"You're still alive in there, wake up."
22:00	Sylum	"W-What!?" That was the first sound Sy heard in ages
22:01		Meridian opened up the closet. The man was as huge as ever. Since Sy had last seen him he hadn't changed too much besides some gray streaks that appeared in his hair.
22:01	Meridian	"You still sane?"
22:02		Sylum looked around, this entire time, he hasn't been in some High Tech Prison made by Xenon...hes been in a Closet "...I-I think...?"
22:04	Meridian	"Good. Here is the news."
22:04	Meridian	"I haven't been keeping you locked away in a grand underground facility like I told you. This is my house along the hills."
22:05	Meridian	"And, furthermore, I don't have any reason to keep you locked up anymore."
22:09	Sylum	"W-What? Why?" Sy still couldn't believe it He slowly got up, confused how he never realized where he was
22:10		Meridian started putting in the combination for the holding machine.
22:11	Meridian	"You see, I have no affiliation to Xenon anymore. They are out the window. I've taken my company and have done a merger with the federal government to establish a universal law system."
22:11	Meridian	"That isn't important to you. What is important is that whats left of Xenon isn't taking you, and the government has no interest."
22:12	Meridian	"So, I was told that I should free you. To a degree. They want me to still keep watch over you."
22:16		Sylum fell to the ground, not having use his hands and feel in a while. Slowly he got up "X-Xenon is gone?...Keep watch over me? L-Like, a pet..." He stood up, about 4'10. Looking up to the Giant in front of him, 3 eyes and all
22:17	Meridian	"No. They told me- and I quote-"
22:17	Meridian	" "Treat the subject as though they are your adopted grandson" "
22:18	Meridian	"And that is not the first time I've gotten that kind of order, I'm apparently the designated grandfather for Neon City." He gruffed a bit.
22:20		Sylum was amazed, Adopted Grandson...Never in his life has he had a family, and with it not being the first time, he would have a 'sister' He swallowed, taking it all in "W-Wow...Thats....Wow."
22:22	Meridian	"Yeah, that's what Otilya said. I'm used to it." Turning around, he started his way out of the bedroom. Meri's bedroom. The bed was only barely larger than he was and wall to wall was the collections of his life. Medals from wars, souvenirs from around the world, culture pieces from the cold war, and at least one David Hasselhoff album.
22:26		Sylum walked forward, stumbling a bit, looking around and taking it all in, this was his part of his new home. "S-Something I dont understand, how did you keep me in the Closet? W-Wouldnt' you need to open it to get clothes out?"
22:29	Meridian	"Nope." That was the best answer he'd get. Considering Meri's powers maybe that answered itself. He was going out to the kitchen to get himself something for breakfast. All in all it was a small, humble house, not particularly fancy in architecture but he didn't cheap out on what was in it. The sofa and furniture were large and luxurious, the rugs comfortable
22:29	Meridian	, the lighting in there was superb with plenty of sunlight from the windows, and he even had a huge TV. Everything seemed huge. Must be fitted for him.
22:39		Sylum felt Small. Didn't help that he was, but everything was Huge. He would have to get use to it, seeing how this was his new home "S-So...Do I have a room?"
22:40	Meridian	"..."
22:41	Meridian	"You don't like the closet?"
22:41		Meridian held a totally serious expression for a few moments.
22:41	Sylum	"...N-No, I dont"
22:41		Meridian grinned.
22:42	Meridian	"I'm fucking with you. Yes. I have a spare room."
22:50	Sylum	"Ok. I have a room...my own, personal room..." Sy felt crying, his face clearly showed it
22:51		Meridian looked on. His face was unchanging but he wouldn't berate him for this.
22:54	Sylum	"S-Sorry, sorry. I just, never had a real room before. Even in Xenon it was like a Jailcell."
22:55	Meridian	"Its alright. You can go check it out yourself. Its upstairs, across from Otilya's."
22:55	Meridian	"..."
22:56	Meridian	"And you should keep your distance from Otilya. She is under my protection. Plus, she's just as dangerous as she is vulnerable. I don't want half of the house to be blown out."
22:58	Sylum	"O-Oh, alright...Makes family outings harder" Sy chuckled at his little joke before going back to being quiet, he walked up the stairs
23:00	Meridian	The differences between the two rooms upstairs were very clear. What Sylum could assume was his room had a normal door. Further down the hall looked more like an armored vault as a door, a substantial budget seeming to have been put into it.
23:03		Sylum goes to open his door...but the other one kept his attention. He couldn't help but walk up to it. "..." He slowly knocked
23:08	Meridian	A panel on the door opened up with very thick glass behind it, but could still be seen through. Inside was a rather bare room that was reinforced at all sides and vacuum sealed, looking stronger than most things he'd seen out of even Xenon. And there was a girl in there.
23:09	Meridian	Her clothing was very baggy and covered her for the most part, but what he could see was her hands and her head. She was pale. An albino, with skin nearly as light as her colorless hair, and red eyes that stood out from across the room. She looked meek, somewhat timid, especially at who was looking in.
23:10	Sylum	"..." Sy knocked on the glass, trying to get her attention "H-Hi?"
23:12	Meridian	The girl didn't come to the door for what must have been a few minutes. Then she actually went up to it and pressed a button. Her voice came in through the door. "H... Heya..."
23:15	Sylum	"I'm Sylum...I-I guess, your brother technically? Meri had to adopt me..."
23:16	Meridian	"My name is... Otilya. I was told a lot about you." Like Meri, she did have an accent. Sounded German? Lightly differed, but its doubtful that Sylum would pick up that she was Austrian instead of German.
23:35	Sylum	"Its nice to meet you...C-Can I ask whats with the room?" Sounded German like Meri, Sy felt a bit outtcasted from that
23:37	Meridian	"Without my suit on, I would have destroyed the house if it wasn't for this room."
23:37	Meridian	"I can't go outside of here without it."

00:04	Meridian	MEANWHILE in Sylum's room!
00:06	Meridian	Meridian seemed to have put a lot of effort into making things comfy, for some reason. The bed had quilted blankets and a few nice pillows. A few places to store things if he wished to. A desk with some paper, some utensils, a clock, and... computer? Little laptop, but holy shit
00:14		Sylum looked around. Once more having tears come up. A room all of his own, care put into it. He hasn't felt happy like this in a long while. He sat on his bed, resting his head on the pillow
00:18	Meridian	Downstairs, Meridian was whistling and flipping bacon. From the window Sylum could see it was a pretty beautiful day out. First one he's seen in a long time.
00:26		Sylum smiled. A few tears ran down his face, maybe now he can live a normal life with a German Giant and a girl who need to be contained
