​Straight to the point, here's what I'm proposing as the teams.

This is the best way to make the teams as balanced as possible. If you have any serious objections to your teammates or to the team you're on, let me know now and we'll try to sort through it. But please understand that there are *nine* people we're trying to coordinate here, so it's not going to be possible to make everyone completely happy.

Most of you have heard, but we're planning to get matching shirts for everyone on each team - link to a rough idea of what we're going for is here:

Final version will likely have silhouettes for the characters or some other change, but this is the general idea.

Also, I will be buying the shirts for everyone on the relay teams. A few reasons - first, and most importantly, I just wanted to extend my thanks to everyone for participating in the relay! This wouldn't be possible without your hard work, skill, and willingness. Also you've done a great job in putting up with my pestering over the last few months! Second, I didn't want to force you to have to buy a shirt if it was for a team or in a color that you aren't super excited about. Even if you aren't thrilled about your color or shirt, please be a team player and wear it. This will look really awesome and will help make the show that much better at AGDQ. It'll show great community support and unity - remember, we're in the Friday evening block, which is arguably the best slot of the marathon.

The rest is a bit of an explanation as to how I eneded up with these teams, so if you don't care, you can stop reading now. I went into this by putting the players with the best times for each game on separate teams - ie, Eazinn, v0oid, and suzuri were not together.  Then I started filling in PBs for the other games to try and get things to be as balanced as possible. Ultimately, I needed to have suzuri move over to v0oid's team to get them this close.

I think it's pretty good. There is only a 36 second gap separating the top and bottom teams - any other way that I arrange this ends up with a much bigger one (ie switching n0c and supreme takes the gap to well over a minute). In looking at the list, Supreme and Silent Wolf are the only two on here that are likely to have much improvement on their PBs, which would help bring those teams closer to the 122:30 mark.

As for how I decided which team got which name, I went originally with "Player with best time maps to Kong introduced in that game" - ie, Eazinn -> Diddy, v0oid -> Dixie, suzuri -> Kiddy. Seemd as fair a way to do it as possible. But then I had to switch v0oid and Kanis to get the teams this even, so that couldn't stick. Oh well. If you have serious objections to either Kiddy or a Pink T-shirt, then take it up with your teammates. Again, not everyone is going to be completely happy here, so the less arguing, the better.

One last thought - we did consider the possibility of using some other ideas for team names - maybe things like Team FrankerZ, Team OhMyDog, etc... but ultimately the community in general seemed to really support these team names specifically. Because if you're Donkey, you're dead.
