      ⤷ birth ; born in canada, melody had loving parents. they took care of her how any parent would take care of their newborn. they treated her as if she was the most fragile little thing, making sure to never let her out of sight.
      ⤷ childhood ; her parents soon gave birth to a young boy, now only paying attention to his needs. but, what can you expect he is a newborn after all. this had upset melody, but she brushed it off as she was happy to have a younger brother to play with now. by this time her parents had decided to move out of canada and go back to south korea so their kids could experience what it was like.
      ⤷ early teenage years ; her parents have been arguing everyday now. what she thought was a happy family was longer there. being locked in her room with her younger brother, she made sure he wouldn't have to hear the cruel things they were saying. it had gotten so bad that even melody had started to argue with her parents, she had gotten so tired of them treating her and her younger brother like pieces of trash. this had led to something that surprised melody, something she thought her parents would never do; abuse her. they had beat her everyday, but she was fine with it as look as they left her brother out.
      ⤷ now ; she has been depressed for awhile now, taking prescription medications for it. she now attends wanna high, the school her father is the headmaster at. however, she did refuse to live in the dorms because she is afraid of leaving her brother alone with her parents. she no longer interacts with her parents as she despises them for what they have done to her. she also prefers to keep quiet and not talk to people as she is afraid to open up to people.

      ⤷ melody had been of course skipping her classes and hanging out on the rooftop of the school. she had decided to take a smoke since she was alone. while taking her smoke, the door to the rooftop had been opened by someone. not minding who it was she continued to smoke, only to have someone grab her cigarette out of her mouth. irritated, she looked up to find a slightly taller boy with her cigarette in his mouth, smiling at her. ❝do you think you look cute right now? you look stupid, so stop.❞ and with that she had left the boy up on the rooftop alone with her cigarette in his mouth.

❥ FIRST IMPRESSIONS
      ⤷ melody had thought that he was just some bright and happy kid who would most likely snake of her if she did anything bad.
      ⤷ daehwi had thought that she was a loner, having no friends. but as she is his dare, he had to try very hard to get her to like him.

❥ RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE
      ⤷ beginning ; daehwi tries very hard to get melody to talk to him by following her whenever he sees her. however, melody can see that he is trying to get close with her and ignores him. seeing daehwi following melody around the school surprises many of the students in the school, as they hand no idea she was even in the school. this causes melody to get a bit of hate from the students.
      ⤷ middle ; melody finally acknowledges daehwi’s existence after his many attempts of talking to her. she starts to talk to him, getting to know more about him; other than the fact he’s persistent. daehwi finally feels accomplished after she starts talking to him, he becomes one step closer to having her fall in love with him. melody slowly feels as if she can trust daehwi and be able to tell him some of the secrets that she’s hiding; that she's depressed. they slowly start developing a crush on each other (lol so cheesy).
      ⤷ end ; both melody and daehwi become very close to each other, they do almost everything together. they both skip classes and head to the rooftop of the school to smoke or joke around. whenever they do accidental skinship, they both don't mind. they both also hang out, outside of school hours, others see them as dating but they say that they are just ❝close friends❞, even though they both know they want to be more than that.
