her mother, being a NEUROSURGEON as well as a woman empowerment icon with over 3 books on the subject, never had much time for hyejung growing up so the two never really interacted much. she was a strict woman who felt that her daughter should be independent, "if she's old enough to whine, she's old enough to take care of herself" was what she was told when she whined or cried for anything. even now, the two aren't close at all, hyejung pretty much can't stand her.

her father was a lot more lenient than hyejung's mother though he was around far less given he's a POLITICIAN with his own clothing line for business men and women on top of his own law firm. the times he was around, he was the best father possible to her. he'd take her out and buy her what she wanted but as she got older, his work load increased so they drifted apart. now, they hardly ever see each other and aren't hardly as close.

•°• THE OCEAN / BEACH : she's never really been to the beach except one time when she snuck out with friends in highschool but when she was there, she felt so free and like she could anything, the breeze blowing all her worries and endless stress away.

•°• BEING A LAWYER : don't get her wrong, she loves being able to help people get justice but she just doesn't think she's lawyer material. she's been so passive her whole life and no one at the law firm will talk to her, thinking she's just a child who only got her job because of her father even though she passed her exams with flying colors.

•°• HER FIANCÉ : she doesn't hate ilseong, he isn't a bad guy per say, he's just been raised the opposite of hyejung. he works as a doctor, which is respecatable, but he expects hyejung to be home and cooking dinner for him or to stay hooked onto his every word because he's so used to praise and people sucking up to him. on second thought, hyejung can't stand him.
•°• YOUNG LOVE : she still has a picture of her and taehyung as as her wallpaper on her phone which upsets her parents and ilseong but she really can't let him go not truly accept his reason for leaving her all those years ago.
•°• PUPPIES : she owns a yorkie puppy named HANA and a pomeranian husky named DURI, naming them one and two was a joke because she got HANA first then got DURI so that they could play together. their full name are HANAKO and DURIN but HANA and DURI are what they respond to mostly.

RELATIONSHIP :

REUNION : hyejung's parents didn't originally want her to go to the reunion but, for one of the first times ever, she pushed for them to agree to her going. given the fact that her father is running in the next election, she agreed to promote him there which made the ultimately agree to her going. hyejung wasn't really sure what she was so anxious to attend for, especially since she wasn't necessarily close to anyone and she didn't want to have to explain the situation with ilseong to those she actually liked, especially taehyung. just thinking of him being there nearly made her heart stop from excitement and fear. actually seeing him again aside from her lock screen was like a dream and a nightmare come true because she knew that things were different and that they were no longer hyehyung/taejung  ( their ship names ) but just two adults trying to get by.

they're probably the most awkward duo one has ever seen. hyejung tries her absolute hardest to avoid being alone with him because she knows that she'll end up falling into how young hyejung was. she'll hang onto his every word and want to be back with him more than anything. she keeps her distance, just talking to people she knows and sticking with ilseong no matter how annoying he may be while taehyung tries his hardest to act like there isn't an obese elephant in the room and he isnt jealous of hyejung's fiance because it isn't like he wishes he was him or anything like that. when they do talk, hyejung usually avoid eye constant and keeps things very simple with one word answers or changing subjects she finds uncomfortable.

hyejung, after realizing how foolish it is to act like a child around taehyung, actually allows the two to talk like old friends. sure it's hard and hurts her immensely because she knows she can't have him, especially now that she's engaged but that doesn't mean she should be rude to someone making an effort. there's obvious tension between the two, hyejung still confused over the breakup and taehyung feeling guilty for not being honest about the reason but they act like the never even dated in the first place, like they were just friends from the beginning. hyejung, for the first time in a long time, feels like she can honestly say she's happy. she can't really open up about everything to taehyung yet and, being that he knows her so well, he knows she's holding back which makes his heartache because he remembers the times where they were able to say any and everything to each other.

hyejung finally decides to make a decision all on her own and that decision is to be with taehyung. she, completely on her own, breaks up with ilseong and confronts her parents to defend the man she loves, regardless of his status. even if he didn't have much money, she made enough to support them both until he got a better job if he wanted one. she didn't mind not having a rich significant other nor did she care about her father's political status so she was way more than happy to finally call tae her boyfriend again after 10 years. sure her parents are far from happy but for the first time in her entire life she doesn't care and feels like she can actually live her life.

SCENES :
     + taehyung getting upset with her because she still won't go against her parents and he yells at her that she needs to grow up and be her own person and hyejung gets really hurt by that because she knows it's true.
     + tae gets hella jealous of hyejung's fiance and just rants to the rest of the boys about how ilseong stole his girl.
      + hyejung shows tae that she still has their picture as her lock screen and he's so touched that they end up kissing but hyejung pulls away because even though she hates ilseong, she can't cheat on him.
