- This pastebin will include links to videos of the main strats we use for No Wrong Warp. For the fastest movement, I recommend checking out the world record or something (http://www.speedrun.com/oot#No_Wrong_Warp). Also, read DF's Small Optimizations document (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xFBD4HK_6HuzBWRoOBcDAGL77lGSvRlplQN8jgJ27eM/). If you don't understand an abbreviation, Ctrl + F this page (http://zelda.speedruns.com/oot/generalknowledge/common-terms-and-abbreviations).

- There's two routes: the GIM route (which is the fastest) and the Kakariko bottle route (which is more accessible for beginners). The GIM route only works on Wii VC or GameCube because the texture that's rendered during GIM in the Deku Tree crashes the game on N64. If you want to play on Wii U VC, I think GIM crashes if you do it with Deku Nuts or Deku Sticks and it only works with Deku Seeds. I haven't verified that though, and I'm not going to because no one gives a shit about Wii U VC anyway.
- The difference between the two routes is that the GIM route gets light arrows and bottle in the Deku Tree with GIM, and skips getting BGS and LACS. It doesn't get the rainbow bridge, so you're required to do kokiri hovers to go to the castle. Double GIM and kokiri hovers are pretty hard to get consistently fast, so I don't recommend the GIM route for beginners. The Kak bottle route doesn't do the Deku Tree segment, doesn't get sword or shield, but gets a bottle in Kakariko. It gets BGS and watches LACS, and the rainbow bridge spawns so kokiri hovers aren't necessary.

- ~Enter Deku~
- Bridge clip is frame perfect. If you're bad at bridge clip, get the blue rupee behind Mido's house instead.

- The ultimate GIM tutorial: https://youtu.be/Nuu_APB5uGU
- (As time went on, we discovered more things about this GIM method. Consequently, information used to be spread out over a lot of different videos. But now there's the Torje™ tutorial so all of these videos are obsolete:
- First, Baker's video shows the basic inputs https://youtu.be/kb_N07HwzY0
- Then, my video corrects Baker's mistakes and adds some information https://youtu.be/_g4DOEIa6FE
- Then, Chain's video has more information about the first C-Up + A input https://youtu.be/kIi7AJp91bU
- Lastly, Torje's video has some more small optimizations https://youtu.be/AoH0uUMzg3o)

- 2f ESS turn setup (get in the corner, target the wall, 2f ESS right, do a vertical slash and backflip immediately after the vertical slash, sidehop jumpslash) https://youtu.be/EuzzKh34Nls?t=10m35s
- 1f ESS turn setup https://youtu.be/Rncufl_6W3M
- You do crouch stab WESS across Hyrule Field, which is faster, but I personally don't like it because it's not consistent for me https://youtu.be/VkECZebhzGI
- Movement up the chains https://youtu.be/rTECGSf-2uQ?t=8m31s
- This movement is fun to optimize. Turn around and roll when you see the end of the white fence. Roll alongside the stone and target the stone near its left edge (not precise at all). Sidehop left 7 times, hold down to jump off, and time your left input so you get two red rupees. (Note: if you often find yourself climbing up the stone instead of sidehopping, that's because you're pressing A to sidehop before the camera has fully turned, so you'll quick climb. To avoid this, make sure you don't press A to sidehop before the camera has fully turned.)

- ~Odd Mushroom~
- Sidenote: get used to bombs c-left, bottle c-down, trade item c-right. It's the fastest.
- Poe WESS (don't do this unless you're going for very competitive times)
- Fast setup https://youtu.be/rzrwe6LZDRo?t=20m

- Goron City HESS without ESS angle changes (saves 6 seconds) https://youtu.be/JCqXwfY7E3I
- Note: after leaving Goron City, always check if you have at least 20 rupees. If you don't, the rocks from the rock circle in front of Goron City always have 3 hearts/rupees in them.

- If you have trouble with megaflips but you're good at HESSing, you can also not do the megaflip and use the bomb for a HESS in Kakariko https://youtu.be/hX5y4zkTgvQ?t=24m35s
- The megaflip is faster https://youtu.be/k6FpYzCbGXA

- Ground clip into Darunia's room https://youtu.be/tTEdiwXe-Mo?t=25m38s
- Be sure to release your analog stick after clipping, otherwise you'll kill your momentum and likely fall out of bounds

- Kokiri hovers https://youtu.be/jmJQuY7YYbA
- Trials skip (2 bombs) https://youtu.be/EuzzKh34Nls?t=33m58s
- If you're not good at ISG, you can also use 1 bomb to get ISG and 2 more to do the hover. For the hover, it's important to wait a little bit between dropping the 2 bombs (if you drop the 2nd one too quickly after the 1st you'll get damaged)
- the rest is, you guessed it, *under construction*

- ~Kakariko~
- Good example https://youtu.be/cO1xeaK99uA
- Optimizing movement for this segment is extremely important. If your movement is good enough, you can enter the castle before night and you won't have to do the shop clip.
- If you're practicing this, you can use the in game time to check if castle before night is possible. Talk to the guard at the entrance of Kakariko and eventually he'll tell you the time. If it's 16:17, you can still make it. If it's 16:18, you can't. My personal best is 16:12, ikswozol's is 16:10.
- Oh, and remember to hold down while landing in the water when doing the red rupee trick. Makes it much more lenient.
- The jumpslash into the loading zone barely saves time and isn't required to get castle before night. I mostly do it because it looks cool.

- Owl skip https://youtu.be/tTEdiwXe-Mo?t=8m12s
- Target the wall at the right edge of the white texture on the wall, sidehop left, turn around, target the sign and hold in between down and down-right on the analog stick.
- Movement up the chains https://youtu.be/rTECGSf-2uQ?t=8m31s
- This movement is the most important to optimize if you want to get into the castle before night.
- Swordless shop clip
- Fastest setup https://youtu.be/vBUH0YqcRsQ
- Alternative, slower thing https://youtu.be/FvDUlT7pWxQ
- Door of Time skip (Aliensqueakytoy's tutorial) https://youtu.be/0BE2GYMD_6U
- After this, it's the same as the GIM route from ~Cojiro~ until ~Magic~, and then:
- ~Broken Sword~
- Damage OI (press either B or C-right on the first frame where the fire hits the edge of the screen) https://youtu.be/tTEdiwXe-Mo?t=28m33s
- Megasidehop into WESS https://youtu.be/tTEdiwXe-Mo?t=28m58s
- Bridge megaflip beginner tutorial https://youtu.be/QJymBTdTu8E
- Alternative method https://youtu.be/ts3j2axGR94
- ~Trials Skip~
- After RBAing the Broken Sword, you can do 2 things:
- 1. OI, play prelude to go to LACS.
- 2. Savewarp, go to LACS.
- Option 1 makes you leave LACS with a stick on B (over which you have to equip the master sword), option 2 makes you leave LACS with your master sword still on B (only on 1.1/1.2). If you do option 1, you have to superslide at the Ganon fight to preserve your master sword, but if you do option 2, you can just walk into the Ganon fight like normal. Ganon will knock away your sword, but you'll still have it in your inventory and you can just equip it.
- Option 1 is faster by about 6 seconds, but option 2 is recommended for beginners/people that are bad at supersliding.
- *under construction*
