  133. Nickleback:
  134. The world under heaven, after a long period of division, tends to unite. After a long period of union, tends to divide. This has been so since antiquity, and repeats itself our heroes continue their adventures through North Taleros once again, under the constant strife between the Ferdinand and Sal kingdoms, the looming presence of sin and Elliacs, and finding the truths behind the disappearances of their masters. As we left off last time, Ivan had uncovered the name of the woman who first discovered the mysterious Calamity Child; An Elliac by the name of Guere, characterised by her writhing tentacular hair and pitch black sclera. Erstwhile, Mary and Ciel were most unfortunate victims to Shinobi Jack, an infamous thief from up north in a small dwelling known as Thelme village.

  147.
  148. Nickleback:
  149. Currently you're in Parles, the small-ish starting town where Eriel lives. That's the dude who sent you on this Calamity Child shindig in the first place.
  150.
  151. Nickleback:
  152. Also there was something about a sister unit and a dragon but that didn't happen anymore
  153.
  154. Mary:
  155. Mary storms out of the marketplace, and shoves her club into the ground in frustration. "How that happen?! So much gold... all gone! You not see him, Ciel?"
  156.
  157. Ivan:
  158. (I'd better keep this to myself...Tearyn knows what those two would do if they knew the truth about this. But how do I get information about an Elliac without getting hung...)
  159.
  160. Nickleback:
  161. Also there's a handy dandy map on the other page if you're ever inclined to see it
  162.
  163. Ciel:
  164. Ciel blinks slowly, "I must apologize, Mary. But I did not see the person you are speaking of..."

  181. Ciel:
  182. "It would be wise to plan out a course of action before running headlong into the enemy's base of operations."
  183.
  184. Nickleback:
  185. Meanwhile, it seems that two random guards from around Parles are liked-minded in your issue, and have still been swiping around the air trying to hit invisible ninjas.
  186.
  187. Nickleback:
  188. Yes that was a thing that was happening last time
  189.
  190. Nickleback:
  191. You were out of the weapon store
  192. Mary: (( >Wisdom ))
  193. Mary: (( yer hilarious ))

  195. Mary:
  196. "Running IS plan!"
  197.
  198. Ciel:
  199. "Perhaps gathering information on the target would prove the best course of a-if you insist." Ciel glances about, scanning the area, "Perhaps the guards would have information for us?"
  200.
  201. Mary:
  202. "And GOOD plan, too." Mary fumes to herself.
  203.
  204. Anetti of Clearbane:
  205. "Halt! Did you...*huff huff* did you so happen to see a thief run by here? I could have sworn on my life he absconded through here!"
  206.
  207. Ivan:
  208. Ivan runs over to the weapons shop at full speed, trying to catch the two musclewomen before they inevitably wander off and he can't find them, "Agh..hah..Hey! I've got n-...Uh, we're not in trouble, are we?" He pauses when he notices the random guards surrounding the two.
  209.
  210. Ciel:
  211. "Negative." Ciel responds in reply to Ivan. "We appear to be after a common 'enemy'."
  212.
  213. Mary:
  214. "Thief? He here? WHERE? WHERE HE GO?" Mary growls, clutching her boneclub with murderous intent.
  215.
  216. Ivan:
  217. "...whoa, calm down there, tiger. A thief?"
  218.
  219. Sir Tenille:
  220. "Blast it! We truly have lost 'em! Tell me, at what ETA did he get here?" One of the guards pants out under tired breath.
  221.
  222. Ciel:
  223. Ciel processes for a moment, "Approximately how long ago did said person steal your belongings, Mary?"
  224.
  225. Ivan:
  226. "So...what'd this thief pilfer? Money? Valuables(do we have valuables?)? Something sentimental? And what did they look like?"
  227.
  228. Mary:
  229. "Steal... be- oh! Just in store, you know that!" Don't you have some sort of clock in ya
  230.
  231. Ciel:
  232. "Negative."
  233.
  234. Ivan:
  235. the only clocks in this game cost 2000 gp and weigh 200 pounds
  236.
  237. Ivan:
  238. and are water clocks
  239.
  240. Mary:
  241. "Almost all money." @ Ivan "Not counted... but heavy! We find him, get it back!"
  242.
  243. Ciel:
  244. "However, I can assume that we were in said market approximately five minutes ago." She turns her attention to the guards, "Approximately five minutes ago, is my estimation."
  245.
  246. Ciel:
  247. "Approximately 945.40 gold." She turns back to Mary, "Give or take."
  248.
  249. Mary:
  250. "Take. He took it."
  251.
  252. Sir Tenille:
  253. "5 minutes!? Blimey! We'll have our heads on a pike and ground into pig slop if we don't get back Captain Kather's precious belongings!"
  254.
  255. Ciel:
  256. "Understood."
  257.
  258. Ivan:
  259. "...like a skipping lute. Did you get hit on the head...? So, we're looking for a petty thief. More important than when they got here, where'd they head?"
  260. TWILT has connected.
  261.
  262. Anetti of Clearbane:
  263. "Sincerest apologies, but today has been a very stressful day for all of us knights, as you would know."
  264.
  265. Mary:
  266. "Shopkeep say north!"
  267.
  268. Sir Tenille:
  269. "Up north...Thelme Village you say? Double blast...we don't have the permissions to go up there yet!"
  270.
  271. Ivan:
  272. "To...where? A lot of things are north, Mary. ...Thelme? Huh..."
  273. Ivan:

  277.
  278. Anetti of Clearbane:
  279. One of the knights holds his helmet in as he sheiks so hard you can see his helmet visibly vibrating. "Now we're REALLY in for it!"
  280.
  281. Mary:
  282. dat FAir
  283.
  284. Anetti of Clearbane:
  285. the smash hype is real
  286.
  287. Ivan:
  288. "Great! So, we're headed to Thelme! Do you two know the way...?"
  289.
  290. Mary:
  291. "North!"
  292.
  293. Ciel:
  294. "You do not have permission? That is most strange."
  295.
  296. Mary:
  297. 19 check this survival
  298.
  299. Ivan:
  300. "Lots of things are north, Mary... I might have heard of a path to Thelme."
  301. Ivan whispers: 24 Well, have I? (waiting)
  302.
  303. Ciel:
  304. "Then Ivan would most likely be the best person to lead us there." She moves over to the bard, standing uncomfortably close, "We should stay close so as not to get separated."
  305.
  306. Ivan:
  307. Ivan is quite comfortable being uncomfortably close, "...you know, I rather like that idea. Yes! Stick close, very, very close, or you'll run the risk of getting lost!"
  308.
  309. Ciel:
  310. "That would be most wise."
  311. Player "Ivan" is not connected.
  312. You whisper to Thrice: You know of a pretty clear-trodden path to Thelme village; However it's quite murky and rocky, making it unideal for horses and caravans to pass through. This is an area known as a no-pass zone to most mainline travelers, but it's not terribly hard to pass on-foot.
  313.
  314. Mary:
  315. "Not..." Mary lightly pushes the two apart. "THAT close." She glares at Ciel.
  316.
  317. Ciel:
  318. Ciel looks over at Mary, "Affirmative."
  319.
  320. Ivan:
  321. "Awww...Well, uh! I'm glad to say, I do remember a straightforward trail, but...we'll have to go on foot. Unless you can find a flying horse!"
  322.
  323. Ciel:
  324. 1
  325.
  326. Sir Tenille:
  327. and thus the precedent is set
  328.
  329. Ivan:
  330. 3
  331.
  332. Sir Tenille:
  333. "You go on ahead fellow Paladin and uh..."
  334.
  335. Anetti of Clearbane:
  336. "Seems to be a resident of Red Hell, partner. That clothing is part of their...uh...'culture.' If you could call it that..." Anetti coughs inside his helmet.
  337.
  338. Ivan:
  339. "Just a friendly songster, I! All you need to know about me."
  340.
  341. Ciel:
  342. "Perhaps when we resecure our currency, we can obtain pants for you, Mary."
  343.
  344. Sir Tenille:
  345. "Right, what have you. We'll try and follow up as soon as we recieve permission from Captain Kather to break through. Then we can properly bring justice to that common crook, hassle-free."
  346.
  347. Ivan:
  348. "Oh, now, we wouldn't want to waste our money as soon as we get it! That's a bad habit, you now. You need to put some into savings!"
  349.
  350. Ivan:
  351. know*
  352.
  353. Ciel:
  354. "That would be wise."
  355.
  356. Ciel:
  357. "...but it would also be wise to obtain clothing, Ivan."
  358.
  359. Mary:
  360. "Why need pants? Already clothed."
  361.
  362. Ivan:
  363. there we go
  364. Ciel: (( http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120507112039/megamitensei/images/0/01/Aigis_render.png ))
  365.
  366. Mary:
  367. "So - we go now? Go SOON, right?"
  368.
  369. Ciel:
  370. "Affirmative."
  371.
  372. Ivan:
  373. "Yes. Yes, you are. As wholly as you need be! We're in a hurry, so...Let's go now, sure! Remember to stick close!"
  374. You whisper to Thrice: It's a few miles away, not terribly far but still a bit of a walk
  375.
  376. Ivan:
  377. "Oh, and don't worry about preparations. It's a fair distance, but nothing that we would need hefty supplies for. We should be able to get there today!
  378.
  379. Ivan:
  380. "
  381.
  382. Mary:
  383. "You two!" Mary points her weapon of choice at the two knights. "When we beat him, we come back, let you know!"
  384.
  385. Sir Tenille:
  386. "Hopefully we'll follow through in time, so that won't be necessary!"
  387.
  388. Ciel:
  389. Ciel doesn't flinch despite Mary's massive club nearly smacking her in the head, "Hopefully the situation will be resolved without need for such measures."

  398. Nickleback:
  399. And so you head off to the path! You travel on foot for about 5 hours; for good reason, this path is known as a no-pass zone to most travelers due to its relative caravan-unfriendliness. It's covered in muck and rock, so it's not the most ideal way to go from place to place.
  400.
  401. Ivan:

  428.
  429. Ivan:

  431.
  432. Mary:
  433. "Mud okay. I like how it feels!"

  435. Ivan:

  437.
  438. Ivan:
  439. "Oh! You do? Well, then there's a certain sport I might want to introduce you to later..."
  440. Mary: (( dammit Ivan ))
  441.
  442. Nickleback:
  443. And now you have made it to Thelme village! It's awfully quiet and dusty, very run-down too. You can tell just from looking around that it's definitely one of the poorer sections of the Ferdinand district.
  444.
  445. Ciel:

  454.
  455. Mort:

  460.
  461. Mort:

  469. Ivan:

  471.
  472. Mary:
  473. "That man okay?"
  474.
  475. Mort:
  476. "Please, I know I've done many wrongs in the past, but please, take me away from this awful place! Or at least give me some coinage for my troubles! I'm starving! You wouldn't want me to pass on unjustifiably, would you?"
  477.
  478. Ciel:

  486.
  487. Ciel:
  488. "Unfortunately, I have nowhere to take you. But Justice's divine light has graced me with gifts that I can pass on to others." Ciel's expression, nor tone change, but it's clear she speaks with great pride when it comes ot Justice. She takes the beggar

  509. Ivan looks away, (Yeah, everyone except for the Elliacs, right?) "Well, that's a good creed to live by."
  510.
  511. Mary:
  512. "Wow, that made him happy!"
  513.
  514. Mary:
  515. "You do a good thing, Ciel."
  516.
  517. Nickleback:
  518. Mort being an idiot goes about bragging of his new wealth to everyone. This act of generosity seems like it's gonna spread quick...Anyway, the town seems to be peaceful enough outside of the questionable construction work and poor people lying on the streets. Perhaps its about time to ask around for information."
  519.
  520. Nickleback:
  521. -"
  522.
  523. Ciel:
  524. "Affirmative. That is my duty as a loyal follower of Justice."
  525.
  526. Ivan:
  527. "Hmm...let's go after that guy. We helped him, he should help us! I should have thought of that before..."
  528.
  529. Ivan:
  530. Anyway, Ivan trails after Mort the emasculated beggar.
  531.
  532. Ivan:
  533. With or without those two
  534.
  535. Ciel:
  536. "Perhaps that is sound logic. Information is free, at the very least."
  537.
  538. Mary:
  539. Yeah, sure - let's follow the eunuch
  540.
  541. Gerald:
  542. Once you catch up, the halfling is seen conversing with another townsman. "Mort, you bloody fool! Why would you sprance around these base streets boasting about carrying something valuable?"
  543.
  544. Gerald:
  545. *prance
  546.
  547. Mort:
  548. "Ooh, sorry! I'm just not used to holding this much coin to my name!"
  549.
  550. Ivan:
  551. "Hey, there! Little man! My friend helped you out before, so do you think you could do me a small favour yourself?"
  552.
  553. Mort:
  554. Mort prospects you as soon as you return. "Gah! Here already? You're not here to take back my coin, are ye? This better not have been a cruel joke!"
  555.
  556. Ivan:
  557. "No, no! I want to ask you something. We're looking for...a certain unsavory individual. Took some coin from us, in fact, and then fled here."
  558.
  559. Mary:
  560. "Yes. Shee-nobi Jack."
  561.
  562. Gerald:
  563. The guardsman next to the beggar has a belly chuckle "Yep, you've just described this town in simple terms."
  564.
  565. Mort:
  566. "Shin- shinough- Jack ye say? Hey, I know that guy! He lives up with his, er, momma in the uppermost house from here!"
  567.
  568. Mort:
  569. "He's always traveling away from here though. Never get to see the poor fool for long in these parts..."
  570.
  571. Ivan:
  572. "Oh? Any idea where he goes?"
  573.
  574. Mort:
  575. "Yeesh, I'm not sure. Sometimes 'e goes to ol Parles downtown, sometimes when he's feelin' REALLY lucky he takes his business over to one of the richer ferdaneese villas. Hard to say entirely, you see..."
  576.
  577. Mort:
  578. "You'll have to ask someone who knows 'im better."
  579.
  580. Gerald:
  581. "Hmm..." The guardsperson behind the halfling rubs his beard and observes you three, brewing up some kind of thought within his head.
  582.
  583. Ivan:
  584. "Oh? Got any clue as to who those would be? Sorry to interrogate you like this, but, well, it's important!"
  585.
  586. Mary:
  587. mind those eyes pal
  588.
  589. Ciel:
  590. *DETECT EVIL*
  591.
  592. Mort:
  593. "I haven't a clue. I'd try whoever is occupying his house at the moment. It's right up there, in plain sight." He speaks, pointing at the house up above.
  594.
  595. Gerald:
  596. Not very evil.
  597. Silver has connected.
  598. Mary: (( aw fuk it's a shilva ))
  599.
  600. Mary:
  601. >trading Ciel for Onix
  602. Mary: (( what's wrong with you ))
  603.
  604. Mort:
  605. "For all I know, he could be over there as we speak. It is where he lives after all..."
  606.
  607. Ivan:
  608. "Ah...well, thank you! Where could I get in touch with you again, if need be?"
  609.
  610. Mort:
  611. "Where I usually am, mate!" Mort gives a thumbs up as he flashes a smile, even if he only has about 4 teeth remaining. "That is, on the ground. I might even be able to afford a carpet now!"
  612.
  613. Ciel:
  614. "If one has faith in Justice, anything is possible, even carpeting."
  615.
  616. Mary:
  617. Mary starts edging towards the house in question.
  618.
  619. Ivan:
  620. "Duly noted!"
  621.
  622. Nickleback:
  623. As you move to the house, you now have like, 5 different faceless villagers begging for that sweet paladin money.
  624.
  625. Mary:
  626. "So many..." Mary cautiously holds her money pouch closer to her body.
  627.
  628. Nickleback:
  629. The house looks slightly well kept in comparison to the shoddy homing everywhere else around here, but not by much.
  630.
  631. Nickleback:
  632. It has a single window, but it's been long since boarded up by now.
  633.
  634. Ciel:
  635. Ciel makes her way up north, now 10GP short.
  636.
  637. Nickleback:
  638. There's also a small flower patch out front, seems to have just been watered today.
  639.
  640. Ivan:
  641. "Don't worry! I've got an eye for pilferers, Mary! Now, then, you two stay here! You can't just knock on his door..."
  642.
  643. Mary:
  644. Mary peers in through the cracks between the boards, if applicable
  645.
  646. Nickleback:
  647. You manage to shoot a glance inside of the house; It's a rather homely place, not especially run-down, but obviously not very rich either. In the middle of the room is a middle-aged woman wrapped around in a blanket.
  648.
  649. Ivan:
  650. "Erm, I think we should do this a little more peacefully! At least until we figure out if he's actually here."
  651.
  652. Ciel:
  653. "Affirmative. We do not wish to have any bloodshed."
  654.
  655. Ivan:
  656. "Now, just stay here! Please! He doesn't know my face, after all."
  657.
  658. Mary:
  659. "I'm LOOKING!" She whispers back at Ivan. "Only a woman inside. She sick?"
  660.
  661. Ivan:
  662. After making sure the other two aren't standing over his shoulder, Ivan raps on the door.
  663.
  664. Nickleback:
  665. no more DK rap dammit
  666.
  667. Mary:
  668. (crs) well what else do you have for me
  669.
  670. Ivan:
  671. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PABJ_fS7yBk
  672.
  673. Ivan:
  674. "Mary, stay back..."
  675.
  676. Nickleback:
  677. After a moment, you hear a creaking noise, followed by footsteps and eventually the door opening.
  678.
  679. Mary:
  680. Fine then - Mary hurries to the other side of the house when she sees the woman moving to the door.
  681.
  682. Agnis:
  683. A woman, looking of about 40-ish years of age, glares at you with a look that implies both questioning and a feeling of "oh god not this shit again"
  684.
  685. Agnis:
  686. "...Hello? What do you want?"
  687.
  688. Ciel:
  689. Ciel stands awkwardly "between" the two, glancing back and forth between Mary and Ivan.
  690.
  691. Mary:
  692. She crouches down and peers around the corner, lifting up her skull to get a better look.
  693.
  694. Ivan:
  695. "Erm, hello! Why the long face? Is something wrong?"
  696. Silver:
  697. she just thinks Ivan is a manwhore
  698.
  699. Ivan:
  700. then she'd be right
  701.
  702. Agnis:
  703. "...I'm not interested in whatever you're selling. I swear, this is getting more and more common as time goes on..."
  704. Silver:
  705. you MONSTER
  706.
  707. Agnis:
  708. The woman coughts a little into her sleeve, but recomposes herself instantly.
  709.
  710. Agnis:
  711. *cough
  712.
  713. Ciel:
  714. "Negative. We are not selling anything." Ciel replies from halfway across the yard.
  715.
  716. Ivan:
  717. "Oh, no, no! I'm not moneymonger. I'm actually, ah..." He looks around a little shadily, before answering, "I'm here to talk to your son, you see!"
  718. Silver:
  719. also where exactly IS this random-ass village as far as map things go
  720. Silver:
  721. and HER SON IS DED
  722.
  723. Ivan:
  724. It's north of Parles
  725.
  726. Ivan:
  727. not actually on the world map
  728.
  729. Ivan:
  730. But Parles is
  731.
  732. Ivan:
  733. I'm no moneymonger*
  734. Silver:
  735. moneybags
  736. Silver:
  737. that BITCH
  738.
  739. Agnis:
  740. "My son? You mean Jack? Why on earth did he tell you about me..." The woman grinds her teeth a little. "Did he buy some faulty medicine from you or something?"
  741.
  742. Agnis:
  743. "More and more, strange men are coming here over these deals with my son...can't you give me a break for a few moments?"
  744.
  745. Ciel:
  746. Ciel glances about, her eyes focusing on random things about the town before returning her gaze to Ivan.
  747.
  748. Ivan:
  749. "Erm, I'm truly no salesman. Just an acquaintance! You could call me a friend of Jack's! I've been looking all over for him, but he's always just out of reach. I remembered he mentioned his mother once, so I figured I would ask. Do you have any idea where he is?"
  750.
  751. Ivan:
  752. 21
  753.
  754. Ciel:
  755. Ciel turns to Mary, "I was not aware that Ivan knew this fellow, nor that he was an acquaintance of his. This issue will be resolved in no time with this new found knowledge."
  756. Silver:
  757. yep.
  758.
  759. Ivan:
  760. you are within the range of my bow, please do not say anything that would give me away or i will seal your lips with an arrow
  761.
  762. Mary:
  763. 9 may as well Sense that myself
  764.
  765. Mary:
  766. naw I totally believe yaa
  767.
  768. Agnis:
  769. Agnis calms down a smidgen, but still retains an overwhelmed feel to her face. "That's a relief. Are you a co-worker of his? He's always elsewhere... working himself half to death, just to be able to afford my basic medication..."
  770.
  771. Agnis:
  772. "Often quite literally, at that. They only sell this stuff over in Parles...and...some places in Ferdinand I can't remember."
  773.
  774. Mary:
  775. Mary nods eagerly to Ciel.
  776.
  777. Ciel:
  778. "What a noble cause."
  779.
  780. Agnis:
  781. "I blame the pointless strife between the Sal and Ferdinand Kingdoms for this shortage,I swear...thank Franga that seems to be coming to an end soon."
  782.
  783. Ivan:
  784. "Yes, I've heard..and experienced. It's a shame he can't be around more often...very hard to find, when you need him! He rarely spoke of his motivation for work, however! What kind of medicine do you require, if I may ask?"
  785.
  786. Ivan:
  787. the friendliest lying son of a bitch ever
  788.
  789. Agnis:
  790. "It's a kind called Stormseed Extract, taken from the Stormseed Willows that grow in remote locations in Casvanja. It works pretty well for the kind of tree that is..."
  791. * Thrice rolls secretly to you: 9 A long shot, but I DO have Knowledge: Nature => Invalid expression: 9 A long shot, but I DO have Knowledge: Nature.
  792.
  793. Ciel:
  794. "I have never heard of such a tree."
  795. You whisper to Thrice: you know that it's definitely a tree that exists and it's dangerous. But you know nothing else about it aside from that.
  796.
  797. Agnis:
  798. "...It's not a very well-known one. But all you need to know about it is that it's, well, quite violent. Putting one down long enough to extract its nectar often takes away at least one life each time."
  799.
  800. Ivan:
  801. "Hmm...a medicine, from such a treacherous plant! Odd enough, it makes sense. Even poison and medicine are closely related."
  802.
  803. Ivan:
  804. i wouldn't mind riding ciel
  805.
  806. Ciel:
  807. My armor.
  808.
  809. Ivan:
  810. "But, erm, getting back, do you know where your son is? It's more than a little urgent that I speak to him! I wouldn't have bothered you so, otherwise..."
  811. Mary: (( ahaha, no ))
  812.
  813. Agnis:
  814. "Anyway...my son said that he should be here relatively soon...ish a while ago. If you're in such a hurry, you can head down over to Parles. If not, you may as well stay here for an hour or two."
  815. Mary: (( I am ))
  816. Mary: (( as it turns out, it's 4-player FFAs ))
  817. Mary: (( with time, and 6 minutes ))
  818. Mary: (( items on ))
  819. Mary: (( fuck New York : ))
  820. Mary: (( | ))
  821.
  822. Agnis:
  823. "Also, try not to step on my flowers..."
  824.
  825. Ciel:
  826. Ciel looks at the ground to make sure she isn't stepping on any flowers.
  827. Mary: (( I like the "wait at his mother's house" idea. ))
  828. Mary: (( that's gonna be a heartstopper. ))
  829.
  830. Ivan:
  831. "No worries! I'm more liable to sit down and paint a picture of them. I wish no harm to beauty, especially since it's so rare, in a town like this. Well, I'll take my leave, just for the moment! I wouldn't want to impose on your kindness. Is it fine if I return in half an hour or so, to wait for your son?"
  832.
  833. Agnis:
  834. "You appear to be friendly enough. Just so long as you try nothing strange...I get enough people like that already."
  835. Mary: (( she has every STD ))
  836. Mary: (( and she didn't even get them the fun way ))
  837. Mary: (( poor woman ))
  838.
  839. Ivan:
  840. "No worries! I'm thinking nothing of the sort. I'll see you shortly!"
  841.
  842. Agnis:
  843. Still with a tinge of worry, Agnis nods her head and sounds off a single affirmative "sure..."
  844.
  845. Ivan:
  846. Ivan nods, waves, then heads off to the street, hoping Ciel and Mary at least go around uinstead of stomping through the yard.
  847.
  848. Ciel:
  849. Ciel follows Ivan out of the yard, staring at the ground so that she doesn't trample the flowers.
  850.
  851. Mary:
  852. Mary won't be stepping on any flowers, but isn't about to go the long way around
  853.
  854. Ivan:
  855. "So...We have a lead, now! We know he should be here, sometime soon. I think it would be wise for me to wait inside...you can stay outside the house, maybe behind it. Just make sure you aren't seen!"
  856.
  857. Ciel:
  858. "I have successfully avoided trampling the flowers."
  859. Silver:
  860. #fuckingsuccess
  861.
  862. Mary:
  863. "Okay... I can hide. But... he was stealing for medicine?"
  864.
  865. Ciel:
  866. "Affirmative. So you will wait inside with the woman and we will wait outside, out of sight."
  867.
  868. Ivan:
  869. "Unless that woman is a better soothwarper than I, I'd say he was."
  870.
  871. Ciel:
  872. "Then that is a most uncomfortable situation. Theft, however, is still looked down upon regardless of its purpose."
  873.
  874. Ivan:
  875. "Now...I think I want to ask around a little more, for a bit! I won't bother you with the details, but I'd like to know a little more about this town. You two should try and find out what you can, as well1"
  876.
  877. Ivan:
  878. !*
  879.
  880. Nickleback:
  881. It's now atm a bit into the afternoon, with sundown due to be arriving in an hour or two.
  882.
  883. Ivan:
  884. I actually do want to ask someone something
  885.
  886. Ivan:
  887. Mostly, Mort and that guard, if the town has had any problems with Elliacs lately; hopefully away from Marciel
  888.
  889. Ciel:
  890. Ciel wanders over to the large statue in the center of town and examines it.
  891. Ciel: (( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuB_Pm4Xxbs ))
  892.
  893. Nickleback:
  894. This statue, as soon as you get past about 3 more beggars, depicts an artists rendition of one of the Vazul that became one of the 8 Matriachs of the Dark Flame. Statues held in honor of the Vazul aren't very common around here, and one that still stands often implies that its been up for a very long time.
  895.
  896. Nickleback:
  897. the Vazul, by the way, are the demons that inhabited the earth long before humans did, alongside dragon. They typically register as evil.
  898.
  899. Nickleback:
  900. *dragons
  901.
  902. Ciel:
  903. "What an unsightly statue." Ciel scans the area, "I can only hope that this remains from a time long past..."
  904.
  905. Gerald:
  906. Gerald here seems to be quite privy t your elliac question. "Elliacs, huh? Are you here for that there uh...witch hunting caravan too? They just passed through here, as a matter of fact..."
  907.
  908. Mary:
  909. Mary just... wanders around town, I guess. Any particular sights to see?
  910.
  911. Ferdaneese Knight:
  912. Around town, you notice some Knights, walking on-foot from Ferdinand, have finally arrived in-town. They seem to be rather uncouth, stepping over any beggars that try to grovel at their feet, and in some cases kicking their dirty teeth in. "Absolutely disgusting town, this is."
  913.
  914. Ivan:
  915. "...really, now? Well, you see...actually, I'm on the hunt for a specific beast. I've been tasked with tracking it down, but I've seen hide nor hair. It's a difficult job, for sure. Heard anything of a bronze-skinned, black-eyed Elliac, with snakelike hair?"
  916.
  917. Anetti of Clearbane:
  918. "Hey, hey! I can't believe we made it! Now to just scout around the town a little..."
  919.
  920. Anetti of Clearbane:
  921. From right behind you Mary, however, you feel a very large presence behind you breathing heavily.
  922.
  923. Mary:
  924. aw shit, someone more physically intimidating
  925.
  926. Mary:
  927. I CAN GET LARGE TOO
  928.
  929. Mary:
  930. *suplexes*
  931.
  932. Dong Pai Pan:
  933. The gigantic man covered in black plating rubs his chin, lifting his single eye up, in a "I like what I sees" type expression. "Well, well, well! I nevuh knew it was my burthday or sumthin'! I knew becomin' a knight had its benefits!"
  934. Silver:
  935. hippo*
  936.
  937. Ivan:
  938. that dong's got it for ya hard, mary
  939.
  940. Ariem:
  941. A far smaller man accompanying him tries to calm him down. "N-no sir, don't get the wrong idea. I think that may be a...a...barbarian!"
  942.
  943. Mary:
  944. Tightening her grip on her greatclub, Mary turns her head. "You need help?"

  954.
  955. Ciel:
  956. "Greetings, Mary. I see you are interacting with the locals."
  957.
  958. Gerald:
  959. "...Snakelike hair, you say? You seem to be awfully knowledgable about this..."
  960.
  961. Mary:
  962. "Yes! It is this man's birthday."
  963.
  964. Ciel:
  965. "Oh? What a special occasion."
  966.
  967. Gerald:
  968. "Anyway, I think we may be on the right page here...the supposed Elliac was previously seen in Parles, but sources said that she headed off to a remote village near Sebury. The problem is, this path is quite unsafe on-foot and unaccompanied. It's far safer to just take a caravan; But I'm not sure if that'll do it..."
  969.
  970. Gerald:
  971. "Rumor has it that Thulsa and his men roam that path too. A very hazardous route indeed..."
  972. Silver:
  973. whos Thulsa
  974.
  975. Dong Pai Pan:
  976. "A BAHBARIAN? From uh, dat Red Hell place? EXOTIC! Say, you're probahbly all worn and tired from eating sand or flinging poop at eachother in all day or whatever it is your kind does; How 'bout comin' with my army as a, heheh, special mascot of ours, huh? I'm sure da boys back at home would 'preciate it, know what I'm sayin'"
  977.
  978. Ivan:
  979. "That coincides with what I know...And it only makes sense that I would know a lot. It's my duty to find he--it, after all. It's...a touch personal. As for the road...Thulsa? You don't say. That name hits close to home as well. I think I will search out a caravan to ride, as a matter of fact!"
  980.
  981. Ariem:
  982. "Dong, noooooo D: "

  984. Mary:

  1238.
  1239. Ciel:
1240. "Justice's healing abilities are as powerful as her blade."
  1241.
  1242. Dong Pai Pan:

  1254.
  1255. Ciel:
1256. "Error in logic. Subject is not technically a pig, despite an abundance of fatty tissue and similar facial structure."
  1257.
  1258. Ivan:
1259. Ivan rounds the corner to see a magic robot, an amazon, and a midget standing over a fatass, "I'm sure I've heard a joke that started like this... Hark! What happened here?"
  1260.
  1261. Ariem:
1262. "I don't think I can carry him back to the group..."
  1263.
  1264. Ciel:
1265. "Subject's body structure is similar to a sphere; perhaps rolling is the best option for transportation?" Ciel looks over at Ivan, "Greetings, Ivan."
  1266.
  1267. Ivan:
1268. "I...can't help you there. I'm not touching him. He's about as far from my tastes as possible...did this man get into a brawl?"
  1269.
  1270. Ciel:
1271. "Affirmative. This man attempted to take Mary away."
  1272.
  1273. Ivan:
1274. "Did he, now? Well, we can't have that! On that grounds, he deserved what he got, I'd say. You look fine, though, Mary...he didn't even get a shot at you, did he?"
  1275.
  1276. Mary:
  1277. "He grabbed me." : |
  1278.
  1279. Ciel:
1280. "We worked effectively, and efficiently, as a team before any harm could befall Mary."
  1281.
  1282. Ivan:
1283. "Ah...huh. (Can't say I blame him, as dumb as that was.) At the least, nothing came of it, it seems! You handled it well, as I'd expect."
  1284.
  1285. Mary:
1286. Mary walks around in a huff, and grabs the blob by the nape of his armor. She turns to the little red knight. "Where you come from? I help move him."
  1287.
  1288. Mary:
1289. She'll just be dragging his fat ass.
  1290.
  1291. Ariem:
1292. "Uh, thanks...just down here is all I need...be mindful of the beggars lying in the street...."
  1293.
  1294. Ariem:
1295. Ariem heads to the yellow square
  1296.
  1297. Ivan:
1298. "I wish I could stay here and help, but I ought to head back, and wait for Jack."
  1299.
  1300. Mary:
1301. Mary strides towards the drop zone, Dong in tow
  1302.
  1303. Ciel:
1304. "Did you find what you were looking for in town?"
  1305.
  1306. Sir Tenille:
1307. "Oi, 'ell happened with Sir Dong?"
  1308.
  1309. Ariem:
1310. "Uh, he walked in and slipped on an ice cube..." If he told the truth, they'd probably have the right to lock Mary the fuck up.
  1311.
  1312. Mary:
1313. "Weak neck. Shame." The : | never wavers.
  1314. DJ PikaPika:
  1315. :|
  1316.
  1317. Ivan:
1318. "Ah, I did, thank you for asking! It seems that after our little ordeal, I need to head back to Parles, and then go to Selbury from there, via caravan. Do you think you two would like to come along?"
  1319. Agi is disconnected.
  1320.

  1333. Ciel:
1334. "I cannot speak for Mary, but if it will help me spread the word of Justice and perhaps find the good Father, then I will accompany you."
  1335.
  1336. Ariem:
  1337. everyone was busy ):
  1338.
  1339. Ivan:
1340. "It may indeed! Just beware, I've heard reports that bandits have been attacking caravans along the route. Make yourself ready before we go!"
  1341.
  1342. Ivan:
1343. are you sure you want to go? A: Yes/I need to prepare more.
  1344.
  1345. Ciel:
1346. "Will you require my assistance at the house?"
  1347.
  1348. Nickleback:
1349. The house itself seems pretty peaceful as usual.
  1350.
  1351. Ivan:
1352. "I shouldn't! And I can't bring you in, for sure. She might get suspicious."
  1353.
  1354. Ciel:
1355. "Affirmative." She glances back at Mary's location, "Then perhaps I shall look around further, Mary seems to have that situation under control."
  1356.
  1357. Ivan:
1358. "But of course, I'd like you to wait somewhere outside at some point, for when he does eventually show up. I don't want a fight, but if I must, I'd prefer backup."
  1359.
  1360. Ivan:
1361. "For now, farewell! It shouldn't be too long." And so Ivan heads toward the house, and knocks again
  1362.
  1363. Nickleback:
1364. The door creaks open as you hear a womanly voice calls "Oh, come in!"
  1365.
  1366. Ivan:
1367. "Thank you kindly!" And so Ivan walks into the house, looking around.
  1368.
  1369. Tuskgutter:
1370. "SNEEEEER!" A giant boar on a leash stands guard around the house thing
  1371.
  1372. Agnis:
1373. Agnis is wrapped in a blanket around a chair, very much asleep.
  1374.
  1375. Shinobi Jack:
  1376. Sneak attack!
  1377.
  1378. Ivan:
  1379. hahaha

  1382. Go ahead mate
  1383.
  1384. Shinobi Jack:
1385. Shinobi Jack grabs you by the neck, restraining you from behind. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TRYING TO PULL ON MY MOM?" He whispers VERY ANGRILY under his breath. 12
  1386.
  1387. Tuskgutter:
1388. The boar charges at you, but is just barely restrained by the chain around its neck.
  1389.
  1390. Ivan:
1391. "Ah ha! I thought that voice sounded different!" Ivan wrenches himself out of Jack's grip, warily eying the boar, "Now, why don't we talk this out? I'm no good in a fight, you know."
  1392. Agi has connected.
  1393.
  1394. Ciel:
1395. "Greetings." Ciel begins speaking to the boar, "You appear to be restrained via chain." She studies the creature for a moment, "Sus scrofa. Wild boar. Exceptionally large."
  1396.
  1397. Tuskgutter:
1398. bitch I'm like miles away stop looking at me I'm shy
  1399.
  1400. Tuskgutter:
  1401. "SNEEEEER!"
  1402. Agi:

  1404.
  1405. Ivan:
1406. "I'm not here for your mother, I came to meet you. Trust me, I have no harmful intentions towards her!"
  1407. Ciel: (( http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/36/Sus_scrofa_piglet.jpg ))
  1408.
  1409. Shinobi Jack:
1410. The Shinobi takes out his kunai and points at your neck. "Oh REALLY? You better have a damn good reason why you waltzed in here willy-nilly! Are you trying to sell something? Take something back? I keep telling you, my mom has NOTHING to do with it!"
1411. Mary: (( Where was I, though? I just dumped Dong, did I get anything of a response ))
  1412.
  1413. Ciel:
1414. Ciel takes another step towards the boar, "I mean you no harm." She reaches out and places a hand on its head.
  1415.
  1416. Ivan:
1417. "Whoa, whoa, hold on! I know the whole story. I don't want to sell anything. You share a lot in common with her, given that way of thinking..."
  1418.
  1419. Ciel:
  1420. 15
  1421.
  1422. Ivan:
1423. "I swear, I only plan to talk."
  1424.
  1425. Tuskgutter:
1426. "Sneeeer..." The giant boar sniffs your robotic body all over as you rub its head
  1427.
  1428. Artis:
1429. And so predictably a young boy travels over carrying a large basket of apples. "Okay Tuskgutter, time fo- Oh! It's a Paladin! I swear, I paid him off in full a month ago!"
  1430.
  1431. Shinobi Jack:
1432. "Plan to talk huh? What do you even mean by that? Give me I good reason why I shouldn't-"
  1433.
  1434. Agnis:
1435. "Nnngh..." Jacks' tone begins to wake his mom up a smidgen.
  1436.
  1437. Shinobi Jack:
1438. "Eeeep!" Shinobi steps back and twirls a cloth around him
  1439.
  1440. Jack:
1441. "Oh, hi mom! Up so soon?"
  1442.
  1443. Ciel:
1444. "You are quite playful for such a large creature." Upon hearing the young boy's voice, she turns around, "Yes. I am a Paladin." She looks at him slightly puzzled, "This is your Sus scrofa?"
  1445.
  1446. Mary:
1447. don't leave me angin ere

  1457.
  1458. Ariem:
1459. But right now these other knights are taking Dong's knocced the fuck out body away
  1460.
  1461. Mary:
1462. In that case - Mary hikes up her loincloth, puts her club over her shoulder, and walks off back into town.
  1463. Silver is disconnected.
  1464.
  1465. Artis:
1466. "Y-yes, he is mine. I inhereted him from my father, who's been away for the last uh....5 years right now I guess."
  1467.
  1468. Mary:
1469. "Maybe... pants not such a bad idea." She murmurs to herself.
  1470.
  1471. Ferdaneese Knight:
1472. The Knights are very much still patrolling around until the time they leave.
  1473.
  1474. Ciel:
1475. "He is quite friendly." Ciel replies, "My apologies for petting him without your permission."
  1476.
  1477. Nickleback:
1478. Wearing pants is the barbarian equivalent of falling truthfact
  1479.
  1480. Ivan:
1481. "So, you do it to pay for your mother's medicine, hah? I never knew! How virtuous of you!"
  1482.
  1483. Mary:
1484. I only plan on wearing them while in town (crs)
  1485.
  1486. Jack:
1487. "Yeah, sorry for my good buddy Ivan here giving you a little scare. But hey, I'm finally home now! And with your other dose too!"
  1488.
  1489. Ivan:
1490. h-how do you know my name
  1491.
  1492. Jack:
  1493. -Ivan
  1494.
  1495. Agnis:
1496. "Oh....I see you arrived early, dear. You should warn me next time you bring home a friend though..."
  1497.
  1498. Mary:
1499. Mary begrudgingly goes to find a tailor.
  1500.
  1501. Ivan:
1502. "I apologize, as well! I should have made myself known sooner. Oh, and I'm sorry we woke you up!"
  1503.
  1504. Tuskgutter:
  1505. STILL SNIFFIN
  1506.
  1507. Artis:
1508. "I'm imprssed you had enough nerve to casually walk up to Tuskgutter here. He's usually here to scare off intruders..."
  1509.
  1510. Artis:
1511. "He has enough bite to back up his bark too. Though it's more like enough stomach-splitting tusking to back up his snorts."
  1512.
  1513. Mary:
  1514. Is THIS a tailor
  1515.
  1516. Ivan:
1517. "Now, then, Jack! What say we speak in the yard, so as not to keep your mother from her rest?
  1518.
  1519. Ciel:
1520. "Yes, his tusks are quite imposing." Ciel takes a step away from the boar so that it stops sniffing her in awkward robotic places, "It would appear that his temperament is caused in part due to being chained up."
  1521.
  1522. Mary:
  1523. is THIS a tailor
  1524.
  1525. Fess:
1526. There technically is a tailor, though it's really, really generous to call her that.
  1527. TWILT is disconnected.
  1528. TWILT is disconnected.
  1529. MarthTrinity is disconnected.
  1530.
  1531. Ivan:
  1532. m
  1533. MarthTrinity has connected.
  1534.
  1535. Fess:
1536. It's more like "shopkeeper that just so happens to occasionally be in the profession/only person around who sells the clothing around here"
  1537.
  1538. Mary:
1539. *ting-a-ling* Mary enters the store...
  1540.
  1541. Fess:
1542. Her store is full of all kinds of wares, of questionable quality, and smells kinda like stale clothing that went through the wash and then left there for days without drying. "OOoooh! Hi there! You look like a woman of fine taste, and I don't just say that to everyone!"
  1543.
  1544. Jack:
1545. Jack smiles and nods. "Yes, let's! Sorry about that mom, you get the rest you need, okay!" He sets down the other vial of medicine on the floor next to her.
  1546.
  1547. Mary:
1548. "Oh! Thank you!" We Beedle now. "I... here to get pants. You have pants?" What ARE pants, remind me exactly
  1549.
  1550. Artis:
1551. "Well it's either that, or let him run through the village unprovoked. I don't think anyone will let me do that though..."
  1552.
  1553. Fess:
1554. Fess waves her hand. "Pants is it? Well, we've been coming up rather SHORT on those, ohohoho!"
  1555.
  1556. Mary:
1557. I'll just must the mike then
  1558.
  1559. Mary:
  1560. er, muke
  1561.
  1562. Mary:
  1563. *mute
  1564.
  1565. Ivan:
1566. And so Ivan and Jack walk out into the yard, each likely trying to make sure the other doesn't shank them on the way out
  1567.
  1568. Mary:
  1569. there it is
  1570.
  1571. Ciel:
1572. Ciel glances about the city, "It does not seem as though the boar could cause too much more damage to the city..."
  1573.
  1574. Mary:
1575. "Ohohoho...?" Far from versed in clothing, she mimics the laughter to appear as though she understood the assumed joke.
  1576.
  1577. Fess:
1578. "Oh, I slay myself, no no, so here's what we have in store!" In terms of pants, all there is available are a large skirt that you'd see a stereotypical peasant girl wear, a miniskirt made entirely of belts, a pair of super short-shorts that I'd refer to as Daisy Dukes if this was the right time period, and a pair of ragged men's pants made from very visible patches.
  1579.
  1580. Fess:
  1581. this but mini http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/12/127694/2145942-ffx2lulu.jpg
  1582.
  1583. Artis:
1584. "Well, I suppose so..but it's best not to set them too off....you never know what damage could be caused...."
  1585.
  1586. Jack:
1587. Jack's smile then turns back into a violent frown. "So no really, -what- is the deal!?"
  1588.
  1589. Ciel:
1590. "That is a fair statement." Ciel blinks slowly, "My apologies, I have been rude. My name is Ciel. It is a pleasure to meet you." She turns back to the boar who she assumes is still trying to sniff her, "And your friend here."
  1591.
  1592. Mary:
1593. "Oh, oh! I like these!" Gonna go for the Daisy Dukes and -hope- that's good enough, but it won't be
  1594.
  1595. Fess:
1596. "Phew! I was hoping to finally get rid of thos- I mean, good choice! That's the perfect look for you!"
  1597.
  1598. Artis:
1599. "My name is Artis. You've become kind of famous around here in such a short amount of time due to your, uh, generosity. Is that really a wise idea, out here? You'll be run broke quicker than you know it..."
  1600.
  1601. Mary:
  1602. and they're just in children's size
  1603.
  1604. Fess:
  1605. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/equipment---final/cybertech
  1606.
  1607. Mary:
1608. "Good!" She takes the display model and immediately tries it on
  1609.
  1610. Ivan:
1611. "A deal! Yeah, that might work. So, here's my offer: you took some money from a...friend of mine, and I'd quite like it if I could get it back." (Why do I sound like a pimp) "We're in desperate need of supplies for a very important mission, you see. Considering your motivation, I'd rather not fight with you, and...I'm in no place to turn anyone into the law. But as a fellow...pariah, I'd appreciate it if we could strike a contract of sorts."
  1612.
  1613. Ciel:
1614. Ciel tilts her head slightly, "I have no real use for material goods, such as money. I do not require food, nor bedding. I am able to spread Justice's fortune amongst others. If they are happy, then I have completed my duty."
  1615.
  1616. Fess:
1617. "Satisfied? That'll be only 2 SP for the whole thing. (Somehow I had the feeling she'd gravitate towards that, oy...)"
  1618.
  1619. Mary:
  1620. do these have pockets
  1621.
  1622. Jack:
1623. "Eh? Contract? I've been roped into those before...and then I became a Shinobi just to pay the damn thing off! Why should I trust you on this of all people?!"
  1624.
  1625. Jack:
  1626. yes they do
  1627.
  1628. Mary:
1629. awwww shiiiiet I hit the motherload here
  1630.
  1631. Artis:
1632. Artis is a little unsettled. "If you don't require food or sleep or...anything, then how are you even alive? Are you alive?"
  1633.
  1634. Mary:
1635. She beams, leaves two GP on a counter, says "Thank yooou!" in a singsong voice, and prances out of the building
  1636.
  1637. Fess:
1638. "Thank you for yo-" Fess' face lights up upon seeing the GP/SP slipup, but says nothing to correct it.
  1639.
  1640. Ciel:
1641. Ciel processes some information before replying, "I am, I suppose, technically not alive in the traditional sense." She sees the confused and vaguely disturbed look on the boy's face, "I am an artificial human, created by Father Anselme to spread the word of Justice."
  1642.
  1643. Mary:
  1644. Mary now has PANTS.
  1645.
  1646. Ivan:
1647. "I would say I don't want your money, but...that's just what I do want. But considering what you use that money for...why don't we work out another method? (And now I sound like I'm soliciting sex) So how about...some information? I'm about to go on a journey through bandit territory...why don't you tell me what you know of them?"
  1648.
  1649. Ivan:
1650. "I wouldn't be surprised if you already spent what you stole, anyway..."
  1651.
  1652. Artis:
1653. "You're an...so what you're saying is, you're an automated construction? Do you even feel emotions? Are you even aware that you're talking to me right now? I never knew the kingdom could afford such advanced technology..."
  1654.
  1655. Mary:
1656. gonna SMASH these purple posts down so I can move through
  1657.
  1658. Mary:
  1659. 26
  1660.
  1661. Jack:
1662. "You got that last part right. This medicine doesn't come remotely cheap, at all. But bandits? If you're really that desperate to know, I'm gonna have to know at least what you're referring to."
  1663.
  1664. Jack:
1665. "There are many different kinds of bandits out there, and no two work exactly the same."
  1666.
  1667. Ciel:
1668. Ciel pauses briefly before replying to the boy, "Of course I am aware that I am talking to you now. I am here and you are there. We are engaged in conversation with one another." She pauses even longer before addressing the other part of his question, "I am programmed to acknowledge emotions, although I am still gathering more information on human emotions."
  1669.
  1670. Ivan:
1671. "Thulsa's bunch. I'm heading through their territory soon, on my way to Sebury. I have little choice in the matter..but it all works out. I'd like to route them out, if I can, given what they did to Flewich. What do you know about them, as a fellow...outlaw?"
  1672.
  1673. Artis:
1674. "I see...well, you're incredibly advanced for something that...isn't all that natural...gah, I'm sorry, I have no idea what's proper and what's not when referring to things like you...I should just stop here..."
  1675.
  1676. Jack:
1677. "Oh, pfft. Thulsa's gang? You almost had me worried I'd need to use my brain for a second."
  1678.
  1679. Ivan:
1680. "And trust me, this is a much better deal than you'd ever get from the people you actually stole from...they are much less...diplomatic than I am."
  1681.
  1682. Jack:
1683. "All you need to know about Thulsa and their boys is that they're all muscle, no brain. Even the silliest of distractions could probably lead them off."
  1684.
  1685. Ciel:
1686. "Things...?" Ciel ponders this for a moment, "I am...a thing...?"
  1687.
  1688. Ivan:
1689. "Is that so? Distractions, I excel at. Anything specific about Thulsa in the flesh? Also..." He looks around to ensure Mary and Ciel aren't around, "What do you know of Elliac activity in the area?"
  1690.
  1691. Mary:
1692. Ivan u horndog now is not the time
  1693.
  1694. Ivan:
  1695. THAT'S NOT MY INTENTION
  1696.
  1697. Ivan:
  1698. yet
  1699.
  1700. Ivan:
1701. I gotta see her first
  1702.
  1703. Jack:
1704. "If you want my suggestion, I'd just say to set up some kind of decoy that they'd fall for. I wouldn't want to tackle Thulsa head-on though. Dude is basically a juggernaut. Once he gets going, he's pretty much unstoppable."
  1705.
  1706. Artis:
1707. "Ah, n-no, I didn't mean it like that at all! I mean, you can think for yourself, right? I'm sure you're just like anyone else! I think..."
  1708.
  1709. Jack:
1710. "Uuuuhhh..." Jack drools dopily upon hearing that last phrase. "OooooOOo ooOO ooo OOOOO oo OOooooo OOoo, so you're -that- kind of guy. This explains everything"
  1711.
  1712. Ivan:
1713. "W-what? Well...I won't say you're completely wrong...but that's not my goal in this specific case! I need to inquire one concerning some very...confidential information."
  1714.
  1715. Jack:
1716. "*Ahem* Funnily enough, Thulsa tends to be most active wherever Elliac activity is reported. So uh...maybe you should ask them! As far as I know, uh..."
  1717.
  1718. Ciel:
1719. "I can function on my own, yes. That is 'thinking' correct?"
  1720.
  1721. Mary:
1722. Mary used Metronome! Mary used Baton Pass!
  1723.
  1724. Ivan:
1725. Ivan used Metronome! Ivan used Quiver Dance!
  1726.
  1727. Ivan:
1728. Ivan used Metronome! Ivan used Stun Spore!
  1729.
  1730. Jack:
1731. "Well, rumor has it there's a whole gaggle around Sebury...or at least one of the surrounding vilages."
  1732.
  1733. Ivan:
  1734. Exp: 5,050 Next: 9,000
  1735.
  1736. Artis:
1737. "Uh, yeah sure...that's pretty much thinking in a nutshell. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!"
  1738.
  1739. Artis:
1740. Okay so yeah the plot point
  1741.
  1742. Artis:
1743. one of you has a Map that leads to a place called "LAKE OF THE DEAD"
  1744.
  1745. Ivan:
1746. "That makes sense...the caravan I'm hitching a ride on is an Elliac hunt, after all. I...very much hope that I can prevent any terrible they plan."
  1747.
  1748. Ivan:
  1749. plans they have*
  1750.
  1751. Jack:
1752. "Elliac hunt huh? I can only imagine how stacked that'd be. I wonder if they'd have any success there though..."
  1753.
  1754. Jack:
1755. "I mean, seems like an easy target...Ah, nevermind! You got what you wanted, okay?"
  1756.
  1757. Jack:
1758. "Now please, because SOMEONE ratted out on me, there's guards rolling around everywhere, and I feel really uncomfortable right now!"
  1759. MarthTrinity is disconnected.
  1760.
  1761. Ivan:
1762. "Yep. For now! But I think I'll keep this channel open. And...hey, don't blame me for that. Like I said, I don't trust the guards. Wouldn't tell them anything. But...I wouldn't put it past my companions."
  1763.
  1764. Jack:
1765. "Darn right. This was much less painful than I thought it'd be...so I better start hiding before it becomes just that." Non-shinobi Jack absconds back to his house.
  1766.
  1767. Ivan:
1768. "...really hope they don't kill me for not getting their money back."
  1769.
  1770. Mary:
1771. that was a LOT OF FUCKING MONEY. : |
  1772.
  1773. Agnis:
1774. you hope for way too much
  1775.
  1776. Ivan:
1777. WELL HE'D ALREADY SPENT IT
  1778.
  1779. Ivan:
1780. also remember to log the save
