  1.
  2. Radiant's Watch
  3.
  4. A building created with the architecture and design of Valmasia.
  5.
  6.
  7.
  8. Cecil has entered Radiant's Watch.
  9.
  10.
  11. Cecil says, "Greetings Percival."
  12.
  13. Percival Kang exclaims, "Good evening!"
  14. Cheng Nu has entered Radiant's Watch.
  15.
  16. Breathing in, the youngest Kang searches around the halls of the Watch. It almost seemed quiet here.
  17.
  18. He shut his eyes, sighing.
  19.
  20. "I want to join the Shields." He declared. "I am a shield.. I will be the shield of the future." He declared.
  21. (Percival Kang)
  22.
  23. Sky blue gaze Percival. Nostalgic moments of kid Sima running around and mentioning his little brother, now a man. Nodding, moving a right hand to his chest forming a fist.
  24.
  25. "You must first oath yourself to the cause. We're as you mention, Shields that bring light to those that need them the most.
  26.
  27. Currently, we been training and searching for relics to repel the prgression of Chaos in Agartha."
  28.
  29. Shifting eyes to Perci feet, remenbering the obstacles and everything they have sacrifice. "Recently one of our oldest members die in the hands of Briar. Waydelle was a guiding light that we must remenber and a example of how we can't surrender to them..
  30.
  31. Anyway, sorry for interrupting your oath."
  32.
  33. A tap to his chest once again with the fist he hold proudly on top of his heart.
  34.
  35. " I Cecil, swear to protect those who cannot protect themselves, I swear to stand against darkness and corruption and to redeem those who can be redeemed and to offer whatever mercy possible to those who can't. I will never abandon an ally in combat, but will honor a sacrifice truly given. I vow to remember those who have fallen before me and to honor their sacrifice. I swear to uphold the integrity of the Order and to follow the directives of those above me. I swear these things in the hope of creating a better world, and a path for others to follow"
  36. (Cecil)
  37.
  38. Nodding along as Cecil explained what he had to do in order to join them, the Kang would only agree. It was important that he oath- he promise, he pledge himself to the cause itself.
  39.
  40. "..Okay. I will oath," He spoke. The Kang breathed in. Sera was right. He had to be selfless and protect everyone that he could, in order to get himself anywhere. He had to focus on the more important things..
  41.
  42. Most importantly, the arrival of Akasha.
  43.
  44. "...It's alright. The oath..
  45.
  46. I, Percival, swear to protect those who cannot protect themselves. I sweat to stand against darkness and corruption, and to redeem those who can be redeemed and to offer whatever mercy possible to those who can't. I will never abandon an ally in combat, but will honor a sacrifice truly given. I vow to remember those who have fallen before me and to honor their sacrifice... I swear to uphold the integrity of the Order and to follow the directives of those above me. I swear these things in hope of creating a better world, and a path for others to follow."
  47.
  48. He shut his eyes, and he felt overcome by the words he spoke for few moments. It was everything he sought to do- for years, now.
  49. (Percival Kang)
  50.
  51. You have 11 minutes left until your next check. You currently do not qualify for an RPP reward in the upcoming check.
  52.
  53. "Welcome to the Order, Percival."
  54.
  55. A brief smile offered to the youngest one, placing a hand on his shoulder and giving him a respectful nod. The tower offered harmony to exorcist mages, builded with the sacred book of Kraus and the connection of Elayna and the fairies with the lifestream.
  56.
  57. "Well, I'm usually around here guarding the tower since is located in a specific spot east of Levengard for a reason.
  58.
  59. We're the first line of defense that protect Levengard from the enemies that lurk around the east of Agartha. Dawn, and now Briar.. plus the fallen angel."
  60.
  61. Biting his lower pale lip, as he looks around the place. Walking to the stairs and waving Percival to follow him.
  62.
  63. "Come. Let me show you."
  64. (Cecil)
  65.
  66. Cecil points towards the caves and the volcano direction.
  67. (Cecil)
  68.
  69.
  70. Cecil says, "From here it isn't hard to notice the ones that walk outside the cave."
  71. Percival would smile back. It felt good to belong in a place, at least- in his home where there was nobody to be with, in the classes where he constantly failed, or with his cousins, who all displayed talents far above him, while he had nothing to show for them.
  72.
  73. "..Thank you, Cecil. It feels good to be here." He spoke, breathing in. For once, he felt at peace. He felt like he was doing right. Even only swearing the oath felt more like leaps and bounds from what he could do trying to stop Ilui from harming another person.
  74.
  75. As they ascend the tower, he takes in every room he passes, imagining what the use for it might be. One for strategy, one for other purposes.
  76.
  77. "..Here, we can see our visitors from Dawn, right? We can see if they try to mobilize and tell Levengard before danger truly comes." He declared heavily, as if he knew. Percival stared out at the forests.
  78.
  79. … He had never been one for dancing, or sitting by a fire eating Tuna like his brother. He belonged here. Defending the land, and his people.
  80. (Percival Kang)
  81.
  82. A wink is given to Percival, followed by a smile that he kept ornamenting his face. Elbows resting on the stone, enjoying the air and view.
  83.
  84. Percival words and presence let him relax, letting out a long sigh before stretching his arms.
  85.
  86. "You're a smart one, if you have time to tell Levengard is the best idea. Though sometimes they will come in short numbers trying to harm innocents that walk outside Levengard like merchants or.. kids."
  87.
  88. Too many encounters, raids and meetings have been held in this place. Cecil was younger than Percival when he joined, each day was a new challenge, helping him grow with good and bad memories.
  89.
  90. "Have you study about Kraus? I would like to give you a 'Book of Kraus' we acquire a few years ago from a shipwreck. It is around a hundred years old or more..
  91.
  92. So I really believe you could learn from it a few things if you want."
  93. (Cecil)
  94.
  95. Percival continued to stare out as he drew in a breath of the fresh air of the forests, something far different from that of Levengard he typically found. His coffee-brown gaze stares down at the forests below. He'd finally found a purpose. Something to do, with his actions.
  96.
  97. "..Of course. I meant, if they were to mobilize in larger numbers. We are the first line of defense, and if it's something little we can handle it."
  98.
  99. Percival tensed for hours, and at this point, he too would relax.
  100.
  101. "..No, and I don't think I intend to study much of the creator." He declared, glancing at Cecil with a welcoming smile before staring forwards.
  102.
  103. "..His failures are why our world is in this state. The only thing I would be able to learn are how to prevent his mistakes."
  104.
  105. ..It was odd, coming from him. Percival was typically in the fields, trying to prevent simple bloodshed. Philosophy was never his strongpoint.
  106. (Percival Kang)
  107.
  108. Kah stares at the two who were clearly best friends for a while, trying to discern why exactly they were on top of the tower... before leaving.
  109. (Kah Zam)
  110.
  111. "Everyone follows their own theology. I do believe he had mistakes, but Perci.. Are we different?"
  112.
  113. Facing the sky, closing his eyes as he focus in the other senses. Letting his mind fly between thought.
  114.
  115. "I can't remenber a single day I've in this world without commiting mistakes. From the day I was born to today. Sometimes just in thought but still is a mistake.
  116.
  117. Kraus, isn't a mortal like us but it seems not even those that carry such power are flawless. I prefer not to judge others for that reason."
  118.
  119. Of course, Sors, Ahmir and Ashalle names came to the tip of his tongue immediatly. It was impossible for him to forget what they have done to this land, what they have done to his friends and to him.
  120.
  121. "We have a few exceptions we can't forget. People like Sors that believe to know it all, I would lie if I told you that each day I didn't judge his existance."
  122.
  123. (Cecil)
  124.
  125. Percival gave a soft glance to Cecil as he spoke, and as he spoke about how everyone had to make mistakes, and it meant that they were human, and things alike that, even Kraus could make mistakes.. He shook his head, gently.
  126.
  127. "..I don't have time to make mistakes. I can't fail anyone anymore." He spoke. The Kang stared down at the forests.
  128.
  129. "The only mistake I will make will be giving up. I'll never give up." He declared sternly. Percival breathed in.
  130.
  131. "...I don't intend to study. I've never been good at it, and I don't have time to. I have to prepare for..
  132.
  133. Akasha. Once this is all over, perhaps."
  134. (Percival Kang)
  135.
  136. Sky blue revealed again to stare at Percival. Raising a brow to the Kang words, inpressed and surprised with such mentality.
  137.
  138. "Oh? Then I can only expect so much of you. Though you shouldn't put so much weight over your shoulders. It can be.. overwhelming sometimes.. must times."
  139.
  140. He knew the struggles, the desire to once save everyone and the shocking feelings that comes with failing it.
  141.
  142. "Akasha.. I wonder why now? When we we're so close to defeat Sors, when finally I felt the world stepped forward into the long stares that end in peace.
  143.
  144. Why he comes now?.. "
  145. (Cecil)
  146.
  147. As Cecil spoke of the Kang overworking himself, overexerting himself, or simply trying too hard, he draws in a strong breath and huffs just as loudly.
  148.
  149. "..If I don't do it, then we fail. I have to protect everyone with every breath of my life. I can't only look to the east where Dawn comes from. I have to look to the west where Akasha comes. The south where Briar-locke strikes from. I have to fight every battle. Every breath must have a purpose.."
  150.
  151. He stopped. He stares out further, and then he shrugs his shoulders lightly.
  152.
  153. "..Every moment matters, and Akasha has been waiting. He's waited for Dawn to fall to their last man, and reached out to offer his help, because he knows that he doesn't need Dawn's full force. Only their support when they'd bend to him.
  154.
  155. … Because, he knows that he doesn't need Dawn's numbers."
  156.
  157. He stares out, now a blank expression as he comes to the grim realization.
  158.
  159. "..And I will stop him. I am the shield."
  160. (Percival Kang)
