- This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to write.
- Yesterday was an immensely difficult day for me, as I lost my beloved cat Tia after a difficult battle with multiple serious health conditions. Many people know that I loved this cat more than words can ever describe, but most people don't know that she saved me from the darkest period of my life when I got her nearly 10 years ago. She was a misunderstood animal. Despite her angry looking appearance, she was actually the sweetest cat I have ever met.
- I've been managing her multiple heart conditions since her diagnosis earlier this year, and she was truly living her best life these past few months. I gave her everything that I could possibly give, and I'm beyond glad that I was able to give her the best possible quality of life that she could get this year. The joy I felt when I saw her starting to run and play again was unbelievable.
- Her decline due to pancreatic cancer was rapid and unexpected, and unfortunately given her weak heart, she was unable to survive it. From the time of receiving this diagnosis to her cardiac arrest was less than 30 minutes.
- I have been trying to come to terms with her mortality for the past few months, but nothing could have ever prepared me for the rush of emotions when I saw her body. Her prognosis has been guarded since I found out about her heart back in March, so I'm at least very thankful that I got a few extra months to make precious memories with her.
- I will forever cherish the time that we had together. Every extra day that she had was a blessing. I genuinely could not have asked for a better companion. She meant everything to me, and I know that I meant everything to her.
- She will be deeply missed.
- Rest in Peace, Tia
