/akg/ VGL17 Poll Results

With everyone submitting a response that passed verification, there were a total of 181 responses to the poll.

The following players have been CUT due to either receiving more Remove votes than Keep votes or having less Keep votes than potential new players' Add votes:

In terms of the potential name and model changes that were up for contention, nothing will change, as in Ceobe will stay as C E O B E, Skadi will stay as Skadoo, Red will stay as doko, Platinum will stay as Horse Pussy, and Myrtle will stay as BLOCK CERO. However, SilverAsh surpassed Amiya in popularity in the poll, meaning WA CHING WA CHING will become the second gold medal and Donkey will be demoted to one of the three silver medals. Ceobe also surpassed Skadi in popularity, meaning C E O B E will be the third silver medal over Skadoo.

Interesting notes about the poll and poll results:
>ZERO SANITY for the second time ever is the only player to receive 0 Remove votes. Second place was WA CHING WA CHING with 22 Remove votes.
>The difference between WA CHING WA CHING and Donkey was 4 votes (SA's 159 to Amiya's 155). Additionally, C E O B E got 156 votes, meaning that Ceobe is now technically higher than Amiya in the medal hierarchy.
>BLOCK CERO once again got enough votes that she could've been a medal with a total of 155, tying with Amiya and surpassing Lappland's 149. However, as before, she misses out on the medal spot by being the permanent goalkeeper..
>The only two players to receive more Remove votes than Keep votes were KO KO DA YO~ (88-93) and LA GOBLINA (86-95), so for the first time, players with more Keep than Remove votes had to be cut to make room for more popular new players. The lowest Keep vote count for a player remaining on the roster (shared between Cutest Cripple and HellaCHAD) was 102.
>This ___ Belongs to Ursus was 3 votes away from surpassing LappGOD in popularity (EB's 147 vs. Lapp's 149), meaning he just barely missed stealing the third silver medal spot from her. He was also the most popular potential new addition, with Blemishine being second place with 144.
>The least popular potential new addition was Loginknights with 155 Don't Add votes. Second place was Roberta with 139.
>Blemishine actually won the vote to become the new model for Horse Pussy with 57 votes. However, she was by far more popular as her own player, so the second-place Platinum keeps the spot instead with 41 votes.
>Some other things that happened during the poll at one point or another:
 - La Cucaracha and BLOCK CERO had more Keep votes than Donkey for decent amounts of time before Amiya managed to get enough to surpass W and equal Myrtle.
 - The new names Return to the Sea for Skadi and S.L.E.E.P. for Red were both winning at first before their current old names overtook them.
 - Puzzleton had more Add votes than Don't Add votes for a significant amount of time at the start, but by the end the Don't Add votes attained a minor majority.

Music:
After a fairly split vote, it has been determined that Starset - Infected will now be /akg/'s regular anthem, replacing Operation Pyrite's Lobby theme (BURN ME TO THE GROUND). The old anthem will likely still be used somewhere, probably as a goalhorn of some sort for ZERO SANITY.

Finally, the verification questions had the following answers:

>97 people were positive towards the bunne, with 78 specifically saying "love". 60 people were negative towards the bunne, with 49 specifically saying "hate". 11 wanted to do lewd things with the bunne and 10 were neutral towards the bunne. Shout-out to the guy that answered with "HATE THIS BUNNE. NOTHING CAN EVER COME CLOSE TO DESCRIBING THE AMOUNT OF DISDAIN I HOLD FOR THIS BUNNE. >/akg/ now proclaims that Passenger is officially the worst 6* with 62 votes, surpassing and claiming the title from Skadi and her 43 votes. The other contenders were Your Favorite with 11 votes, Mostima and Ch'en with 9 votes each, Aak and Surtr with 5 votes each, Archetto and Eyjafjalla with 3 votes each, and Exusiai, Ash, Angelina, Mizuki, Mountain, Eunectes, and Fartooth with 1 vote each. Additionally, 10 chads defied instruction with answers like ">caring about meta", ">/akg/ said", "there are no bad 6 stars", and "you are".

Thanks to everyone that responded to the poll, this has been by far the biggest response that we've gotten since /akg/ started playing, smashing the previous VGL poll's record number of responses by 45. Your support, investment, and consideration are, as always, very appreciated.
