  1. IRON MON CHALLENGE Rules:

  3. 1. Only 6 different pokemon can be used at a time. If you catch a 7th, you must release or permanently box another. (No dupes)
  4.  
  5. 2. Only 1 wild pokemon can be caught/defeated per route, it does not have to be the first one you see.
  6.  
  7. 3. Exp can only be gained by defeating trainers and the single pokemon you choose to defeat in a given route. (No mass wild pokemon level up grind)
  8.  
  9. 4. Only items that are found can be used, no store purchases (Pokeballs and Repels are an exception)
  10.  
  11. 5. Once a pokemon faints, it must be released / stored.
  12.  
  13. 6. A team whiteout results in a game over and the run needs to be restarted.
  14.  
  15. 7. The starter must be chosen at random by committing to a ball without looking at all 3 options. Once you've committed to a choice, you can check the other starters and if you see
  16. any of your top 3 favourite pokemon, it can be chosen instead, otherwise, the originally committed choice needs to be taken.
  17.  
  18. 8. If you defeat a pokemon while trying to catch it on accident, you will not be able to catch a pokemon from that route as it will count as the route catch/defeat.
  19.  
  20. 9. You have to talk to MOM when you start your journey otherwise, that's just rude.
  21.  
  22. 10. Legendaries/mythicals cannot be caught. Trainers will still have them. If a pokemon evolves into a legendary it can be used. Pseudo legendaries are okay as well.
  23. If the starter you commit too is legendary it cannot be used and you have to choose again unless it is one of your top 3 favourite pokemon
  24. Favourite legendaries can only be trio legendaries (i.e. Articuno Zapdos Moltres Etc..)

  26. 11. No lucky Egg Exp item

  28. 12. In the event that you catch or defeat more than 1 pokemon per route, you must forgo catching/defeating a pokemon on the next route you enter.

  30. 13.If a pokemon faints with an item attached to it, the item cannot be salvaged.
  31.  
  32. 14. The battle style has to be changed from switch to set
  33.  
  34. 15. If you find a shiny pokemon, you're allowed to catch it.

  38. ULTIMATE IRON MON CHALLENGE Additional Rules (Only for real gamers):

  40. 1. No leftovers item
  41.  
  42. 2. No way out gyms. Once you enter a gym, you cannot leave until you've cleared the gym leader. Beat it, or game over.
  43. You must also defeat every trainer in a gym before challenging the Gym Leader (Trainer Gauntlet)
  44.  
  45. 3. No HM moves can be used in battle.
  46.  
  47. 4. Only 6 different pokemon can be caught throughout the entire run IN TOTAL including the starter. Choose carefully. (No dupes)
  48. If 5 of your pokemon faint you may catch an extra to use for HMs outside of battle.
  49.  
  50. 5. If a pokemon is going to evolve, you cannot stop the evolution or use everstone.
  51.  
  52. 6. One Shot Dungeons. You can only enter a dungeon once and must be cleared without exiting the entrance unless the story requires a revisit.
  53. Dungeons include caves, hideouts, mansions/buildings with trainers but DO NOT include forests, routes, or safari zones.

  71. - Static Encounters: Completely Random
  72. - Pokemon Movesets: Random Completely with Guaranteed Level 1 Moves at 4
  73. - Trainer Pokemon: Random | No Early Wonder Guard, Rival Carries Starter Through Game, Force Fully Evolved at Level 30, Percentage Level Modifier at 50%
  74. - Wild Pokemon: Area 1-to-1 Mapping | Set Minimum Catch Rate at 4
  75. - TM&HMs: Random | FULL HM Compatability, TM Compatability set to Random
  76. - Move Tutors: Random
  77. - Field Items: Random
  78. - Misc Tweaks: Fastest Text, Running Shoes Indoors, Randomize PC Potion
  79. - Pokemon Base Stats: Standardize EXP Curve to Legendaries (Slow), all others to Fluctuating (ULTIMATE IRON MON ONLY)
