- Mage-Rings of Vryn, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes a total of 20 sets and ten new cards. All of the new cards are designed for each of the four major classes, but the new cards have the potential to be powerful in any type of deck: Aggro, Midrange, Hybrid, or Control.
- This week we have three new spoilers to share! I'm excited for our upcoming two new Magic sets!
- This week I'm going to share the spoiler for Magic 2017! The two sets are Magic 2018 and Magic 2019, which are scheduled for release on August 6th, 2017, and August 7th, 2018. I've had the chance to play with each of these sets so I can share more about what is new, but before that I thought I'd share what I've learned so far.
- Magic 2018 is the first set I can say has a complete design team in place from the start.
- Here's a quick summary of Magic 2018!
- Set 1:
- The Future is Bright
- Magic and Magic R&D have a pretty great track record of making sure we don't overcommit to the same concept or technology too early. In this case, they've created what they expect to be extremely powerful cards in this new class of card.

- Mage-Rings of Vryn, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes new cards for the new Magic set including a new version of Rovagug, the Ogre Titan, one of a number of new cards set up for the set, and a pair of new cards for the old Magic set.
- The New Rovagug Card:
- There is nothing in the set announcement to show this new card being in Magic. However, in this promotional video the new card's name is listed along with the "new" Rovagug on the card.
- The New Magic-The-Gathering Deck:
- Finally, the two new cards set set out for next month (and the old ones in Magic 2011) are shown for Magic 2011. One card is titled Magic-The-Gathering, and was released later this August. The other is called Rovagug the Ogre Tyrant. A second new card, titled Mage-Rings and set of four "Magic" cards, was shown earlier this month after the set was released. A Magic 2010 card named "Mage-Rings of Vryn" was shown in September that also does not match the name of a new set, but also has its own art. There are also multiple "Guilds," and "S

- Chandra's Destiny, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes a lot of the cards that came with Oath of the Gatewatch, as well as a number of additions and fixes.
- A number of cards are being overhauled for this set. It's clear that the community has had a lot of questions as to what all of those changes will be, so we've asked Brian Jackson to do an interview with us about them!
- When did you think this set would come along?
- I thought the set would finally complete the cycle of new Magic cards. In addition to the first set, Oath of the Gatewatch, we were looking at ways to put new cards in, and one of the ideas was to start introducing new mechanics. As time goes by, we'll build up that list of cards and see where we come down. It's a very long way from the last set, though!
- How big of a role will cards do in your plans as Wizards of the Coast?
- We're going to build a deck, build a strategy around it, and then focus on trying to get it into your hands or on your block. We're working on new cards and, on the upside, we're making progress right now, but the whole idea is to figure out what we should build first, before

- The Wrath of Karn, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes 24 cards from the set, which includes a handful of reprint card designs that are exclusive to Magic: the Gathering. In addition, Wizards of the Coast and Wizards Inc. announced a new feature in which they will pay tribute to their fans by releasing unique Magic sets that have been adapted or adapted versions of their sets.
- The current incarnation of Urza's Saga features eight cards, five of which are reprint cards that the set was released with.
- Two new cards are also coming next:
- Two versions of the new Urza's Saga card in red, blue,, black, and green are revealed on this list.
- And on the list at the top of this post, you'll see a brand new Urza's Saga card, which is the same one that was released in the last set of Legacy of the Vault.
- Let's take a look!
- Urza's Saga
- These are new cards that were released as a preamble to one of the new sets, Urza's Saga, which was released on October 6, 2014.
- Uranium Mine will be a rare uncommon
- The Urza's Saga block is set in an alternate timeline and follows the story lines of four people: Urza,
- =========== Legacy of the Vault? What's that? ==============
- Legacy of the Vault, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes a completely reworked artifact that changes its art direction dramatically and looks much like the original in art style and appearance. The creature will feature a long, flowing black arm and a small, translucent blade. In addition to the new creature art, Magic: the Gathering: Origins is receiving a new expansion that includes over 400 cards all being part of a huge block. The newest Magic: The Gathering release should be out by August and will be available for purchase on the site on Friday for $11.99. Like the original expansion, Magic: Origins includes over 400 sets (up to 400 cards overall). These sets offer some excellent value as well as tons of exciting new cards for your collection. What do you think about the new card design? Let us know in the comments below.
- =========== Can you give me that one more time? ===============
- Legacy of the Vault, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes three Legacy Cards: Vault Skirge, Vault Recycling and Vault Siege.
- The set comes with three new playable creatures: Nivix Cyclops, Vault Khenra and Vault Thrasher.
- Here's a preview, complete with the Vault Skirge video, explaining how it looks and how to play!

- Creatures you control get +2/+2.

- Planeswalkers In Space, the new Magic: the Gathering set, will be released next week. This new set includes thirteen cards, which is a lot! It's also the second booster pack in a long line of Magic sets that will be released in this format. There aren't as many Magic expansions that contain as much new material as there were over the past seven to eight years of the format. With all of the new and exciting cards, we now have plenty of exciting new designs to look forward to during expansion season. Check out everything from a reprint of the original planeswalkers: Avacyn, Ally of Zendikar to a reprint of Elspeth, Sun's Champion that is already included in the upcoming core set, which will expand our base with cards that you can't get any other way.
- I'm starting with Aether Revolt. While we were all busy trying to figure out what to design, here we are six years later. While we were all busy trying to figure out what to design, here we are six years later. While still working on the original planeswalkers, you may have missed the first sets that were released this weekend. I'm going to dig up some cards for an upcoming article and then go into a bit more detail on the other sets that are coming. For the time being, here's a look at what is coming to

- Wizards has announced that it's reissuing the original card of the same name. It is now a legendary rares of Niv-Mizzet, the Blood Artist.
- Niv-Mizzet Reborn is an awesome card in this set! It's a 3/5, for 5 mana.
- If you're looking at the number of 1/1/1s that are being created by your opponent in your deck this set is extremely valuable. The amount of value that those 2/1 have should be a lot to take in - the card is a lot of fun to play. While this card is just a legend it is already on the top of my lists of cards to build around since Return to Ravnica started. It will be cool to have more of these in other formats later in the year.
- Niv-Mizzet Reborn was printed in 1995 to be a card to be in the maindeck of every card in the set that is not a permanent. This was when the set was first released in the US and around the same time as Return to Ravnica. I've said before that my biggest issue regarding Return to Ravnica was not how powerful it was but rather how

- In Magic, one of the most powerful tools for defeating a deck's power level is simply having it be strong enough to win through. This is exactly what Mirrodin Block did, and in the end, Mirrodin Dragons was a card that did both. In fact, Dragons was so dominant that its name came from an early draft, "Mirrodin block." In other words, the "Dinosaurs" archetype (the set that inspired this set) ended up being almost entirely comprised of Dinosaurs that could be defeated and kept in check with Dragons as the only true counter to it.
- As Dragons rose to dominate the set over time , it became more and more obvious over time that if you wanted to do things with mana as quickly as possible, you needed to get rid of certain lands and turn things over as quickly as possible to maximize it. As such, the first set of Mirrodin block was called Rakdos Signet . A set filled with land destruction and mana screw was nothing to sneeze at, and thus was immediately recognized as the quintessential example of an awesome mana screw deck that has always been at the heart of most Magic design.
- Niv-Mizzet Reborn is an exciting new Magic: the Gathering card.
- The Niv-Mizzet Reborn card's art by Michael DiMartino
- I was very impressed to see Michael DiMartino's work, because he does an amazing job of bringing the power of his iconic cards to life. The Niv-Mizzet Reborn was one of the many cards that showed up in Modern Masters 2015 that I thought I'd see in print (the first set before Revised did not sell cards until Return to Ravnica), because of its powerful interactions, all of which were the result of DiMartino's work.
- DiMartino's work has continued into Theros. The most impressive example is the card called Outburst , which can deal lethal damage to an opponent whenever they have less than seven life.
- The rest of the cards in the set are all very exciting, and I believe DiMartino deserves credit for having worked such hard on them.
- A large number of cards in this set look to be powerful new ways to attack one's opponent.
- Outburst is particularly dangerous because it has a cost equal to its power. Since it has a cost of , an untapped land can be sacrificed to its ability with an out of your hand. The ability gives a +1/+1 counter to a creature, and the
